PRELUDE: It is my duty to bring forward this information. Please note that the commentary offered are quotes by Matthew Henry.
The Observations offered are from Robert offering his commentary as Yeshua’s obedient servant, a Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).
SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!
Hebrews 4:12 KJV
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
OBSERVATION!
Our simple thoughts are being used as weapons against us! In an earlier posting, it became clear a thought was not a sin, however becomes a sin once accepted and acted upon. Published March 21st, 2024. WHAT GOOD IS IT TO HEAR YESHUA’S TEACHINGS? IF WE DON’T APPLY THEM TO OUR WALK?
“Previously, we learned a temptation is not a sin until we act upon it, which would then move it into our heart to be acted upon.“
The importance then of what Yeshua is revealing in James 2:4 KJV
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
COMMENTARY!
Questioning ourselves is of great use in every part of the holy life. Let us be more frequent in this, and in everything, take occasion to discourse with our souls.
A lowly state is most favorable for inward peace and for growth in holiness.
God would give to all believers riches and honours of this world, if these would do them good, seeing that he has chosen them to be rich in faith, and made them heirs of his kingdom, which he promised to bestow on all who love him.
2 Chronicles 1:11-12 KJV
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: [12] Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
OBSERVATION!
Consider how often riches lead to vice and mischief, and what great reproaches are thrown upon God and religion, by men of wealth, power, and worldly greatness; and it will make this sin appear very sinful and foolish.
1 Kings 11:11 KJV
Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
The Scripture gives as a law to love our Lord 100%. Mark 12:30 KJV
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
This law is a royal law, it comes from the King of kings; and if Christians act unjustly, they are convicted by the law as transgressors.
as about to enter our world. Our quote was taken from the July 23rd, 2019 article LANCING A BOIL! “Like a lanced festering boil filled with poison within, once cut open, will pour out into our world and lives. Bringing sickness, lies, and all forms of temptations, never before seen or dealt with, causing confusion, despair, and hopelessness within the population of the world.”
To believe our good deeds will atone for our sinful nature, plainly puts us upon looking for another atonement. How many when doing your personal assessments have found evidence of this in your walk?
COMMENTARY!
Solomon became a public worshipper of abominable idols! Probably he by degrees gave way to pride and luxury, and thus lost his relish for true wisdom. Nothing forms in itself a security against the deceitfulness and depravity of the human heart. Nor will old age cure the heart of any evil propensity. If our sinful passions are not crucified and mortified by the grace of God, they never will die of themselves, but will last even when opportunities to gratify them are taken away. Let him that thinks he stands, take heed lest he fall. We see how weak we are of ourselves, without the grace of God; let us therefore live in constant dependence on that grace. Let us watch and be sober: ours is a dangerous warfare, and in an enemy’s country, while our worst foes are the traitors in our own hearts.
OBSERVATION!
How much more are we to take heed of our surroundings and the evil operating in it. Never more so, has it been more important to heed Ephesians 6:13
[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
COMMENTARY!
Spiritual strength and courage are needed for our spiritual warfare and suffering. Those who would prove themselves to have true grace must aim at all grace and put on the whole armor of God, which he prepares and bestows.
The Christian armour is made to be worn; and there is no putting off our armour till we have done our warfare, and finished our course.
This now brings forward a purpose to become more familiar with our Lord’s teachings. The depth of our Lord’s words, “It Is Written,” plainly become clearer now. The importance of using our discernment to fully understand the power of each of the Lord’s words revealed to us is now before us.
OBSERVATION!
The importance of knowing who our enemy is affords knowledge of how to prepare for battle. Ephesians 6:12
[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
So when we speak these three words, “It Is Written,” our knowledge of God’s word behind them will be formidable in our hearts and minds.
As it was in Yeshua’s, these are not just word’s they are a part of the makeup of our Two edged sword. Matthew 10:20 KJV
For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Man’s words are not enough we must discern spiritually what the following verses Matthew Henry was relating to.
COMMENTARY!
Ephesians 6:13-18
[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15]And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16]Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17]And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18]Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
CLOSING COMMENTARY!
The day spoken of in Ephesians 6:13 is deeply upon us. We were warned on July 23rd, 2019, evil never before seen will enter our world and lives. Like a lanced festering boil filled wit, once cut open, will pour out into our world and lives. Bringing sickness, lies, and all forms of temptations, never before seen or dealt with, causing confusion, despair, and hopelessness within the population of the world.

This has presented discerning believers the task of searching their hearts to measure the depth of their faith and personal relationship with Yeshua in order to prepare for our daily battle.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
