The Observations offered are from Robert (1945 – current) offering his commentary as Yeshua’s obedient servant, a Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).

SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Matthew 22:29 KJV
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

OBSERVATION!

Knowing and not performing is the error Yeshua is speaking of. The battle within each man to let go of control over his life is one of the ultimate tests of man’s faith and trust in our Lord.

There are many tasks masters to be faced as believers. One of those would be an act of obedience to release in faith our control over the welfare of our life and our family’s, trusting Yeshua will provide. Matthew 6:25 KJV
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

There can be no doubt no matter the condition of the world’s affairs surrounding us.

The lesson to be learned here comes from Peter as he walked on water and seeing the turmoil ahead doubted and sank crying out To Yeshua.

Matthew 14:29-30 KJV
And he said, Come. And when Peter came down out of the ship, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. [30] But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Obedience must be

1. Careful, observe to do;

2. Universal, to do all the commandments; and

3. From a good principle, with regard to God as the Lord, and your God, and with a holy fear of him. To engage them to this obedience.

COMMENTARY!

It is no new thing for Christ’s disciples to meet with storms in the way of duty, but he thereby shows himself with the more grace to them and for them. He can take what way he pleases to save his people.

But even appearances of deliverance sometimes occasion trouble and perplexity to God’s people, from mistakes about Christ.

Nothing ought to affright those that have Christ near them and know he is theirs; not death itself.

Peter walked upon the water, not for diversion or to boast of it, but to go to Jesus; and in that, he was thus wonderfully borne up.

Matthew 14:27-28
[27]But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
[28]And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

Special supports are promised and are to be expected, but only in spiritual pursuits; nor can we ever come to Jesus, unless we are upheld by his power.

John 14:12 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Christ bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace.

When we look off from Christ and look at the greatness of opposing difficulties, we shall begin to fall; but when we call to him, he will stretch out his arm, and save us.

Matthew 14:30

CLOSING OBSERVATION!

In closing, I want to relate to what you would be missing if you continue holding onto control over your life.

Is it possible you continue holding onto control only because you measure yourself  according to the world’s standards, which keeps you trapped in despair.

You claim Yeshua is your saviour, then why have you not claimed your new  spiritual life as a new born and let the Oldman die (that who you and the world see as being poor or lacking).

Here note if you claim your new spiritual life this is what awaits you by just being faithful and loving Jesus and no other, ( stop chasing after money one of the world’s gods) and by letting the  worldly connections and thoughts die in your mind having only thoughts of Jesus Christ and his love for you, you can do this; John 14:12-16 KJV

[13] And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. [14] If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it. How poor would you be when having all of what our Lord provides would be yours by praying and believing! HeaHow Royal would you be then 1 Peter 2:9 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, hear this petition before your throne. Bring unto all seeking your righteousness courage to pursue  and embrace it once found. Fill us with courage to place our control over our lives into your hands to lead us onto your narrow path that we might continue our journey filled with your knowledge, understanding, and growing wisdom. Deepen our personal relationship with you, so we become closer in our worshipping and lifting of prayers for your fulfillment of your peomises in our lives. This we give thanks in your name, Yeshua.
