When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
OUR PRAYER!
Heavenly Father, in all meekness, I seek to be in your realm of compassion and forgiveness. Fill me with your discernment that I might know your words and truths. Take from me all seeds of self gratification, and replace them with an eagerness to serve in obedience as a humble servant. Thank you, Lord, for seeking me out and offering your love, compassion, and forgiveness that I might know you and your Father. Bless me with your courage, strength, and wisdom to know I have erred and need your hand to find the way to your peace. And all of God’s children said Amen and Amen.
COMMENTARY!
Repent means stop, pause, and look at what YOU have made important in your life. Will it be important to you in eternity, meaning to state I am sorry I spent my time seeking comfort instead of truth and knowledge of who I will be with or without in eternity. To repent means to acknowledge you erred and need forgiveness for your lack of a personal relationship with Yeshua. Repent means you are sorry for seeking comforts instead of understanding, which would bring you comfort. Repent means please forgive me for forsaking you, O’ Lord, and replacing you with material comfort instead of spiritual comfort. Repent means being humble and meek instead of arrogant and self defined. Repent means admitting you were wrong, plain and simple. Is that enough, or do you need more to put you on your knees before God and His Son to say I am sorry.
And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
