I open with a commentary from Scofield, “At that time the burning of Rome had not yet taken place, Nor had the cruel outcry against the Christians, of which the conflagration was made the occasion, as yet been raised.” It was quite otherwise now. To be known as a Believer might be dangerous, and to avow oneself as the associate of so notorious a leader as Paul could not fail to be so.
Therefore, “May it not be laid to their account.” This is the very spirit which the Apostle himself years before had declared to be a characteristic of a Believers charity; “it taketh not account of evil:” and of God Himself, Who in dealing with mankind, “lays not to their account their trespasses” [1 Corinthians 13:5; 2 Corinthians 5:19]
Wranglings of men corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth” That is how Paul describes the “dissidence of dissent,” as it was known to him by grievous experience.

I bring this commentary forward to demonstrate History repeats itself in strange ways Nero had not unleashed his madness towards the Followers of Yeshua, but the atmosphere of hatred and danger was prevalent. As we see the same mindset in our world today. The madness is building, and various candidates for leadership explicitly sound their disdain for any belief in Yeshua. The comparison is the disdain for the current leadership of your nation has been taken to an extreme level. Which includes violent actions against those who support his leadership which is based on the teachings of Yeshua.

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Heavenly Father, I pray you will awaken the spirits in your children to receive and discern your truths. Remove from their minds the delusional images which are corrupting their discernment. Lift the blinders from their eyes so they might see what path they have chosen to follow. Unplug the satanic filters from their ears so they might again hear your words through the Holy Spirit. Re-new their understanding and remove all false images and supporting lies which alters the truth. Bring before them Father the ability to know your Son’s eternal existence was at the beginning “intelligence” and originated everything that is, and then became the Word. I pray for this Lord in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
Some men had once owned a sound mind, whereby to recognize and grasp the truth. And they had understood the truth, and for a time retained it. But they had “given heed to seducing spirits,” and had allowed themselves to be robbed of both these treasures, – not only the truth but the mental power of appreciating the truth.
And what had they in the place of what they had lost? Incessant contentions among themselves. Having lost the truth, they had no longer any center of agreement. Error is manifold, and its paths are tangled and complicated.

When two minds desert the truth, there is no reason why they should remain in harmony anymore. Each has a right to believe that his own substitute for the truth is the only one worth considering.
As proof, their soundness of mind is gone, and that they are far away from the truth. Paul relates the fact, they suppose that godliness is a way of gain.
The Believers in Rome were forward to go and meet Paul (Acts 28). However, when it came to the pinch, and they would be in danger of suffering with him, then they all forsook him. Paul prays that God would not lay it to their charge, intimating that it was a great fault, and God might justly be angry with them, but he prays God to forgive them.
See what a distinction is put between sins of presumption and sins of infirmity. Alexander the coppersmith, who maliciously withstood, Paul, prays against. The Lord reward him according to his works; but respecting these Believers, who through weakness shrunk from Paul in time of trial. He says, The Lord lay it not to their charge.
Observe, (1) Paul had his trials in his friends’ forsaking him in a time of danger as

well as in the opposition made by enemies. All abandoned him (2) It was their sin not to appear for the good apostle, especially at his first answer. But it was a sign of weakness, and therefore the more excusable. Yet, (3) God might lay it to their charge, but Paul endeavours to prevent it by his earnest prayers: Let it not be laid to their charge.

Here is the living example for us to recognize the depth of our relationship with Yeshua truly is, not what we fantasize it is. This is the time to find which Beatitudes will be practiced. I have reached out to Spiros Zodhiates, Th.D. (1922-2009) who I believe the Lord touched deeply to translate and comment on the Greek interpretations.

“Blessedness is not static but progressive. This progress depends upon the fulfillment of the conditions set down in these Beatitudes:

(6) “Purity of heart” can only be acquired through the continuous cleansing that believers experience when they have fulfilled the previous conditions of blessedness. the purer a person becomes, the more clearly he can see God. (7) A “peacemaker” is not simply someone who tries to stop the feuding between nations and people. It is a believer that has experienced the peace of God and who brings that peace to his fellow human beings. (Beauty of Holiness) (8) Being “persecuted for righteousness’ sake” causes a person to reach the highest level of the satisfaction of blessedness.

This blessedness begins the very moment that a person believes in Yeshua for Salvation.

Time to recognize how much control Fear has in our walk and what is the basis of that fear. As the opening scripture portrays: ” And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (2 Timothy 4:18.)

We either believe it and move forward in support, or we don’t and shrink back in fear and become a Timid Follower. Paul demonstrates to them where he is and who it is who stands with him.  However,” in contrast to these timid friends, “the Lord stood by me and strengthened me.” Christ did not desert His faithful servant in the hour of need. But gave him courage and strength to speak out bravely before the court all that it was right that he should say. The contrast which the Apostle here makes between the many who forsook him. And the One who stood by him. Reminds us of a similar contrast produced by the Lord Himself “Behold, the hour cometh, yea has come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave Me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me” [John 16:32]. Prayer goes out for all who walk in timidity “Let it not be laid to their charge.”

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father, we have heard your call to be with you before your throne. We pray Lord for your wisdom and discernment to be with us so we might know your Will. Loose unto us through the Holy Spirit all those secret gifts you hold for those saints worthy of there actions and depth of knowledge. Bring us into your pool of knowledge about our enemy so we may approach his minions and their deceptions and lies, knowing it is our shield and buckler. Polish us to be a finely honed two-edged sword that we would use it skillfully and articulately to free those bound and held captive. Know Father, we go into these battles as dedicated and devoted soldiers ready to sacrifice all for your deluded and lost children, as we love you and them with all our heart, soul, and mind. Re-enforce our fervour deepen our faith cover our grace with your love and compassion, cover us with your wings as we move forward into the deepest and darkest part of the “Den of Wolves.” Fill our reservoirs with your oil that our lanterns burn continuously and brightly lighting our path before us. We pray this in your name, Yeshua. Amen and Amen.

This, however, is not an excuse to stand on the sidelines as a Timid Believer, as you will find as the saying goes where there is idleness you will find trouble is present. We were shown in past articles we must be active at all times moving forward at the level we have obtained within our reasoning and acceptance of the truth. Knowing we have nothing to fear as the Lord has promised us, He will never give us more than we can handle. There isn’t any temptation that you have experienced which is unusual for humans. God, who faithfully keeps his promises, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your power to resist. But when you are tempted, he will also give you the ability to endure the temptation as your way of escape. (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Remember, these messages are given by a humble servant obedient

unto our Lord Yeshua as a Watchman.
