Who can have compassion on the ignorant and on them that are out of the way? For that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. (Hebrews 5:2)

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

Do we fully comprehend the depth of God’s mercies? When the Holy Spirit first presented this information, I did not realize the extent and how on a moment to moment basis our lives are affected by His mercies. I recognized without God’s compassion and patience (Mercies) the world we walk in could not exist. To fully understand this I went to “Merriam Webster’s Dictionary,” and found the following definitions which shed a deeper understanding of how I will now interpret God’s mercies. Once I started the research into the first word it became clear there would be further definitions which support each other, to check out and absorb, the first being  “Mercy”: kind or forgiving treatment of someone who could be treated harshly: kindness or help given to people who are in a very bad or desperate situation. Which lead me to define “Mercies”: compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one’s power; also lenient or compassionate treatment. This, in turn, leads to defining forbearance: The quality of someone who is patient and able to deal with a difficult person or situation without becoming angry. We are then lead to determine tolerance: Willingness to accept feeling, habits, or beliefs that are different from your own. 

This article will bring life to all the situations where God our Father in heaven and Yeshua His Son who sits on the right-hand side of the throne. Will exercise all the definitions described recognizing and accepting they (definitions) are all rolled into one phrase “God’s Mercies” and how that phrase applies to those in the world believer and nonbeliever. 

OPENING PRAYER by Robert 

Father in heaven we bow before your throne Lord in humility desiring to learn of your mercies. Raising hands in an exaltation of your Glory in those mercies. Fill us with discernment Lord so we might have the understanding of your mercies and the words to share with those ignorant of your mercies so they might become aware of them, Father. This we pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

The mercies of God to sinners are made known in a manner well suited to impress all who receive them, with his majesty and holiness. The people worshipped and praised God. When he manifests himself as a consuming Fire to sinners, his people can rejoice in him as their Light. No, they had reason to say, that God was right in this. It is of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, but the sacrifice in our stead, for which we should be very thankful. And whoever beholds with true faith, the Saviour agonizing and dying for man’s sin, will, by that view, find his godly sorrow enlarged, his hatred of sin increased, his soul made more watchful, and his life more holy. In the days of his flesh, Christ made himself subject to death: he hungered: he was a tempted, suffering, dying Yeshua. Christ set an example, not only to pray but to be fervent in prayer. How many dry prayers, how few wetted with tears, do we offer up to God! He was strengthened to support the immense weight of suffering laid upon him. There is no real deliverance from death but to be carried through it Psalm 23:4 “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me“. He was raised and exalted, and to him was given the power of saving all sinners to the uttermost, who come unto God through him. Yeshua left us an example that we should learn humble obedience to the will of God, by all our afflictions. We need distress, to teach us a submission. His compliance in our nature encourages our attempts to obey, and for us to expect support and comfort under all the temptations and sufferings to which we are exposed. Being made perfect for this great work, he has become the Author of eternal salvation to all that obey him. But are we of that number? Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) relates the depth of Gods Mercies. The word will direct and quicken prayer, for by it the Spirit helps our infirmities in prayer. The careful study of God’s word will more and more discover to us our own sinfulness and the plenteousness of his salvation; thus it calls us to mourn for sin and to rejoice in him. Every discovery of the truth of God should render us more unwearied in attendance on his sacred word, and on his worship. 

Those who chiefly care to make it cheap and easy to themselves, know not what religion is, and who are best pleased with which costs them least pains or money. For what have we our substance, but to honor God with it; and how can it be better bestowed? Yeshua is our Altar, our Sacrifice; in him alone we may expect to escape his wrath and to find favor with God. Death is destroying, in so many forms, and so suddenly, that it is madness not to expect and prepare for the close of life.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) in his commentary relates how to connect with God’s Mercies. “If we confess our sins, we may pray in faith that God would forgive them, and take away, by pardoning mercy, that sin which we cast away by sincere repentance. What we make the matter of our pride, it is just in God to take from us, or make bitter to us, and make it our punishment. This must be such a punishment as the people have a large share in, for though it was David’s sin that opened the sluice, the sins of the people all contributed to the flood. In this difficulty, David chose a judgment which came immediately from God, whose mercies he knew to be very significant, rather than from men, who would have triumphed in the miseries of Israel and have been thereby hardened in their idolatry. He chose the pestilence; he and his family would be as much exposed to it as the poorest Israelite; and he would continue for a shorter time under the Divine rebuke, however severe it was. The rapid destruction by the pestilence shows how easily God can bring down the proudest sinners, and how much we owe daily to the Divine patience. 

The Apostle Paul after proving various doctrines which are practically applied, entreated the Romans, as his brethren in Yeshua, by the mercies of God, to present their bodies as a living sacrifice to Him. This is a powerful appeal. We receive from the Lord every day the fruits of his mercy. Let us render ourselves; all we are, all we have, all we can do: and after all, what return is it for such very rich receivings? It is acceptable to God: a  reasonable service, which we are able and ready to give a reason for, and which we understand. Conversion and sanctification are the renewings of the mind; a change, not of the substance, but of the qualities of the soul. The progress of sanctification, dying to sin more and more, and living to righteousness more and more, is the carrying on this renewing work until it is perfected in glory. The great enemy to this renewal is conformity to this world. Take heed of forming plans for happiness, as though it lay in the things of this world, which soon pass away. Do not fall in with the customs of those who walk in the lusts of the flesh, and mind earthly things. The work of the Holy Ghost first begins in the understanding and is carried on to the will, affections, and conversation, till there is a change of the whole man into the likeness of God, in knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness. Thus, to be godly is to give up ourselves to God.

The professed love of Believers to each other should be sincere, free from deceit, and unmeaning and deceitful compliments. Depending on Divine grace, they must detest and dread all evil, and love and delight in whatever is kind and useful. We must not only do that which is good, but we must cleave to it. All our duty towards one another is summed up in one word, love. This denotes the love of parents to their children; which is more tender and natural than any other; unforced, unconstrained. And love to God and man, with zeal for the gospel, will make the wise Believer diligent in all his worldly business, and in gaining superior skill.

“Oh,” Father in heaven as we kneel before thy throne hear our sincere prayers of deep gratitude for all the mercies you are bestowing on our lives daily. Hear our heartfelt appreciation for your patience and in that patience blessing us with your grace and Salvation. As well affording us the opportunity to right our lives and develop a deep relationship with your Son Yeshua learning through the Holy Spirit how to draw closer to Him and you Father. We acknowledge Lord our continued work is required for our relationship to deepen and bring forward greater discernment and understanding of your heavenly blessings being offered through your continued Mercies. Thank you, Father, for all your tender mercies and Deep Love and compassion you show for us and the world. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen.

Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) in the following commentary sums it up best. “God is honored by our hope and trust in him, especially when we rejoice in that hope. He is served, not only by working for him but by sitting still quietly, when he calls us to suffer. Patience for God’s sake is true piety. Those that rejoice in hope are likely to be patient in tribulation. We should not be cold in the duty of prayer, nor soon weary of it. Not only must there be kindness to friends and brethren, but Believers must not harbor anger against enemies. It is but mock love, which rests in words of kindness, while our brethren need real supplies, and it is in our power to furnish them. Be ready to entertain those who do good: as there is occasion, we must welcome strangers. Bless, and curse not. It means thorough good will; not, bless them when at prayer, and curse them at other times; but bless them always, and curse not at all. True Believer love will make us take part in the sorrows and joys of each other. Labour as much as you can to agree in the same spiritual truths, and when you come short of that, yet agree in affection. Look upon worldly pomp and dignity with holy contempt. Do not mind it; be not in love with it. Be reconciled to the place God in his providence puts you in, whatever it be. Nothing is below us, but sin. We shall never find in our hearts to condescend to others, while we indulge conceit of ourselves; therefore that must be mortified.“

Remember these messages are warnings from our Father to a dedicated servant as His Watchman bringing forward His call to hear and see as the Trumpet is sounded for all to know danger and evil are in our presence to do harm. May our Lord bless all with discernment to recognize the wiles of the enemy as he presents his subtle temptations before us as fruit we shouldn’t partake.

Being shown the power of faith, it’s importance, the how and why we must learn to apply our faith as Yeshua did. What we are about to receive is going to have a profound effect on our lives, as we know and understand them in this world. This article is about to identify and dispell some deeply entrenched myths about the hereafter and our presence in it. We will be shown proof of eternal life and being in the presence of God and Yeshua in Eternity and how it is going to affect us and what our appearance will be.

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Guide us, Lord, that we may like the Samaritan woman know your compassion and strength. That we might through your gentleness fill our spirit with the knowledge of your presence as we continue our Journey. Give us the courage to face our enemies, strength to persuade, and demonstrate your love and peace in this world. Discernment to penetrate the darkness which shrouds the evil many are not aware of. We pray this in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen. 

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert 

“But as touching the resurrection of the dead have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac,  and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Matthew 22:31-32.  

The doctrines of Yeshua displeased the infidel Sadducees, as well as the Pharisees and Herodians. He carried the great truths of the resurrection and a future state, further than had yet been revealed. There is no arguing from the state of things in this world, as to what will take place hereafter. Let the truth be set in bright light, and it appears in full strength. Having thus silenced them, our Lord proceeded to show the reality of the doctrine of the resurrection from the books of Moses. God declared to Moses that he was the God of the patriarchs, who had died long before; this shows that they were then in a state of being, capable of enjoying his favor, and proves that the doctrine of the resurrection is explicitly taught in the Old Testament as well as in the New. But this doctrine was kept for a full revelation, after the resurrection of Christ, who was the first-fruits of them that slept. All errors arise from not knowing the Scriptures and the power of God. Matthew 22: 29 Yeshua answered and said unto them “Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.” In this world, death takes away one after another, and so ends all earthly hopes, joys, sorrows, and connections. How wretched are those who look for nothing better beyond the grave! 

Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) relates “we ought to draw nigh to God with a solemn pause and preparation, carefully avoiding everything that looks light and rude, and unbecoming his service. God does not say, I was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but I am. The patriarchs still live, so many years after their bodies have been in the grave. No length of time can separate the souls of the just from their Maker. By this, God instructed Moses as to another world and strengthened his belief of a future state. Thus it is interpreted by our Lord Yeshua, who, from hence, proves that the dead are raised, Luke 20:37. Moses hid his face, as if both ashamed and afraid to look upon God. The more we see of God, and his grace, and covenant love, the more cause we shall see to worship him with reverence and Godly fear.“

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) Those who sincerely desire to be taught their duty, Christ will guide in judgment, and show his way. He tells the scribe that the great commandment, which indeed includes all, is, that of loving God with all our hearts. Wherever this is the ruling principle in the soul, there is a disposition to every other duty. Loving God with all our heart will engage us to everything by which he will be pleased. The sacrifices only represented the atonements for men’s transgressions of the moral law; they were of no power except as they expressed repentance and faith in the promised Saviour, and as they led to moral obedience. And because we have not thus loved God and man, but the very reverse, therefore we have condemned sinners; we need repentance, and we need mercy. Christ approved what the scribe said, and encouraged him. He stood fair for further advance; for this knowledge of the law leads to a conviction of sin, to repentance, to a discovery of our need of mercy, and understanding the way of justification by Christ.

In every age, there have been men of corrupt minds, that have endeavored to subvert the fundamental principles of revealed religion. There are deists now, who call themselves free-thinkers but are false-thinkers, so there were Sadducees in Yeshua’s time, who bantered the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) continues to contribute to the truth. “The rending of the veil signified that Christ, by his death, opened a way to God. We have an open road through Christ to the throne of grace, or mercy-seat now, and to the throne of glory hereafter. When we duly consider Christ’s death, our hard and rocky hearts should be rent; the heart, and not the garments. That heart is harder than a rock that will not yield, that will not melt, where Yeshua is set forth crucified. The graves were opened, and many bodies of saints which slept arose. To whom they appeared, in what manner, and how they disappeared, we are not told; and we must not desire to be wise above what is written. The dreadful appearances of God in his providence, sometimes work strangely for the conviction and awakening of sinners. Being expressed in the terror which fell upon the centurion and the Roman soldiers. We may reflect with comfort on the abundant testimonies given to the character of Jesus; and, seeking to give no just cause of offense, we may leave it to the Lord to clear our characters, if we live to Him. Let us, with an eye of faith, behold Yeshua and him crucified, and be affected with that great love wherewith he loved us. But his friends could give no more than a look; they beheld him, but could not help him. Never were the horrid nature and effects of sin so tremendously displayed, as on that day when the beloved Son of the Father hung upon the cross, suffering for sin, the Just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. 

CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert 

As a human being, and an individual, who is genuinely in love with Yeshua and working very hard to remain on this very narrow path leading to Eternity, I believe in the preceding article we have been introduced to what truly lies ahead and what form we are going to arrive there in.

The one thing about humans I have learned throughout my “73 years,” journey, is we hate change in any form. We hate having to step out of our comfort zones created around our lifestyles. Especially ones we enter into without a great deal of foreknowledge or understanding of what might lie ahead. This fear of change is the most dangerous a human can experience within their scope of emotions. 

The kingdom of the Messiah was to be a “spiritual kingdom,” not temporal and external. The Pharisee’s asked when it would come. “You know not what you ask,” saith Yeshua “It may come and you not be aware of it.” For it will not have an external show, as other kingdoms have, the advancements and revolutions of which are taken notice of by the nations of the world. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates “It will have a silent entrance, without pomp, without noise it cometh not with observation, with outward show.” The Pharisee’s desired to have their curiosity satisfied concerning the time of it, to which Yeshua replied “It is not for you to know the times of this kingdom, these are secret things, which belong not to you but the great intentions of this kingdom, these are things revealed. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) continues; When Messiah the prince comes to set up his kingdom, they shall not say “Lo here, or Lo there,” as when a prince goes in progress to visit his territories it is in every-bodies mouth, he is here, or he is there for where the king is there is the court. Yeshua will not come with all this talk it will not be set up in this or that particular place. Nor will the court of that kingdom be here or there nor will it be here or there as in respect of the countrymen are of, or the place they dwell in, as if that would place them nearer to, or further from the kingdom. It has a “spiritual influence:” The kingdom of God is within you.” It is not of this world, (John 18:36). Its glory does not strike men’s fancies but affects their spirits, and its power is over their souls and consciences from them it receives homage, and not from their bodies only. The Kingdom of God will not change men’s outward condition, but their hearts and lives. The Kingdom of God is among you, so some read it. “You enquire when it will come and are not aware that it is already begun to be set up in the “midst of you.” The gospel is preached, it is confirmed by miracles, it is embraced by multitudes so that it is in your nation, though not in your hearts.” 

It is enough to refer ourselves to the compassion of Christ, for they fail not. We may look for God to meet us with mercy when we are found in the way of obedience. Only one of those who were healed returned to give thanks. It becomes us, like him, to be very humble in thanksgivings, as well as in prayers. Christ noticed the one who thus distinguished himself, he was a Samaritan. The others only got the outward cure, he alone got the spiritual blessing. 

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert

Father, in all your glory we seek your love compassion and guidance. Fill our hearts with your heavenly discernment, understanding, compassion, and teachings so we might use your light to reveal our path to Eternity. Take from us any, and all doubts and fears fill us with courage and undying faith. Reveal to us Lord an understanding and acceptance of our Spiritual being as a preview of our Eternal walk in your presence. Guide us Father to connect with you this I pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen, and Amen. 

Remember these articles are given as warnings from a humble servant as God’s Watchman bringing His signs to the flock of impending changes. I pray for all to be covered with Yeshua’s blessings. Be at peace and in faith as you journey forward doing God’s calling and work know this. “Nevertheless we, according to his promises, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.” 2Peter 3:13  “And sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.” Revelation 10:6

PREAMBLE by Robert 

Have you noticed how quickly time is passing, not sure if it is old age or time is just speeding up? This matters little when you consider what truly is occurring right before our eyes. We are being busy working and living while our societal moralities are declining. We see the luxuries of our times as beneficial. And, as individuals, they have brought us comfort and instant gratification. However, they, in turn, have taken us into another realm of morality, one which is void of actual human conversation, the togetherness of people who share a commonality, simply being able to reach out and touch a fellow human.

In my youth, while reading Scriptures I saw a prediction,  “mans consciences would be seared”, and, in the era, I read this I pondered how this could be possible? Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”. 1Timothy 4:1 As time progressed it was becoming clearer, how, through the use of convenient tools and the advancement of technology, as a communal society we’re drawing further apart and further from a sound moral base governing our lives.

“Oh,” sure once a week we gather in our churches to fellowship or meet at seminars or meetings and superficially greet and meet. In some cases, there are groups who truly communicate but, we speed along in life being conveniently satisfied with our personal accomplishments, enjoying the leisure and pleasures as the fruits of our time.

When I step back and observe today’s world, I see evil (witchcraft, sorcery, and wizardry) being accepted as a norm in our society. It has become nothing to falsely accuse, it has become nothing to murder (in many different forms), it has become nothing to subvert individuals, governments, or our agencies and Assemblies (Churches) which proclaim and or protect our standards of life and moralities. It has become nothing to riot (disguised as lawful gatherings), it has become nothing to set God’s moral Laws aside. When I first read our consciences would be seared I did not believe the things just described could be possible. However back then naivety on my part as well as others was prevalent.

What I see today is a belief you need not fear God, all you need today is to believe you are important in your own eyes. Your words can be of iniquity and deceitful. You can devise as much wickedness as possible and not worry about the evil you do as you believe it is not hateful. 

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

“Precious Father as our spiritual eyes are opened to the true condition of the world we live in and those who cross our path as we Spiritually journey through it. I Would ask Lord for your guidance, strength discernment and understanding to be a part of the leadership role being placed in the lives of those doing your bidding and work. Make those with your knowledge, warriors for the spreading of your Father’s compassion grace and forgiveness to all in this darkened world. This I pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen. 

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert  

We can see the root of bitterness, from which all the wickedness of the wicked comes. The contention is supposedly focused on the rulers of the nations. But under closer scrutiny you can see it is contempt of God, there is no fear of God. Those performing the acts of evil do not openly renounce God, their actions of transgression demonstrate it secretly, as they go on in their lives of convenience and leisure.

In their own conceit, they flatter themselves and continue in evil, believing they are wise and doing well for themselves. They cannot see or refuse to acknowledge the evil and danger of their wicked ways. They call evil good and good evil their licentiousness is portrayed as just liberty; their frauds pass for prudence and policy. Their persecution of God’s people is seen as a piece of necessary justice. Here is where we see the consciences being seared when their conscience threatens them for what they do. They believe “God will not require it if I shall have peace though I go on.”

As I look at our world today I see a righteous group within the darkness of evil following a path guided by a column of light demonstrating God’s love and compassion as a way out of the darkness. But I also see that group being persecuted. Because those whose consciences are seared are self-destroyers by being self-flatterers and desire to bring all into their delusion. These could not be deceived if they did not deceive themselves.

It is no wonder if those who deceive themselves contrive how to deceive all mankind for who will be true who are false to their own souls? Seared consciences demonstrate what little good was with them is gone, the sparks of virtue are extinguished, their convictions confused, their good beginnings come to nothing.

We see those who have left righteousness do so to be wise. Once gone from righteousness contrive to do hurt and to be vexatious to those who are around them which are good and doing good.

Those who seek to be wise slowly stop praying, and following God’s ordinances and their duty to Him. They become easily deluded and influenced towards evil and are slowly drawn into sin and trouble. Thus, we see the process of having your conscience seared as many have had done.

The decay within our world as we see it today has not just happened overnight, it has been a slow creeping process. We know it is terrible to make mischief, but it is worse to contrive to do it effectually, to do it with plot and management, with a subtlety. Once this doorway is entered we see that there is no good within it or at the end of it. Those who persist and resolve to persevere in that way set themselves to execute the mischief they have devised, and nothing shall sway them from achieving their goal. If we look into their faces we will see the obstinacy and impudence, they could not go on in their evil ways, in such direct opposition to all that is just and good.

These individuals who do evil, have no dislike at all of it in others, but on the contrary, take pleasure in it, and are glad to see others as bad as themselves. But these hardened sinners have such seared stupefied consciences that they never reflect upon their sins afterward with any regret or remorse, but stand to what they have done as if they could justify it before God himself.

So, what I see is a slow build up to accepting evil as good, the subtle verging away from the foundation of what is right. The reshaping of minds to believe what was once considered wrong is now being accepted as normal. For instance, we see rational creatures hating good and despising the laws which were given to keep peace and order within our societies throughout the world. Every sin has in it a hatred of God, but we see some sinners are avowed enemies to Him.

Keeping in line with this conversation, we see proud men, who are boasters and coping with God. They are disobedient to their parents and hold no affection for them. Unruly children will find themselves with unnatural parents. We see these children displaying Wickedness (doing evil for evil’s sake), being malicious, filled with envy, murder, despiteful, unmerciful committing heart-murder.

We recognize they are deceitful, whispers, backbiters, covenant-breakers. Liars and slanderers. Inventors of evil things, but without understanding and or knowledge to do good.

I am reminded every day to stop and look at the conditions the multitudes have accepted as being a normal life.  

“OUR WORLD”! There is a saying “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” When we look at our society today it is easy to recognize those who are pretenders to wisdom and professors of it have the most luxuriant fancy, in framing to themselves the idea of a God, have fallen into most gross and absurd conceits which brings a just punishment of their pride and conceitedness. As a profession of wisdom is an aggravation of folly, so a proud conceit of knowledge is the cause of a great deal of foolish contention without justification. The bottom line here is the image being portrayed as physical when in reality we are in the greatest Spiritual battle ever. What the public is witnessing is the greatest manifestation of evil to be displayed on earth at any one time.  

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert

Heavenly Father acknowledge our cries for peace to be with us bringing your wisdom and discernment. Loose unto us a strength beyond this world an intensity found in heaven, coupled with endurance to fend off the wiles of the enemy. Share a battle plan Father which will lead us to victory. Place a hedge of protection over and around us Lord so we might direct our light into this darkened world. Fill us with your words Father that our two-edged sword would be sharper than ever and cut away all the cords of deception and wickedness. We ask for your guidance of when to battle and when to be at readiness. This we pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.

What is Faith? Where do we find Faith? Why should I have Faith? Where will Faith take me? And the questions go on and on about Faith, about the importance of Faith being in our lives or the lack of it. In the King James Version, Faith appears 336 times; other versions vary, 458 times in the New International Bible, 389 in the New King James Bible version, 378 in the New American Standard Bible and 521 in the Good News Bible. What does all this mean to the discerning believer? In this article, we are being led into the thickest part of our walks. We will see answers to as many of the questions the Lord sees fit to answer through the Holy Spirit.

In the secular world, Faith is defined as follows: Faith can be described as trust or confidence in a person or something in religion, faith is the belief or trust in doctrines and ethics or a supreme being. Usually not based on proof Faith could also mean observance of obligation or fidelity to one’s promise or oath. 

In the Scriptures, I see those who walk with the Spirit of God bringing forth definitions of faith. One part of the secular definition Usually not based on proof is the best description needed to describe faith within a walk with Yeshua.

Heavenly Father we place all the heavenly gifts received daily from you Lord through our faith before your throne. Giving praise and thanks for having received them. We recognize the power of recognition without substance as the reward and definition you have Spiritually defined our FAITH as. We accept your acknowledgment of our trust without question, our devotion within your Love and healing of our souls through your compassion, and the growth of our understanding through your gift of discernment. We thank you, Father, for the ability to proceed through our lives in peace even when under attack or being tempted. Father, we give praise for all we have received through Spiritually filling us with FAITH. This we pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen and, Amen.

The Holy Spirit is leading us to the book of Jeremiah so we might reflect on the current condition of our world, our surroundings and those within it. What John Gill’s (1697 to 1771) commentary from the introduction of the Book of Jeremiah describes is why the destruction of the Jews occurred. And I believe eventually our world and those in it who are being identified and why. “It describes their sins, their idolatry, which was notorious, of which their own consciences, their altars, and their children were witnesses, (Jeremiah 17:1). For which they are threatened with the spoil of their substance and treasure, and discontinuance in their land, (Jeremiah 17:3). As also their confidence in an arm of flesh, which brought the curse of God on them, when such are blessed that trust in him, and the difference between those that trust in men and those that trust in the Lord is illustrated by very apt similies (Jeremiah 17:5). The source of which vain confidence is the wicked heart of man, known to none but God, (Jeremiah 17:9) and the vanity of it is exposed by a partridge sitting on eggs without hatching them, (Jerimiah 17:11). And their departure from God, by trusting in the creature, and in outward things, is aggravated by their temple being the throne and seat of the divine Majesty, by what God is to the people that trust him, and by the shame and ruin that follow apostasy from him, (Jeremiah 17:12).”

This description is like looking in the mirror and seeing today’s world being presented before us so we might visually see where it stands. The decay and rottenness the betrayals and dry condition of those within it. And more than anything why and how historically it is being repeated. But to understand why God is proclaiming to destroy this world as he declared he would destroy Jerusalem and its palaces which should be burnt to the ground if the warning was/is not heeded. John Gill (1697 to 1771) describes what God offered as a solution. “The prophet then follows an order to him from the Lord. To go and stand in the gate of the city, and exhort all ranks of men to the observation of the Sabbath, with directions on how to keep it. Which had not been observed by their fathers, and which was another cause of their ruin, (Jeremiah 17:19) and the chapter is closed with promises of blessings in city, court, and country, in church and state, should they religiously observe the Sabbath day. But if they profaned it, the city of Jerusalem and its palaces should be burnt with fire, (Jeremiah 17:24).

 Jeremiah carried quite a strong message to those in Jerusalem but what does it have to do with our Faith today. His commandment to the people was to religiously observe the Sabbath. Keyword in that message if you observe it closely is RELIGIOUSLY observed. In other words, stop paying lip service to God get serious about your walks or else. Something all need to remember God knows your heart intent don’t think you can fool Him, you can’t, God is not your carnal father. John Gill (1697 to 1771) describes through what the prophet Jeremiah did before receiving and delivering God’s message. “Wherefore the prophet sensible of his own backslidings prays’ to be healed and saved by the Lord, who should have all the praise and glory, (Jeremiah 17:14) and then relates the scoffs of the people at the word of God by him. Another cause of their ruin declares his own innocence and integrity; prays for protection and the security from fear in a time of trouble, and for confusion, terror and destruction to his persecutors, (Jeremiah 17:15).” 

The following is the real message Jeremiah brought to those within who would receive and observe the warning which John Gill (1697 to 1771) appropriately describes, in my opinion, is an appropriate spiritual definition of FAITH: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green. And shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”  (Jeremiah 17:7-8).” 

Each warning holds in-depth information of its effect on our lives and personal relationship with Yeshua and His Father Yehwah. A woman desperate for healing and in faith follows Yeshua and reaches out and touches his garment and is healed by her faith. Peter steps out of a boat and walks on water by his faith until he is overwhelmed by doubt and fear. Moses leads the Israelites to the edge of the Red Sea, trapping them for the oncoming Egyptians, through his faith the Red Sea is parted, and a way to escape the Egyptians is provided. A man being crucified next to Yeshua (Jesus) declares Yeshua’s innocence and by his unknown faith, becomes the first to receive Salvation through his belief in truth and fairness. I could go on and on citing the actions of worship. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) brings forward through his commentary a formula describing and defining FAITH but more importantly, in that definition what faith will make available: “There is the fullness of comfort in God, overflowing, ever-flowing fullness, like a fountain. It is always fresh and clear, like spring-water, while the pleasures of sin are puddle-waters. He prays to God for healing, saving mercy. He appeals to God concerning his faithful discharge of the office to which he was called. He humbly begs that God would own and protect him in the work to which he had plainly called him. Whatever wounds or diseases we find to be in our hearts and consciences, let us apply to the Lord to heal us, to save us, that our souls may praise his name. His hands can bind up the troubled conscience, and heal the broken heart; he can cure the worst diseases of our nature.“

Our question, Why do I need faith? I believe is answered in the book of Galatians 3:19 where Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) brings forward details of how to understand the “Why,” in Galatians 3:22 “But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Yeshua (Jesus) might be given to them that believe.” 

However, we must know how it is; we recognize we are sinners and an explanation of Why God called us to come back to walking in His laws. Many say the law has been done away with and now we walk under Salvation and Grace. I point out the Holy Spirit is leading us to Galatians 3:23 – 26 to find the truth of God’s calling us back.  The Apostle Paul explains why. “But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterward be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Yeshua (Jesus Christ).“ Now the following verses are the most important for all as they describe how we truly are through faith connected to Yeshua (Jesus). “For as, many of you as having been baptized into Yeshua (Jesus) have put on Yeshua (Jesus). There is neither Jew nor Greek; there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male or female: for ye are all one in Yeshua (Christ Jesus). And if ye be Yeshua’s (Jesus’s) then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” 

The covenant God made with Abraham, was not removed by giving the law to Moses. The covenant was made with Abraham and his Seed. It is still in force; Christ abideth for ever in his person, and his spiritual seed, who are his by faith. By this, we learn the difference between the promises of the law and those of the gospel. God’s promises of the law are made to the person of every man; the promises of the gospel are first made to Yeshua, then by him to those who are by faith ingrafted into Yeshua (Jesus). Rightly to divide the word of truth, a significant difference must be put between the promise and the law, as to the inward affections, and the whole practice of life. When the promise is mingled with the law, it is made nothing but the law. Let Yeshua be always before our eyes, as a positive argument for the defense of the faith, against dependence on human righteousness. 

Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) explains The law did not teach a living, saving knowledge; but, by its rites and ceremonies, especially by its sacrifices, it pointed to Yeshua, that they might be justified by faith. And thus it was, as the word properly signifies, a servant, to lead to Yeshua, as children are lead to school by servants who have the care of them, that they might be more fully taught by Him the exact way of justification and salvation, which is only by faith in Yeshua. And the vastly more significant advantage of the gospel state is shown, under which we enjoy a more explicit discovery of Divine grace and mercy than the Jews of old. Most men continue to shut up as in a dark dungeon, in love with their sins, being blinded and lulled asleep by Satan, through worldly pleasures, interests, and pursuits. But the awakened sinner discovers his dreadful condition. Then he feels that the mercy and grace of God form his only hope. And the terrors of the law are often used by the convincing Spirit, to show the sinner his need of Yeshua, to bring him to rely on his sufferings and merits, that he may be justified by faith. Then the law, by the teaching of the Holy Spirit, becomes his loved rule of duty, and his standard for daily self-examination. In this use of it, he learns to depend more directly on the Saviour. 

Here we address the question of why should I have faith the following pieces of information commented on by Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) show the action part of Faith within our lives and the importance of it being exercised faithfully and daily. “A Believer must consider himself undressed, if unarmed. The graces of the Spirit are this armor, to secure the soul from Satan’s temptations, and the assaults of this present evil world. Put on Yeshua; that includes all. Put on the righteousness of Yeshua, for justification. Put on the Spirit and grace of Yeshua, for sanctification. Yeshua must be put on as Lord to rule you as Christ to save you; and in both, as Yeshua anointed and appointed by the Father to this ruling, saving work. And how to walk. When we are up and ready, we are not to sit still, but to appear abroad; let us walk. Being a believer teaches us how to walk so as to please God, whoever sees us. Walk honestly as in the day; avoiding the works of darkness. Where there are riot and drunkenness, there usually are chambering and wantonness, and strife and envy. Solomon puts these all together, Proverbs 23:29-35. See what provision to make. Our great care must be to provide for our souls: but must we take no concern about our bodies? Yes; but two things are forbidden. Perplexing ourselves with anxious, encumbering care; and indulging ourselves in irregular desires. Natural wants are to be answered, but evil appetites must be checked and denied. To pursue meat for our necessities is our duty, we are taught to pray for daily bread, but to not be satisfied and ask for what we desire to satisfy our fleshly lusts, is provoking God, Psalm 78:18.

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert 

Is there an answer to all the questions about faith, yes, however only if we continue as shown to walk in the light, receive instructions from the Holy Spirit and grow in our personal relationship with Yeshua. We saw the results of Peter having great faith by walking on the water. Yeshua tells us we can move mountains or if our faith is the size of a mustard seed we can become a source of comforting, knowledge and security like the tree which springs from that seed. I see faith as the most significant and essential tool Yahweh has placed within our soul. What I am recognizing is not to question or wonder about faith, but to accept it is there operating in my life and walk as God has meant it to be. The few examples described here really only give us a reason not to doubt faith but embrace its presence in our walk to eternity. My conclusion for what it is worth FAITH as we know, recognize and relish genuinely is the Key to paradise and everlasting, eternal life. Without it, we end up on the broad path many are following in delusion not knowing God has provided them with a key to freedom and eternal peace joy and in a personal relationship and presence of Yeshua and His Father. “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Heavenly Father hear our praise for the gifts bestowed on your children. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with the most precious of all the gifts Faith which in our eyes is the key to a personal relationship with your son and our journey to everlasting life, peace, and your heavenly rewards. These articles like a puzzle bring together multiple bits and pieces of spiritual information, for all to use as assessments of where they stand in their personal relationship with our Father (God) and His Son (Yeshua). Interestingly enough as I have researched each article, I’m recognizing my life and walk are being affected as it should be. What I am researching now is showing me I have taken too much time concerning myself with the events occurring in this world both economically and politically. However, as our Lord put it in Matthew 6:27 and I know I am not alone in this, small stumble, because I have heard, “but it’s human, that you care about the things we are living with these days.” In answer, “Yeshua,” through the Holy Spirit gently pointed me to this: “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? V:27 “Very humbling!”

In this article, we will learn what Our Lord Yeshua meant by these words. We will be shown what our real walk with Him should be. But as well what lies ahead for those who do listen, learn, and walk in obedience to His teachings through the Holy Spirit. What lies ahead will assuredly bring disturbing information, but rightfully, needed to effect correction within our reasoning and our genuine commitment we recognize as Obedience. The Holy Spirit has some eye-opening soul-shaking lessons in store as we move forward in our walk on the narrow path.

Heavenly Father reveal to us, what we need to understand to be in your presence now and in eternity. We know Lord the unrighteous shall not be there, explain to us Father our position in your eyes. We know Lord we are not to be deceived or commit grievous acts fornication, idolatries, or abuse of ourselves in any manner or those within our world and lives, nor should we be drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners. Bring us your divine knowledge so we might fight these temptations. Strengthen us Lord so we might walk in your light and your name. Share with us Father a deep spirit of seeking wisdom to acknowledge being obedient to your calling us to follow your laws. We pray this in your name Yeshua, Amen and Amen.

There is scarcely any one sin against which our Lord Yeshua more largely and earnestly warned His disciples. Or against which he armed them with more variety of arguments than the sin of disquieting, distracting, and distrustful cares about the things of life, which are a bad sign, both the treasure and the heart are on worldly events.

We hear from John Gill (1697 – 1771) some pointed comments “Which of you by taking thought, As Yeshua argued before, from the unnecessariness of anxious thoughts and cares, about the provisions of life, so here, from the unprofitableness of them, it is impossible for a man, with all his care and thought, to add one cubit unto his stature. Or “to his age,” so the word is rendered (John 9:21) to the days of his life, he is so solicitous about.” Just a quick note here according to (Misn. Erubim, c 4. sect. 5. & Negaim, c. 13. sect. 11. Bartenora) The stature of an ordinary man is three cubits.  Taking into consideration this measure was first used in the 14th Century, it was based on the length of the forearm from the middle finger and usually equal to about 18 inches (46 Centimeters). [Merriam-Webster Dictionary].  

The sense of the word is this, that no man, by all the care and thought he could make use of, is ever able to add one cubit or the least measure to his days, he cannot lengthen out his life one year, one month, one day, one hour, no, not one moment. 

The commentary as mentioned earlier shows we should take no thought for our life. Not about the length of it; but refer it to God to lengthen or shorten as he pleases; recognize our times are in his hands, and in good hands they are. We should not fret about the comforts of this life, but leave it to God to make it bitter or sweet as he pleases.  

It is here where there is a form of separation of those who are awakened in the spirit and those who remain idle and indifferent. When the Lord declared “The Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand,” The Apostle Matthew reported; Yeshua went up into the mountain, “perhaps” for the purpose of   selecting His audience, The idle and indifferent would stay down on the plain, only those who were in some measure stirred in spirit would follow Him. As Yeshua climbed the steep ascent from the shore of the lake to the plateau above and in their minds they would in all probability be revolving around such questions as these: 1).”What is this kingdom, what advantages does it offer, and who are the people that belong to it? 2). What is required of those that belong to it? What are its laws and obligations?” And if these two questions were answered satisfactorily, a third would naturally follow. 3). “How may those who desire to share its privileges and assume its obligations become citizens of it?” These accordingly, are the three great questions dealt with in succession. 

In correlation with the three questions, we researched what Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) had to say about obedience and how it affects our walk and well being and fits within the first question:  Food and raiment God has promised. Therefore we may expect them. Take no thought for the morrow, for the time to come. Be not anxious for the future, how you shall live next year, or when you are old, or what you shall leave behind you. As we must not boast of tomorrow, so we must not care for tomorrow or the events of it. God has given us life and has given us the body. And what can he not do for us, who did that? If we take care of our souls and for eternity, which is more than the body and its life, we may leave it to God to provide for us food and clothing, which are less. Improve this as an encouragement to trust in God.

We must reconcile ourselves to our worldly condition, as we do to our stature. We cannot alter the disposals of Providence. Therefore we must submit and resign ourselves to them. Thoughtfulness for our souls is the best cure for the indulgence of worldly possessions. Seek first the kingdom of God, and make belief in Yeshua your business: say not this is the way to starve; no, it is the way to be well provided for, even in this world. The conclusion of the whole matter is, this is the will and command of our Lord Yeshua, by daily prayers, we will gain strength to lift us up under our daily travails and arm us against the temptations which accompany them, and then let none tempt us. Joyous are those who take the Lord for their God, and make the full witness of it through trusting themselves wholly to his wise disposal. Let your Spirit convince you of sin in the desire of this disposition, and remove the worldliness from your heart. I refer you back to the Article published September 13, 2018, “IS CONTENTMENT YOUR GAIN?” “Every sort of wickedness and vice, in one way or another, grows from the love of money.” 

Through his commentary Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) reveals what to be wary of: Our Lord next warned against hypocrisy and outward show in religious duties. What we do, must be done from an inward principle, that we may be approved of God, not that we may be praised by men. In these verses, we are cautioned against hypocrisy in giving alms. Take heed of it. It is a subtle sin; and vain-glory creeps into what we do, before we are aware. But the duty is not the less necessary and excellent for being abused by hypocrites to serve their pride. The doom Yeshua passes, at first, may seem a promise, but it is their reward; not the reward God promises to those who do good, but the reward hypocrites promise themselves, and a poor reward it is; they did it to be seen of men, and they are seen of men. When we take the least notice of our good deeds ourselves, God takes most notice of them. He will reward thee; not as a master who gives his servant what he earns, and no more, but as a Father who gives abundantly to his son that serves him.

It is taken for granted that all who are disciples of Christ pray. You may as soon find a living man that does not breathe, as a living Believer who does not pray. If prayerless, then graceless. The Scribes and Pharisees were guilty of two great faults in prayer, vain-glory, and vain repetitions. “Verily they have their reward;” if in so great a matter as is between God and us, when we are at prayer, we can look to so poor a thing as the praise of men, it is just that it should be all our reward.             

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates: “Yet there is not a secret, sudden breathing after God, but he observes it. It is called a reward, but it is of grace, not of debt; what merit can there be in begging? If he does not give his people what they ask, it is because he knows they do not need it, and that it is not for their good. So far is God from being wrought upon by the length or words of our prayers, that the most powerful intercessions are those which are made with groanings that cannot be uttered. Let us well study what is shown of the frame of mind in which our prayers should be offered, and learn daily from Christ how to pray.” 

Worldly-mindedness is a common and fatal symptom of hypocrisy, for by no sin can Satan have a surer and faster hold of the soul, under the cloak of a profession of religion. Something the soul will have, which it looks upon as the best thing; in which it has pleasure and confidence above other things. Christ counsels to make our best things the joys and glories of the other world, those things not seen which are eternal, and to place our happiness in them. There are treasures in heaven. It is our wisdom to give all diligence to make our title to eternal life sure through Yeshua, and to look on all things here below, as not worthy to be compared with it, and to be content with nothing short of it. It is happiness above and beyond the changes and chances of time, an inheritance incorruptible. The worldly man is wrong in his first principle; therefore all his reasonings and actions from that place must be faulty. It is equally to be applied to false religion; that which is deemed light is thick darkness. This is awful, but a typical case; we should therefore carefully examine our leading principles by the word of God, with earnest prayer for the teaching of his Spirit. A man may do some service to two masters, but he can devote himself to the service of no more than one. God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters oppose each other, no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it must despise God; he who loves God must give up the friendship of the world. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) encourages us to pray and states how we should approach it: Prayer is the appointed means for obtaining what we need. Pray; pray often; make a business of prayer, and be serious and earnest in it. Ask, as a beggar asks alms. Ask, as a traveler asks the way. Seek, as for a thing of value that we have lost; or as the merchantman that seeks goodly pearls. Knock, as he that desires to enter into the house knocks at the door. Sin has shut and barred the door against us; by prayer, we knock. Whatever you pray for, according to the promise, shall be given you, if God sees it fit for you, and what would you have more? This is made to apply to all that pray aright; every one that asketh receiveth, whether Jew or Gentile, young or old, rich or poor, high or low, master or servant, learned or unlearned, all are alike welcome to the throne of grace, if they come in faith. It is explained by a comparison taken from earthly parents, and their readiness to give their children what they ask. Parents are often foolishly fond, but God is all-wise; he knows what we need, what we desire, and what is fit for us. Let us never suppose our heavenly Father would bid us pray, and then refuse to hear, or give us what would be hurtful.

Nothing so much prevents men from entering the strait gate, and becoming true followers of Yeshua, as the carnal, soothing, flattering doctrines of those who oppose the truth. They may be known by the drift and effects of their theories. Some part of their temper and conduct is contrary to the mind of Christ. Those opinions come not from God that lead to sin.

CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert

I don’t think it could be any clearer what we are able to gain through true faith. What I am taking away from this research on a personal level is the following three things “ASK,” “SEEK,” “KNOCK.” Yeshua knocks at our door (Rev.3:20, Song of Solomon 5:2) and allows us to knock at His, which is a favor we do not allow common beggars. What I am seeing is seeking and knocking imply something more than asking and praying. We must not only ask but seek, we must second our prayers with our endeavors we must, in the use of the appointed means, seek for that which we ask for, else we tempt God. 

God gives knowledge and grace to those that search the scriptures, and wait at Wisdom’s gates and power against sin. We must not only ask but knock we must come to God’s door, must ask importunately not only pray but plead and wrestle with God we must seek diligently we must continue knocking must persevere in prayer, and in the use of means must endure to the end in the duty. The precept is threefold, ask, seek, knock there is precept upon precept, but the promise is sixfold, line upon line for our encouragement because a firm belief of the promise would make us cheerful and constant in our obedience.

Heavenly Father we are so thankful Lord for your promise to hear our prayer and answer according to your will. You told us Lord ask and you shall receive, you ask us to seek, and we shall find. We have sought you Lord and found you each time and give praise for you being there Father. You tell us to knock, and the door will be opened the door of mercy and grace thank you Lord for those gifts. We thank you, Father, for all things promised and received through faith. This we Pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen, and Amen. 

Remember these messages come from an obedient, “Watchmen” sounding the horn about an evil. We come to God as children to a Father in Heaven, with reverence and confidence. How naturally does a child in want or distress run to the Father with its complaints? Thus should the new nature send us to God for supports and supplies.

“The information offered in this article hopefully will bring discernment and change to the lives of those taking the time to read completely through.” You will be exposed to the Holy Spirit, who is going to reveal the true condition of our hearts. Matthew Henry (1663 – 1774) explains “No faith is justifying which is not powerful in sanctifying the heart and regulating all its affections by the love of Yeshua. We must devote and give up to God our souls and our bodies!” We will find for true faith to abide by what Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) stated we must “devote and give up to God our souls and bodies.” It will be shown there is no excuse for unbelief. We are going to recognize Yeshua being introduced in a completely different perspective. We will learn justification by faith in Yeshua is a plain doctrine. This article is filled with a large number of facts we may not have realized or may have forgotten over time and will be stimulated to recall and reactivate them.

Receive, Heavenly Father our pleas, as we humbly bow before your throne, as obedient servants. We ask Lord for you to measure our hearts reveal those areas needing your attention through the Holy Spirit. Fill us with your words, hone and shape us into the men and women you desire. Strengthen us within your will bring us to a more profound discernment and understanding of who and what we are in your eyes. Bring unto us Lord the deepest secrets of heaven to draw us closer to Yeshua. Polish us, Father, so we may shine bright and far into the darkness of the world for all to see and know we are of your Spiritual Army bringing truth and peace to those lost and ensnared. OPENING STATEMENT by Robert 

“ But godliness with contentment is a great gain.” 1Timothy 6:6.

Some contend being a believer an advantageous profession for this world. In a sense they mean this is a false, yet it is undoubtedly true that though Christianity is the worst profession, it is the best calling in the world. Those who make a trade of it, merely to serve this world, will be disappointed, and find it a sorry deal. But those who mind it as their calling, and make a purposeful activity of it, will find it a gainful calling. For it has the promise of the life which is now, as well as of that which is to come.

We hear how the Evangelist Timothy explains what excellency of contentment appears to him, the truth he lays down is “Godliness with contentment is a great gain.”  

There are some who believe Timothy meant “godliness with a competency.” Meaning, if a man has but a little in this world, yet, if he has but enough to carry him through. He needs not to desire more, his godliness with that will be his great gain. For a little which a righteous man has is better than the riches of many (Psalm 37:16). Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) explains how he sees what Timothy was expressing about godliness with contentment. “ Godliness is itself great gain, it is profitable to all things. And wherever there is true godliness, there will be contentment. But those have arrived at the highest pitch of contentment with their godliness are certainly the easiest happiest people in this world. Godliness with contentment, which is, a believers contentment (content must come from the principles of godliness) is a great gain. It is all the wealth in the world. He that is godly is sure to be happy in another world. And if withal he does by contentment accommodate himself to his condition in this world he has enough.” 

We find those who are proud, know the least; for they do not know themselves. Hence comes envy, strife, railings, evil-surmisings, disputes that are all subtlety, and of no solidity, between men of corrupt and carnal minds, ignorant of the truth and its sanctifying power, and seeking their worldly advantage.

Whereas the believers gain is godliness with contentment, this is the exact way to gain. The believers gain is excellent, it is not like the small gain of lust, which is the fondness of those desiring worldly advantage. Godliness is always accompanied by contentment in a significant or less degree. All genuinely godly people have learned with Paul, in whatever state they are, to be content (Philemon 4:11). Believers are content with what God allows for them, knowing that this is best for them. We should all be striving after godliness with contentment. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) details the pitfall Timothy the Evangelist should be pointing out to the people of Ephesus. It is not said, they that are rich, but they will be rich; who place their happiness in wealth, and are eager and determined in the pursuit. Those that are such, give Satan the opportunity of tempting them, leading them to use dishonest means, and other immoral practices, to add to their gains. Also, leading into so many employments, and such a hurry of business, as to leave no time or inclination for spiritual religion; leading to connections that draw into sin and folly. What crimes will not men be drawn into by the love of money! People may have money, and yet not love it; but if they love it, this will push them on to all evil. Every sort of wickedness and vice, in one way or another, grows from the love of money. We cannot look around without perceiving many proofs of this, especially in a day of outward prosperity, significant expenses, and loose profession. 

The Holy Spirit lead me to the writings of the Apostle Paul in 1Timothy where he addresses the subject of avarice which had to be on his mind while writing the last portion of this Epistle. He charged Timothy to warn against the folly and wickedness of selfish hoarding. He councils Timothy on the right way of laying up treasure. He points out it is such a common heresy, and such a fatal one, to believe gold is wealth, and that wealth is the chief good.

Paul goes on to describe the “dissidence of dissent,” as he knew it through grievous experience. There were men, who had once been in possession of a sound mind, whereby to recognize and grasp the truth. And they had grasped the truth, and for a time retained it. But they had “given heed to seducing spirits,” and had allowed themselves to be robbed of both these treasures, not only the truth but the mental power of appreciating the truth. And what had they in the place of what they had lost? Incessant, contentions among themselves. Having lost the truth, they had no longer any center of an agreement. The error is manifold, and its paths are labyrinthine. When two minds desert the truth there is no reason why they should remain in harmony anymore. And each has a right to believe that his own substitute for the truth is the only one worth considering. As proof that their soundness of mind is gone, and that they are far away from the truth. Paul states the fact that they suppose godliness is a way of gain. 

Believers should not suppose religious knowledge or those who follow Yeshua’s teachings, have privileges giving them any rights, or to disobey lawful commands! Paul continued to clarify his position to Timothy: ” What kind of people are they who would “suppose that gain was godliness?” He points out people have devoted their whole souls to gain, and have worshipped it as if it were Divine. But no man ever yet believed or acted as if he believed, that gain was godliness. To make money getting a substitute for religion, in allowing it to become the one absorbing occupation of mind and body, is one thing, to believe it to be a religion is quite another. Paul continues to point out how these men have fallen: The opinions of these perverted men is exactly the converse of this, not that they supposed “gain to be godliness,” but that they supposed “godliness to be a means of gain.” They considered godliness, or rather the “form of godliness,” which was all they really possessed, to be a profitable investment. Being a part of the Assembly to them was a “profession” in the mercantile sense and a profession that paid. And they embarked upon it, just as they would upon any other speculation which offered equally good hopes of being remunerative.   

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) brings forward the caution which needs to be expressed to those with wealth. “It, ill becomes any men, but especially men of God, to set their hearts upon the things of this world; men of God should be taken up with the things of God. There must be a conflict with corruption, and temptations, and the powers of darkness. Eternal life is the crown proposed for our encouragement. We are called to lay hold thereon. To the rich must especially be pointed out their dangers and duties, as to the proper use of wealth. But who can give such a charge, that is not himself above the love of things that wealth can buy? The appearing of Christ is certain, but it is not for us to know the time. Mortal eyes cannot bear the brightness of the Divine glory. None can approach him except as he is made known unto sinners in and by Christ. The Godhead is here adored without distinction of Persons, as all these things are properly spoken, whether of the Father, the Son, or the Holy Ghost. God is revealed to us, only in and through the human nature of Christ, as the only begotten Son of the Father.“

We have been shown that “godliness is profitable for all things.” It makes a person a better supervisor of men, a better servant to God and His followers, a better citizen, and both in mind and body a healthier and therefore a stronger person. Above all, it makes individuals happier people, because it gives them the foundation of all happiness in this life. And a foretaste of the joy in the world to come, a good conscience. A possession of such value as this cannot be otherwise than great gain, especially if it be united, with contentment. It is the nature of the godly individual to be content with what God has given them.

However, godliness and contentment are not identical, and therefore, to make it quite clear Paul states not merely “godliness.” but “godliness with contentment.”

We must measure in our hearts and mind, what form of wealth is vital to each of us as individuals. Some will find a man is well off when he has as much as he wants, that man in his heart and mind is rich who has more than he wants. What I believe we have been shown is “Wealth cannot be measured by any absolute standard.” We cannot name an income to rise above which is riches and to fall below which is poverty. When all legitimate claims have been discharged, are we satisfied with what remains for our use? Are we Contented? If we are, then we indeed are well to do. If we are not, then the chief element of wealth is still lacking. I opened this article in the pre-amble section stating we would be measured from head to toe and most likely found lacking because we have forgotten or possibly set aside some truths about ourselves. I pray they have been exposed and accepted to be corrected.

Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing this spiritual mirror forward so we might all have a look at our image which we present to you daily. Thank you, Father, for placing the spirit of discernment and understanding into our soul, that we might be strong to witness those areas in our lives which are lacking. We pray for your strength to be humble and receiving so we might make the corrections needed. Blessings and greetings to all, in the link below, I am introducing an important article just released August 31, 2018, “A SPIRITUAL CALL TO ARMS” which I believe is better understood when combined with this articles information. When I first saw the aforementioned scripture, I was excited and thought what a weapon we have in God’s word, if used accurately it reaches right to who this individual is in the spirit. I believed it to be an effectual weapon when praying in Spiritual Warfare, and it was. We stood on this verse as the basis of reaching to the very spirit of the individual as well the evil vexing them.

However, I did not comprehend to what depth and to where these words were leading us. This article, will bring forward and reveal what that power is and the real purpose behind those words. We will find the soul which has long been proud, to be humble and a perverse spirit, to be meek and obedient. Sinful habits which have become natural to the soul, and rooted deeply are separated and cut off by this sword. God’s words will reveal to men their thoughts and purposes, the vileness of many, the evil principles they are moved by, the sinful ends they act to. These words will show the sinner all which is in his heart. Let us hold fast to the doctrines of the Assemblies and the believers’ faith, its enlivening principles in our hearts, the open profession of it in our lips, and be subject to it in our lives. 

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Heavenly Father, as we bow before your throne and lay our petitions before you, we ask you to hear our prayers. As our days become more treacherous and dangerous, we pray Lord for your guidance. We recognize Father those who desire to harm or prevent us from doing your work, they do not accept you or your compassion, forgiveness, or love. We give praise Lord for the protection you place us under and acknowledge You alone are our helper and uphold our souls. We know Father you will reward evil unto our enemies cutting them off in your truth. We know Father it is You who will deliver us from all sin. This we give thanks for in the name of your Son, Yeshua, Amen, and Amen. 

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert 

Gods’, words make a soul which has long been proud, humble; and a perverse spirit,  meek and obedient. We can tell how men look, but God understands what they are. He judges men by the heart. We often form a mistaken judgment of characters; but the Lord values only the faith, fear, and love, which are planted in the heart, beyond human discernment. And God does not favor our children according to our fond partiality, but often most honors and blesses those who have been least regarded. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) through commentary sheds additional light. We should be aware of our own infirmities, and think humbly of ourselves, even when men reproach us. The work of the ministry is a spiritual warfare with spiritual enemies, and for spiritual purposes. Outward force is not the method of the gospel, but strong persuasions, by the power of truth and the meekness of wisdom. Conscience is accountable to God only; and people must be persuaded to God and their duty, not driven by force. Thus the weapons of our warfare are mighty; the evidence of truth is convincing. What opposition is made to the gospel, by the powers of sin and Satan in the hearts of men! But observe the conquest the word of God gains. The appointed means, however feeble they appear to some, will be mighty through God. And the preaching of the cross, by men of faith and prayer, has always been fatal to idolatry, impiety, and wickedness.

Research in Luke 21:34 – 36 Yeshua left us a specific warning of what was to come about and what we needed to be cautious about and spiritually prepared to fight as a good battle. “v34. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life. And so that day come upon you unawares. v35. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. v36. Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Isaiah 14:12 identifies the enemy who would draw us from the truth: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Who will attempt to cause many to stumble?

Then in Rev. 3:10 -13 we are shown what reward will be brought forward for those who are obedient. “Because thou hast kept the word of patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. v11. Behold I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. v12. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God. And he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. v13. He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. 

Now recognizing our battle is within the spiritual realm and God is not only gathering His army together but bringing forward crucial information which reveals how the enemy has permeated the Assembly. How Satan has brought about delusion within the ranks. Jessie Penn Lewis (1861 – 1927)  in her Book “War on the Saints” unabridged edition, first published in 1973, in Chapter three page 46 relates the following: “Some of the members of Christ are yet in the stage of babyhood, and others do not even know the initial reception of the Holy Spirit. To such this book has not much to say, as they are among the weaker ones who need the “milk of the Word.” But there are others, which may be described as the advanced guard of the Church of Christ. Who have been baptized with the Holy Ghost, or who are seeking that Baptism; honest and earnest believers. Who sigh and cry over the powerlessness of the true Church of Christ. And who grieve that her witness is so ineffective; that Spiritism and Christian Science, and other “isms,” are sweeping thousands into their deceptive errors, little thinking, that, as they go forward into the spiritual realm, the deceiver, who has misled others, has particular wiles prepared for them, so that he might render ineffective their aggressive power against him. These are the ones who are in danger of the special deception of the counterfeit “Christs,” and false prophets. And the dazzling lure of “signs and wonders,” and “fire out of heaven,” planned to meet their longing for the mighty interposition of God in the darkness settling upon the earth, but who do not recognize that such workings of the spirits of evil are possible, and so are unprepared to meet them. Remember these words were written in the latter part of the 1800’s, and take on a prophetic meaning today, as we see the condition of the modern day churches being described here.

These are the ones, also, who are recklessly ready to follow the Lord at any cost, and yet do not realize their unpreparedness for the contest with the spiritual powers of the unseen world, as they press on into fuller spiritual things. Believers who are full of mental conceptions wrought into them in earlier years, which hinder the Spirit of God from preparing them for all they will meet as they press on to their coveted goal. Conceptions which also impede others from giving them, out of Scriptures, much they need to know of the spiritual world into which they are so blindly advancing. Conceptions which lull them into false security, and give ground for, and even bring about, that very deception which enables Satan to find them easy prey. Ms. Penn-Lewis in the following statement is definitely identifying the downfall of our modern day Churches. “One prevailing idea, which such believers have deeply embedded in their minds, is that “honest seekers after God” will not be allowed to be deceived. That this is one of Satan’s lies, to lure such seekers into a false position of safety, is proved by the history of the Church during the past two thousand years, for every “wile of error” which has borne bitter fruit throughout this period. The errors among groups of such believers, some well known to the present generation, all began among “honest” children of God. BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY GHOST; and all so sure that, knowing the side-tracking of others before them, they would never be caught by the wiles of Satan. 

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert 

In the past four years, the Lord through the Holy Spirit has shown, how over time a deep shadow of evil has encompassed the world. How deceptions have drawn many into the darkness and away from our Lord and the path to Eternal Life and Peace. There is no effort for preparation of believers to recognize the realm of Spiritual Warfare. The following video shows how deep our society has fallen away from truth and the guidance of Yeshua. James 3:14 – 16 (v14.) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. (v15.) This wisdom descendeth not from above but is earthly, sensual, devilish. v16. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

In closing, I am quoting Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) ” A soul under Satan’s power, and led captive by him, is blind in the things of God, and dumb at the throne of grace; sees nothing, and says nothing to the purpose. Satan blinds the eyes by unbelief and seals up the lips from prayer. The more people magnified Yeshua (Jesus), the more desirous the Pharisees were to vilify him. Today the Pharisees, in my opinion, should be identified as the ANTIFA the real enemy of truth (the followers of Yeshua) and the Republic of the USA.

To further bring home what our society has fallen into and the how and why. Is best described by the Apostle Peter in 2Peter 2:1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privately shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words (o. logos) make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not. 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment. 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly. 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly. 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked. 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds). 2:9 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Arrogant are they, self – willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 2:11 Whereas angels, which are higher in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the daytime. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceits while they feast with you. 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children. 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the direction of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness. 2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever. 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 

Now we know what is being revealed through the disguise of hating President Trump, the enemy (through multiple minions) is attacking the foundation of the nation as well those who worship God or Yeshua [in Judaism, or Christianity] which brings stability to the country and its people. We are witnessing evil personified and if it continues to be unrecognized as a spiritual movement, the Assemblies of God and Yeshua, along with those who are believers and followers of the truth in all sects, will suffer catastrophically in the near future. 

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert

Our closing prayer is taken from Psalms 1:1-6 Heavenly Father we know: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; in his law doth he meditates day and night. And shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so. But are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.  Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous. But the way of the ungodly shall perish. We thank thee, Lord. for all, you have blessed us with. This we pray and accept in the name of Yeshua. Amen and Amen.  

Remember I am a humble servant walking as a Watchman delivering the messages I receive through the Holy Spirit as warnings of what is to come. Ezekiel 3:18 -21.

I pray everyone hears the Trumpet and the call from God and heeds. Know God’s wisdom is going to be with all. John 7:24 Yeshua said, “Judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgment. Always remember you fall under this protection in Psalms 91: v1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. v4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. v7. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. ” May the Lord bless you, keep you and uplift you in the days to come.” Please forward this to all who walk in the light so they might join in the good fight. This Call To Arms is specifically to those in the United States of America, however as well to those around the world, who believe in and worship our Lord and Saviour Yeshua (Jesus). It matters not under what secular name you worship; however, it does matter you hear this message and move into action all our futures depend on it. You are witnessing full-blown demonic warfare being fostered on President Donald Trump, and his administration, who are attempting to expose the depth of wickedness, functioning in the different government agencies and country, and to what height & depth it extends too.

Heavenly Father, we pray as humble servants you will hear this prayer and strengthen all who may be a part of this Call to Arms. We ask for your wisdom, discernment, and guidance to rain upon us as a nurturing and uplifting shower. Prepare our spirits to know how to enter into “Spiritual Warfare”. To stand against those “Demoniacs” which are attacking a brave man and his associates who are defending their country and way of life. We pray Lord that you will guide us and strengthen those walking in your word and name. Show us where and how we need to enter into battle to defeat the forces of evil being used to embattle our brothers and sisters. This we pray in the name of Yeshua (Jesus). Amen and Amen.

No matter what you might believe about President Trump, we must set aside our carnal feelings and beliefs as Spiritual Warriors. The battle being waged is greater than the man and the consequences far greater for all believers within the Assembly of God. The enemy is disguising their attack on the Assembly by focusing their attack on the President of the USA. In order

This call is to take up Spiritual Arms and through prayer, build a wall of divine protection around President Trump and his administration, to thwart and defeat the enemy, who has manifested and is working via many physical minions. They are attempting to influence the general public to demean and judge this man, for alleged past indiscretions? As followers of Yeshua (Jesus) our Lord, it is our responsibility to take up Spiritual Arms and stand against the minions of evil and those using them. 1John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Through this scripture, I believe it becomes clear as followers of Yeshua we are not to fall into using the spirit of the world, to discern matters of the Spirit. But to use the Spirit which is of God to recognize our duty as followers of Yeshua’s teachings we need to stand against and know whatever form of Evil we are facing as an army. We are told in 1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

I am making this Call to Arms of those in God and following Yeshua because I have been shown the workings of manifested evil is flourishing and using those involved in the current political events. If unchecked, “Evil’s” influence is going to reshape the course of history and bring about events which will put North American citizens of the USA and Canada into a cataclysmic future.

This Spiritual Army will need to set aside all worldly opinions of those involved and recognize who is in control on a Spiritual level; this is where the battle is, and Yeshua (Jesus) calls us to use. Luke 6:27 & 28  But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, v28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. We have been shown,“Those who seek revenge, are conquered, and those who choose to forgive are the conquerors.”

In this Call To Arms, there will be those who want to or have in their hearts judged President Trump for past indiscretions. As it has been revealed the Assembly of believers, as we know them,  is under attack by powerful minions and as well are attacking Mr. Trump. As I stated earlier if we as followers of Yeshua do not take a stand against the present Evil, our way of life and ability to worship will fall before us. Ephesians 4:31 & 32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice: v 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. We are reminded, “Those who seek revenge, are conquered, and those who choose to forgive are the conquerors.”

This Call To Arms is for all believers in God to come together as a unified army in prayer and action. Our first action as a unified Army in prayer will be to build a hedge of protection around President Trump so he may go forward exposing to what depth this Evil has permeated the political scene in the USA. The second action of our prayers will be to have all the Spirits of pride and arrogance removed from President Trump’s mind, which are causing confusion, allowing the President to function intelligently, which we all know he is quite capable of doing.  The third action will be as a unified army praying that Mr. Trump will be filled with God’s wisdom and discernment, to see what must be done in God’s name to defeat the evil operating before us. 1Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

This army of Believers must stand united to defeat evil in its tracks and pray all evil attacking the mind causing confusion and mayhem of President Trump’s thought process, be bound and removed. The Army must realize it has the most powerful ally at its disposal and truth if prayed for, will conquer all. Romans 15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. v2: Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification.

Brothers and sisters, the very foundation to worship is being attacked, and I do not hear, anybody lifting themselves up to protect our belief system, or our ability to worship in freedom without persecution. If you honestly believe, as a believer in Yeshua, this midterm election is about Donald Trump leading a great nation, you are completely missing what is happening, right before your eyes. Your freedoms are on the verge of being stripped from you, by a political machine willing to use whatever evil means possible to bring you into submission under their control. Psalms 1:1 & 2 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of scornful.  v2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; in his law doth, he meditate day and night.

Brothers and Sisters, I reside in Canada and am observing you as Believers being diverted from the very truth of what is transpiring. Presently, Evil is in control using mayhem to create confusion among the Assemblies, and masses to distract them from the real issues of how high up and how deep the evil has permeated your political system. And if not checked we all [Globally] will pay a severe price. James 3:16 For where envying and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work. 

I appeal to all followers of Yeshua, it matters not what sect you worship under; it does matter that you hear this plea as a Call To Arms to fight the good fight and come together and defeat evil in its tracks. Your ability to continue worshipping as you do is what is at stake. 1Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua (Jesus), that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

The truth be known I have been shown it will be the Believers answering this Call To Arms who will determine the outcome of this mid-term election and the fate of our ability to worship freely. If we fail to rally around President Trump to defeat Evil and give him the opportunity to present his case truly then evil has had its way. Ephesians 6:6 Not with eye-service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Yeshua (Christ), doing the will of God from the heart;

In closing what I see here is our belief, in God and Yeshua, being put on the line. If we walk with Yeshua, there will be no hesitation to pick up our Arms and fight the good fight. Let us bring together the strongest army ever assembled in history to fight this battle and bring evil to its knees and complete submission to God’s Laws. Realize this is not just about the USA it is a global battle. There is far more at stake than what is shown presently, Brothers and Sisters do not take this battle for granted we need every prayer warrior available to be front and center and fervently praying. Proverbs 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.  

We need to begin gathering and putting our prayers as a unified Army out there immediately. Once you’re within the ranks, send this call to all your brothers and sisters.  “LET’S MAKE THIS CALL TO ARMS ” powerful. Romans 1;16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Heavenly Father we know you hear our prayers as we come together as an army of truth and place our prayers before your throne we ask for strengthening and guidance through the Holy Spirit. Arm us with your truth and discernment to act as required to fight as needed.  We pray this in your name Yeshua (Jesus). AMEN AND AMEN.  Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. 

Remember these messages come from an obedient, “Watchmen” sounding the horn about an evil which is about to occur. Let us reveal to the enemy his shortcomings as shown in Colossians 3:8-9 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. v9. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.

I am opening with a quote from the Sept. 24, 2017 article ” WHO WILL THREAD THE NEEDLE.” In the article, Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 – 1927) adds to our weapons and plan of attack remember Peter talked about all the different levels of faith being demonstrated. Ms. Penn Lewis draws our attention to use our free will and faith combination. She states the following on pg 211 – 212 in her book the ninth edition published 1973, “WAR ON THE SAINTS.” “In the hour of his regeneration, God gives a man the absolute liberty of will to rule over himself, as he walks in fellowship with God. And by this restoration of a will free to act in choosing for God, SATAN LOSES HIS POWER. Satan is the god of this world, and he rules the world through the will of men enslaved by him. Enslaved not only directly, but indirectly, by inciting men to enslave one another, and to covet the power of “influence,” whereas they should work with God to restore to every man the freedom of his own personal volition, and the power of choice to do right because it is right, obtained for them at Calvary.“

What are we to look for? What is it we are being shown in this parable? We know following the world leads to destruction so what is it Yeshua is attempting to reveal with this parable? We really need to prepare for our acceptance of the answers which are about to be revealed.

I hear the horns in heaven heralding your greatness heavenly Father, sounding out your Holy reverence. Music not of the world but of heaven so majestic it is beyond the human mind, soothing, uplifting and identifying your diety. Lord, we humble ourselves before your throne prostrating before you Father desiring to have you search our hearts, Lord. So we might know our actual position within our personal relationship with you Yeshua. We plead for you to measure our dedication, devotion, and loyalty. If you find it short Father reveal those areas we need to strengthen to continue in your service. This we pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.

When I read the scripture in Matthew 19: 20 – 22 I pondered and wondered what was going through the mind and heart of that young man. Here stood before him the one who held the answer to the question “What lack I yet? ” My question, are those possessions so vital to you? You have just been offered a path to eternal life!

Jessie Penn-Lewis (1861-1927) possibly explains what might have been in this young man’s mind at the time. “Satan is the god of this world. And he rules the world through the will of men enslaved by, him. Enslaved not only directly, but indirectly, by inciting men to enslave one another, and to covet the power of “influence,” 

Matthew Henry (1662- 1774) relates the possible position this young man may have possessed in this world at the time.“All Satan’s promises are deceitful; and if he is permitted to have any influence in disposing of the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them, he uses them as baits to ensnare men to destruction. We should reject at once and with abhorrence, every opportunity of sinful gain or advancement, as a price offered for our souls; we should seek riches, honors, and happiness in the worship and service of God only.” 

The Holy Spirit brought me two things first from Deuteronomy 23:20 Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury, but unto thy brother, thou shalt not lend upon usury. That the Lord thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 

The second was the interpretation of this parable is to be discerned by those walking in the spirit to see what Yeshua was speaking about in the parable. 

Some reading this article will react in the same manner as the young man, with disappointment in their hearts because they will hear the subtle musings from Satan, “You worked hard for those things, why give it to the poor, they didn’t earn it, and besides what do you know of this man’s offerings?” 

How many are there in our assemblies, who do not sit under the word, but sit by! It is to them as a tale that is told, not as a message that is sent to them. Observe the duties taught and recommended to us by the history of the person with paralysis. In applying to Yeshua, we must be very pressing and urgent; that is an evidence of faith and is very pleasing to Yeshua, and prevailing with him. In prayer, we would humbly ask, “Give us, Lord, the same kind of faith concerning thy ability and willingness to heal our souls. Give us to desire the pardon of sin more than any earthly blessing, or life itself. Enable us to believe thy power to forgive sins; then will our souls cheerfully arise and go where thou please.” Amen.

Matthew Henry (1662- 1774) Points out the following. “We must all, like Peter, own ourselves to be sinful men. Therefore Yeshua might justly depart from us. But we must beseech him that he would not depart; for woe unto us if the Saviour depart from sinners! Rather let us entreat him to come and dwell in our hearts by faith, that he may transform and cleanse them. These fishermen forsook all and followed Yeshua when their calling prospered. When riches increase, and we are tempted to set our hearts upon them, then to quit them for Yeshua is thankworthy.“

“ Yeshua was neither ashamed nor afraid to own the purposes of his grace. He healed the poor man, though he knew his enemies would take advantage against him for it. Let us not be drawn either from our duty or from our usefulness by any opposition. We may well be amazed, that the sons of men should be so wicked.”

In this parable, the Master is Yeshua, who is the absolute Owner and proprietor of all persons and things. And in a unique manner of his assembly into his hands all elements are delivered. The servants are Believers, his own servants, so they are called born in his house, bought with his money, devoted to his praise, and employed in his work. Matthew 25:33 – 34 “And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. v34: Then shall the King say unto them on his right side, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. The day of account comes at last. We must all be reckoned with what good we have done to our own souls, and have done to others, by the advantages we have enjoyed. It is not meant that the improving of natural powers can entitle a man to Divine grace. It is the real Believer’s liberty and privilege to be employed as his Redeemer’s servant, in promoting his glory, and the good of his people: the love of Yeshua constrains him to live no longer to himself, but to Him, that died for him, and rose again. 

Matthew Henry (1662- 1774) discerns the parable even further so we might understand what Yeshua was asking of the young man and today’s “Modern Day Disciples” and Believers.  A description of the last judgment. It is as an explanation of the former parables. There is a judgment to come, in which every man shall be sentenced to a state of everlasting happiness, or misery. Christ shall come, not only in the glory of his Father but in his own glory, as Mediator. The wicked and godly here dwell together, in the same cities, churches, families, and are not always to be known the one from the other; such are the weaknesses of saints, such the hypocrisies of sinners; and death takes both: but in that day they will be parted forever. Yeshua is the great Shepherd; he will shortly distinguish between those that are his and those that are not. All other distinctions will be done away; but the great one between saints and sinners, holy and unholy, will remain forever.

The happiness the saints shall possess is very significant. It is a kingdom; the most valuable possession on earth; yet this is but a faint resemblance of the blessed state of the saints in heaven. It is a kingdom prepared. The Father provided it for them in the greatness of his wisdom and power; the Son purchased it for them; and the blessed Spirit, in preparing them for the kingdom, is preparing it for them.

It is prepared for them: it is in all points adapted to the new nature of a sanctified soul. It is prepared from the foundation of the world. This happiness was for the saints, and they for it, from all eternity. They shall come and inherit it. What we inherit is not got by ourselves. It is God that makes heirs of heaven. We are not to suppose that acts of bounty will entitle to eternal happiness. Good works done for God’s sake, through Yeshua, are here noticed as marking the character of believers made holy by the Spirit of Yeshua, and as the effects of grace bestowed on those who do them. The wicked in this world were often called to come to Yeshua for life and rest, but they turned from his calls; and justly are those bid to depart from Yeshua, that would not come to him. Condemned sinners will in vain offer excuses. The punishment of the wicked will be an everlasting punishment; their state cannot be altered. Thus life and death, good and evil, the blessing and the curse, are set before us, that we may choose our way, and as our way so shall our end be.

Our Lord lays it right on the line, what our work should consist of as His followers and workers. Matthew 25: 35 – 39 and in verse 40 explains how our work not only benefits those we approach and work with but how it appears in God’s eyes. “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you. Since ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye, have done it unto me.  “In God’s words, we find what I believe, Yeshua was telling the young man by spiritually letting go of his desire to hold all his worldly possessions as being important. Then following Yeshua and His teachings he would find himself on the right hand of God. I want to reference here the article published March 24, 2018 “IS YOUR JOURNEY TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT OF LIFE? This article gave us a look at what our journey through this life encased in a carnal temple which has an expiry date on it. I quote “From the moment we draw our first breath “as one so wonderfully fashioned” by God in the womb (Job 31:15). We enter into our journey through life to reconnect with God spiritually through our personal relationship with Yeshua before our carnal temple expires.” 

In this article, we can see our desire to reconnect spiritually with God having been pointed out previously in the Article published March 24, 2018 “IS YOUR JOURNEY TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT OF LIFE? Can be seen as the foundation of our walk, and God’s description of the final judgment reveals the complete Assembly and what it must be prepared to do in the name of our Lord to obediently serve Him. In doing so, we will receive the gifts of heaven as described which are being prepared for us now.

In contrast to the gifts of God, the separation describes what is available for those who choose to be on the left. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) gives us a look: Those that glory in sin, glory in their shame. The patience and forbearance of God are abused by sinners, to the hardening of their hearts in their wicked ways. But the enemies in vain boast in their mischief, while we have God’s mercy to trust in. It will not save us from the guilt of lying, to be able to say, there was some truth in what we said if we make it appear otherwise than it was. The more there is of craft and contrivance in any wickedness, the more there is of Satan in it. When good men die, they are transplanted from the land of the living on earth to heaven, the garden of the Lord, where they shall take root for ever; but when wicked men die, they are rooted out, to perish forever. The believer sees that God will destroy those who make not him their strength. 

Men’s words will be judged of by the affections with which they speak. He who not only speaks aright ( which an evil man may do to save his credit or please his company). But loves to talk so, speaks well of choice, and with delight, to him, it will be life; and he that not only speaks amiss (which a reasonable man may do through inadvertency), but loves to speak so (Psalms 52:4 Why boastest thou in mischief, O mighty man? The goodness of God endureth continually. Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Thou lovest evil more than good and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue. God shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. The wicked who boasted himself, not only in the power he has to make mischief but in the harm he did. It is terrible to do ill, but it is worse to boast of it and glory in it when we have done, not only not to be ashamed of a wicked action but to justify it but to magnify it and value ourselves upon it. Those who glory in their sin glory in their shame, and then it becomes yet more shameful mighty men are often mischievous men and boast of their heart’s desire, (Psalm 10:3) For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.

Father in heaven we thank you for all the wisdom you have provided through the Holy Spirit. We thank you, Lord, for lighting our path revealing the pitfalls we will or can encounter as we continue our journey. We know the tongue can be a stumbling block for our walk and thank you for strengthening our desire to bring control into our lives over our speech. We ask Father for your compassion to blanket us so we might receive through the Holy Spirit your guiding love to remove all thoughts of evil-doing so we may continue drawing closer to Yeshua in our personal relationship. This we pray in Yeshua’s name, Amen, and Amen. 

Again please remember this is just a humble servant doing the bidding of the LORD I pray for you to have a safe journey forward. Walk in God’s love and peace and may the “CASTING OF YOUR NET” be fruitful remember He is always with you if you hold His love in your heart always. God’s Speed. 

SUPERIORITY OF WISDOM Per King Solomon. (Ecclesiastes 2:12 -16)

 And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly. For what can the man do that cometh after the King? Even that which hath been already done. Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness. The wise man’s eyes are in his head but the fool walketh in darkness. And I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all. Then said I in my heart, as it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity. For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.

Here we have the most dedicated of the Apostles saying he will follow the Lord without a doubt. However, Yeshua looks within Peter’s heart and informs him there will be three denials before the cock crows the next morning. The questions the Holy Spirit is showing to ask goes as follows: How deep do you believe your commitment to Yeshua runs in you? How well do you know Yeshua personally? How close is your walk to the spoken commitment? Which of the ten maidens with oil are you? It’s easy to proclaim, however when the chips are down where will you be? Remember you’re up against who was considered the best (Peter) whose stated commitment was measured and fell short.

I was sent this video which I firmly believe reveals the state of our modern day churches, undoubtedly not Yeshua’s Assemblies (In case you’re wondering historians verify there were no churches the early followers were known as Believers and gathered in Assemblies). I believe it personifies the Three Denials being issued by those in the Worldly Churches following their god of love. 

The caption which accompanied this video “Now I realize why we need to search out scriptures for ourselves. I never could understand and get why until I saw this video experiment.” Randy P. I wonder how many others might confess this hole in their walk.

Heavenly Father in humility we come before your throne, asking for you to search our hearts and reveal the true state of our journey. The true position, we hold with Yeshua within our personal relationship. Bring our weaknesses forward to be identified, show us our vulnerabilities to temptations, fill us with humility so we might accept your findings. Bring forward the depth of our Integrity and wisdom of our determination in demonstrating ourselves as humble, meek, servants committed to your service. Bring into our lives the secrets of heaven, that we might be emboldened to serve with all of our hearts, our minds, and most of all our Spirit and Soul. This we pray in your name Yeshua, Amen and Amen. 

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

 “Ye are they which justify yourselves before men, but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. (Luke” 16:15) So, where do you fit in this declaration by our Lord? There it is in plain English God knows your heart and so do you. Now, the previous article “THE SACRIFICE” Published July 25, 2018, becomes even clearer, the role our sacrifices play in our current walk. The article “TRUTH WILL BE EVIL, LIES WILL BE TRUTH,” Published June 14, 2018, revealed there were two options to choose from who it is we will follow if it’s God then follow Him. If it’s Baal, then follow him. It clearly showed there was no middle there is no room for complacency or altering the commitment to make it easier to be a part of. Once your choice is made if with God, then be the best at it, if with Baal then be in fear of what your choice will determine your just rewards will bear as fruit in the end.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) commentary on Luke 16:15. “The true riches signify spiritual blessings; and if a man spends upon himself, or hoards up what God has trusted to him, as to outward things, what evidence can he have, that he is an heir of God through Yeshua? The riches of this world are deceitful and uncertain. Let us be convinced that those are truly rich, and very rich, who are rich in faith, and rich toward God, rich in Christ, in the promises; let us then lay up our treasure in heaven, and expect our portion from thence.“

“Our Lord added a solemn warning,” Ye cannot serve God and the world, so divided are the two interests. When our Lord spoke thus, the covetous Pharisees treated his instructions with contempt. But he warned them, that what they contended for as the law, was a wresting of its meaning: this our Lord showed in a case respecting divorce. There are many covetous sticklers for the forms of godliness, who are the bitterest enemies to its power and try to set others against the truth. 

The design of Yeshua in giving himself for us, is, that he may purchase to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works; and true belief is the most durable bond of friendship. Here are earnest exhortations to several Believers duties, especially contentment. The sin opposed to this grace and commitment is covetousness, an over-eager desire for the wealth of this world, with envy of those who have more than ourselves. 

Having treasures in heaven, we may be content with mean things here. Those who cannot be so, would not be content though God raised their condition. Adam was in paradise, yet not contented; some angels in heaven were not contented; but the apostle Paul, though abased and empty, had learned in every state, in any state, to be content. Believers have reason to be contented with their present lot. This promise contains the sum and substance of all the promises; “I will never, no, never leave thee, no, never forsake thee.” 

The professed love of Believers to each other should be sincere, free from deceit, and insignificant and deceitful compliments. Depending on Divine grace, they must detest and dread all evil, and love and delight in whatever is kind and useful. We must not only do that which is good, but we must cleave to it. All our duty towards one another is summed up in one word, love. This denotes the love of parents to their children; which is more tender and natural than any other; unforced, unconstrained. And love to God and man, with zeal for the gospel, will make the wise Believer diligent in all his worldly business, and in gaining superior skill. God must be served with the spirit, under the influences of the Holy Spirit. He is honored by our hope and trust in him, especially when we rejoice in that hope. 

The last verse suggests what is not easily understood by the world; that in all strife and contention, “Those who seek revenge, are conquered, and those who choose to forgive are conquerors.” Be not overcome of evil. Learn to defeat ill designs against you, either to change them or to preserve your own peace. He that has this rule over his spirit is better than the mighty. God’s children may be asked whether it is not sweeter to them than all earthly good, that God so enables them by his Spirit, thus to feel and act. 

Believers must avoid a useless expense, and be careful not to contract any debts they have not the power to discharge. They are also to stand aloof from all venturesome speculations and rash engagements, and whatever may expose them to the danger of not rendering to all their due. Do not keep in any one’s debt. Give every one his own. Do not spend that on yourselves, which you owe to others. But many who are very sensible of the trouble, think little of the sin, of being in debt. Love to others includes all the duties of the second table. The last five of the ten commandments are all summed up in this royal law, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself; with the same sincerity that thou lovest thyself, though not in the same measure and degree. He that loves his neighbor as himself will desire the welfare of his neighbor. On this is built that golden rule, of doing as we would be done by. Love is a living, active principle of obedience to the whole law. Let us not only avoid injuries to the persons, connections, property, and characters of men; but do no kind or degree of evil to any man, and study to be useful in every station of life.

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert

Throughout this article, we are shown the two sides of our walk and commitment, what is revealed are the different situations by which we unwittingly deny Yeshua. The second side is like Peter, our commitment is known to Yeshua measured and noted. Even though Peter denied knowing Yeshua three times he was continually blessed with wisdom discernment and the courage to demonstrate his love and devotion to Yeshua and demonstrated his relationship, he never fell short in his commitment. Through Peter’s demonstration, we are able to recognize the compassion our Father has for us as well determination we will see His light and forgiveness.

This does not give us permission to sin or fall away from truth and our journey learning how to share God’s saving grace. Our aim must be like Paul, who learned to be content in every state, in any state, to be content. Yeshua offers us the ultimate promise “I will never, no, never leave thee, no, never forsake thee.” What more can we ask for, as in this realm we have Yeshua’s precious gift of His presence assured? This article reveals there are many pitfalls we will encounter which represent our denials of Yeshua. But we now know who it is picking us up and dusting us off and reassuring us there is a special victory waiting for us at the end of this journey.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your steadfastness in maintaining your promise of being with us to the end. Thank you, Lord, for reaching down through the Holy Spirit to lift us when we are downed by the enemy. Thank you for advancing our understanding of our journey that it allows us to shine your light on this world. We honor those heavenly gifts shared with us and the instruction from the Holy Spirit on how to use them. We thank you, Lord, for the knowledge to recognize who and what our enemy attempting to achieve. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen.

Remember these articles are just messages of a humble, obedient Servant called to be a Watchman sounding the Trumpet to the make the flock aware. God’s blessings to those who hear the Trumpet. And know true messengers cannot be delegated they must have the spirit of God in them as Peter did when, with eyes full of heavenly light and heart glowing with sacred fire, declared Yeshua, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God!” May God bring blessings to all who walk in the name of Yeshua as Adopted children. “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; (For we walk by faith, not by sight). We are confident, I say, and willing rather be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” (2Corinthians 5:6-8)

Hear me O Lord, hear me, that these people may know thou art the Lord God, and thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water which was in the trench. And when the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, The Lord, he is the God, the Lord, he is the God. (1King 18:37 – 39.)

PRE-AMBLE by Robert 

The Lord through the Holy Spirit brought me to The Book 1Kings in the Old Testament to reveal the similarities of how far from God the modern churches worshipping their worldly god of love, have fallen and in similar actions how far from God the Israelites under King Ahab had fallen away from God.

Like Elijah, we as “Modern Day Disciples” are being lead to revealing who Yeshua is and why God placed Him among us. “Yes,”  we recognize the original saying, and it is true Yeshua came to save our, souls, and “Yeshua” did. However, do we fully comprehend and understand what really took place that, day? Remember we have been shown Adam and Eves’s sins separated our spirit from God. We were given a fleshly body which perishes, however, as well an opportunity in this lifetime to spiritually reconnect with God. In the July article “ADOPTION” published July 10, 2018, we were shown the true meaning of that adoption.

Now when we look at the event, Elijah put on display it is easy to see what his final goal was, Elijah’s sacrifice displayed God’s existence and glorious power (1King 18:38). After this event the people declared “The LORD, he is the God; The LORD, he is the God. (1Kings 18:39.) 

To premise this event we see Elijah saying onto the prophets of Baal. Choose you one Bulloch for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many, and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under. Those who followed Baal as prophets took the Bullock who was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.  

Midday passed Elijah mocked them and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awakened. 

We no longer perform animal sacrifices to God, and I am going to bring forward what is being revealed through the Holy Spirit, the sacrifices we perform to demonstrate “Yeshua is the Son of God,” and His sacrifice is proof God is the Father of all mankind. It becomes apparent an understanding of our acceptance of Yeshua is not in question. But what it truly means on a spiritual level and what sacrifices we demonstrate so others will see and recognize and accept Him as the Son of God.

Father in heaven, we are calling out Lord to the multitudes to know your love, compassion, and forgiveness. We ask Father for your wisdom and discernment to demonstrate your greatness that they would know you as God. Fill us with the strength to endure all the attacks of the enemy. Polish us Lord that we might shine brightly before their eyes as we demonstrate your love for us so the multitudes would know it is you who is lifting us above the evil in this world. It is you who has freed us from the snares and trappings of Satan. Demonstrate through us Lord your greatness that they would see your sacrifice and know you are the Son of God. This we pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

I want to delve into this article as quickly as possible as there is a considerable amount of information to absorb and discern. From (1Kings) the Holy Spirit lead me to (Romans 12), where we find the Apostle Paul in his writings explaining the prime fundamental doctrines of being a follower and believer in Yeshua the Son of God.

“We mistake our belief in Yeshua if we look upon it only as a system of notions and a guide to speculation. It is a reasonable belief, that tends to the right ordering of conversation. It is designed not only to inform our judgments but to reform our hearts and lives. From the method of the apostle’s writing in this, as in some other of the epistles, the stewards of the mysteries of God may take direction how to divide the word of truth. Not to press duty abstracted from privilege, nor privilege abstracted from duty but let both go together, with a complicated design, they will greatly promote and befriend each other,”

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates the following, “The foundation of believers assembling must be laid in spiritual knowledge and faith. We must first understand how we receive Yeshua our Lord, and then we shall know the better how to walk in him. The exhortations are short and pithy, briefly summing up what is good, and what the Lord our God in Yeshua requires of us. It is an abridgment of the Assemblies directory, an excellent collection of rules for the right ordering of the conversation, as becomes the gospel. It is joined to the preceding discourse by the word “therefore.” It is the practical application of doctrinal truths that is the life of preaching. Therefore what God hath joined together let no man put asunder. Paul had been discoursing at large of the justification by faith, and of the riches of free grace, and the pledges and assurances we have. The particular exhortations of this chapter are reducible to the three principal heads of Assembly duty: our duty to God, to ourselves, and to our brother. The grace of God teaches us in general, to live “godly, soberly, and righteously” and to deny all that which is contrary hereunto. 

We will grow to understand what godliness, sobriety, and righteousness, are though somewhat intermixed. Paul entreated the Romans, like his brethren in Yeshua, by the mercies of God, to present their bodies as a living sacrifice to Him. This is a powerful appeal. We receive from the Lord every day the fruits of his mercy. Let us render ourselves; all we are, all we have, all we can do: and after all, what return is it for such very rich receiving? It is acceptable to God: a reasonable service, which we are able and ready to give a reason for, and which we understand. Conversion and sanctification are the renewings of the mind; a change, not of the substance, but of the qualities of the soul. The progress of sanctification, dying to sin more and more, and living to righteousness more and more, is the carrying on this renewing work until it is perfected in glory.

The Apostle Paul in Romans 12:1-21 lays out the scheme mentioned earlier what is godliness Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) interprets it for us: It is to surrender ourselves to God, and so to lay a good foundation. We must first give our own selves unto the Lord, (2Corinthians 8:5). This is here pressed as the spring of all duty and obedience, (Romans 12:1,2). Man consists of body and soul, (Genisis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7). The duty pressed–to present our bodies a living sacrifice, alluding to the sacrifices under the law, which were presented or set before God at the altar, ready to be offered to him. Your bodies — your whole selves so expressed because under the law the bodies of beasts were offered in sacrifice, (1Cor. 6:2). Our bodies and spirits are intended. The offering was sacrificed by the priest, but offered by the offerer, who transferred to God all his right, title, and interest in it, by laying his hand on the head of it, Sacrifice is here taken for whatsoever is by Gods own appointment dedicated to himself (1Peter 2:5).

We are a temple, priest, and sacrifice, as Yeshua was in his peculiar sacrificing. There were sacrifices of atonement and sacrifices of acknowledgment. Yeshua, who was once offered to bear the sins of many, is the only sacrifice of atonement but our persons and performances, tendered to God through Yeshua, our priest, are as sacrifices of acknowledgment to the honor of God. Presenting them denotes a voluntary act, done by virtue of the absolute despotic power which the will has over the body and all the members of it, It must be a free-will offering. Your bodies, not your beasts. The presenting of the body to God implies not only the avoiding of the sins that are committed with or against the body but the using of the body as a servant of the soul in the service of God. 

So to sum this up To be religious is to serve God. How? 1). We must make a business of it, and not be slothful in that business. 2). We must be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. God must be served with the spirit (Romans 1:9; John 4:24), under the influences of the Holy Spirit. Whatever we do in spirituality it is pleasing to God no further than it is done with our spirits wrought upon the Spirit of God. 3). Rejoicing in hope God is worshipped and honored by our hope and trust in Him, especially when we rejoice in that hope, take a complacency in that confidence, which argues a great assurance of the reality and a great esteem of the excellency of the good hoped for. 4). Patient, in tribulation. Thus also God is served, not only by working for him when he calls us to work but by sitting still quietly when he calls us to suffer. Patience for God’s sake, and with an eye to his will and glory, is true piety. 5). Continuing instant in prayer, Prayer is a friend to hope and patience, and we do in it serve the Lord. It signifies both fervency and perseverance in prayer. We should not be cold in the duty, nor soon weary of it, (1Thess,v17; Eph. 6:18; Col. 4: 2). This is our duty which immediately respects God.

Next, Paul offered an explanation of sobriety which Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) again interprets: A sober opinion of ourselves, (Romans 12:3). It is ushered in with a solemn preface: I say through the grace given unto me: the grace of wisdom, by which Paul understood the necessity and excellency of this duty the grace of apostleship, by which Paul had the authority to press and enjoin it. We must not be self-conceited, nor esteem too much our own wisdom and other attainments, not think ourselves to be something (Gal.6:3).  There is a highly thought of ourselves which we may and must have to imagine ourselves too good to be slaves of sin and drudges to this world. On the other hand, we think soberly, that is,  we must have a low and modest opinion of ourselves and to what we have received from God our own abilities, our gifts and graces, according to what we have received from God. 

Moving forward we are now looking for an understanding and description of righteousness under faith. However to fully comprehend what we have in righteousness through faith a look at righteousness which is of the law I believe is needed first. Paul in [Romans 10] desired for the Jews to come out from under the law to be truly saved from the wrath to come, eternal wrath, which was hanging over their heads. With his rendition, Paul believed they could be convinced and converted but knew he could not pray in faith so they might be saved in their unbelief.  Paul was merciful, as God is, who is not willing that any should perish (2Peter 3:9), desires not the death of sinners. Paul in this chapter set the tone: it is our duty as “modern-day disciples” honestly and earnestly to desire the salvation of our own. To complete what has been set before us. I believe we need the following information to identify which righteousness those we are about meet are walking in. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) offers an in-depth look at both walks in righteousness the first being the righteousness of the law. “This Paul shows in (Romans 10:5). The tenor of it is, Do, and live. Though it directs us to a better and more effectual righteousness in Yeshua, yet in itself, considered as a law abstracted from its respect to Yeshua and the gospel (for so the unbelieving Jews embraced and retained it), it owneth nothing as a righteousness sufficient to justify a man but that of perfect obedience. For this, he quotes that scripture (Leviticus 18:5), You shall, therefore, keep my statutes and my judgments, which if a man does, he shall live in them. To this, he refers to (Galatians 3:12), The man that doeth them, shall live in them. Live that is, be happy, not only in the land of Canaan but in heaven, of which Canaan was a type and figure. The doing supposed must be perfect and sinless, without the least breach or violation. Now, was it not extreme folly in the Jews to adhere so strictly to this way of justification and salvation, which was in itself so hard, and by the corruption of nature now become impossible, when there was a new and a living way opened?

Now we turn to the definition of righteousness which is of faith. Described by Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) Paul describes in the words of Moses, in Deuteronomy, in the second law (so Deuteronomy signifies), where there was a much clearer revelation of Yeshua and the gospel than there was in the first giving of the law: he quotes it from (Deuteronomy 30:11-14), and shows: 1). That it is not at all hard or complicated. The way of justification and salvation has in it no such depths or knots as may discourage us, no insuperable difficulties attending it but, as was foretold, it is a highway, (Isaiah 35:8). We are not put to climb for it, it is not in heaven we are not set to dive for it, it is not in the deep. First, we need not go to heaven, to search the records or to inquire into the secrets of the divine counsel. It is true Yeshua is in heaven, but we may be justified and saved without going thither, to fetch him thence, or sending a special messenger to him. Secondly, we need not go to the deep, to carry Yeshua out of the grave, or from the state of the dead: into the deep to bring up Yeshua from the dead. This plainly shows that Yeshua’s descent into the deep, or into Hades was no more than his going into the state of the dead, in allusion to Jonah. It is true Yeshua was in the grave, and it is as accurate he is now in heaven. But we need not perplex and puzzle ourselves with fancied difficulties, nor must we create to ourselves such gross and carnal ideas of these things as if the method of salvation was impracticable, and the design of the revelation was only to amuse us. No, salvation is not put at so vast a distance from us. 2). But it is very understandable and manageable. “The word is nigh thee.” When we speak of looking upon Yeshua, and receiving Yeshua, and feeding upon Yeshua, it is not Yeshua in heaven, nor Christ in the deep that we mean but Yeshua in the promise, Christ exhibited to us, and offered, in the word. Yeshua is nigh thee, for the word is nigh thee: nigh thee indeed: it is in thy mouth and in thy heart, there is no difficulty in understanding, believing, and owning it. The work thou hast to do lies within thee; the kingdom of God is in you, (Luke 17:21). 

So now we have these definitions to work with, which give us a solid foundation. Where like Peter we stand on the Rock Yeshua is building His Assembly upon Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) explains Matthew 16:18 “The grant is put into Peter’s hand [I say it to thee.] The Old Testament promises relating to the Assembly were given immediately to particular persons, eminent for faith and holiness, as to Abraham and David which yet gave no supremacy to them, much less to any of their successors, so the New Testament charter is here delivered to Peter as an agent, but to the use and behoof of the Assembly in all ages, according to the purposes therein specified and contained. Now it is here promised.

That Yeshua would build his Assembly upon a rock. This body politic is incorporated by the style and title of Yeshua’s Assembly. It is a number of the children of men called out of the world, and set apart from it, and dedicated to Yeshua. It is not thy Assembly, but mine. Peter remembered this when he cautioned ministers not to lord it over God’s heritage. The Assembly is Yeshua’s peculiar, appropriated to him. The world is God’s, and they that dwell therein but the Assembly is a chosen remnant, that stands in relation to God through Yeshua as Mediator. It bears his image and superscription. The Builder and Maker of the Assembly are Yeshua himself [I will build it]. The Assembly is a temple which Yeshua is the Builder of (Zechariah 6:11-12.)

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert

So now knowing what our sacrifices represent as “Modern Day Disciples,” it becomes clear, our Assembly is built upon a rock a firm, strong, and lasting foundation, which time will not waste, nor will it sink under the weight of the building. Yeshua would not build his Assembly upon the sand, for he knew that storms would arise. So the call goes out to us as disciples like it did to Peter we must show strength and stability are with us. We must show that we are not shaken by the waves of men’s fluctuating opinions concerning us, but be established in the present truth (2Peter 1:12). The Holy Spirit brought me to Hebrews 12:7-8 to recognize the position of the modern day Churches offering a god who only loves you and does not chasten. Those who follow this walk need to know without the sacrifice of being Chastened you will be seen being outside of the Assembly and seen as bastards and not sons.

The captain of our salvation Yeshua does not call his people out to the hardest trials at first, but wisely trains them up with fewer sufferings to be prepared for greater. As “Modern Day Disciples” we must demonstrate the gentleness of Yeshua in accommodating their trial to their strength. We must demonstrate how not to magnify our afflictions, but as disciples, identify the mercies which are mixed with the hardships.

In closing, I want to share this message from God as he has directed his people how we should behave towards all our afflictions they must avoid the extremes that many will run into: 

1. We must not despise the chastening of the Lord we must not make light of afflictions and be stupid and insensible under them, for they are the hand and rod of God and His rebukes for sin. Those who make light of affliction make light of God and make light of sin. 
2. They must not faint when they are rebuked they must not despond and sink under their trial, nor fret and repine, but bear up with faith and patience. 
3. If they run into either of these extremes, it is a sign they have forgotten their heavenly Father’s advice and exhortation, which he has given them in pure and tender affection.

Father in heaven hear our petitions for your knowledge strength and discernment to demonstrate your love and compassion. Bring us your understanding and wisdom that when we please you, Father, you will bring peace into our lives even from our enemies. Show us the way to walk in your light that we might reflect our sacrifices so those in the darkness will see your glory and gentleness towards us as we go through our journey to everlasting life and peace. Give us the fervor to be living examples of how your blessings bring us through all turmoil silently but showing courage and endurance in your name. Allow us to share the knowledge of your presence calming and uplifting us through our turmoils as lessons lifting us to more significant achievements in your name. Allow our walk and demonstrations to prove your deity as the Son of God. This we pray in your name Yeshua, Amen and Amen.

Remember these articles are messages given to a humble, dedicated servant of Yeshua going forward as His Watchman sounding the Trumpet of trials and tribulations coming upon the Assembly and the believers within it. 

And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty if I am a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. (2Kings 1:10)

“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Yeshua accursed. And that no man can say that Yeshua is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. (1Corinthians 12:3).”

Now having been instructed in the previous article “MESSENGER” published July 2nd, 2018 on how we are authorized to go forward in Yeshua’s name. We see Paul relating in 1Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. There are various gifts, and various offices to perform, but all proceed from one God, one Lord, one Spirit; that is, from the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the origin of all spiritual blessings.
In this article, we will find Paul cautioning “Modern Day Disciples the more significant the gifts are, the more the possessor is exposed to temptations, and the larger is the measure of grace needed to keep him humble and spiritual; and he will meet with more painful experiences and humbling dispensations. We should have little cause to glory in any gifts bestowed on us, or despise those who have them not.

Father in heaven as we bow before thy throne, hear our praise of your greatness. You know our service and pledges of dedications, as well as our weaknesses. Place in our hearts your wisdom and discernment for us to strengthen our commitment. Bring unto us your courage that we might face all of our fears, shortcomings, and temptations and place them before you Lord so they may be removed. We plead Father for you to set within us determination, integrity, and willing submission unto your will, to bring only honor to You Father before those we demonstrate as your modern day disciples your love compassion, grace, and freedom unto eternal life. This we pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
We see in 1Corinthians Paul heard there were disorders among the saints who had received his teachings and spiritual gifts. As a result, of this report in 1Corinthians,

we must heed and receive Pauls cautions on what possibly could take place in the ranks of our “Modern Day Disciples.” Paul reveals how in Corinth some gross disorders had been introduced, partly from the interest some false teachers or teachers had obtained amongst them. These were able to take root because their old maxims and manners, had not been thoroughly purged out by the Assembly principles they entertained.
What was reported in Corinth was contempt, hatred, envy, and strife, which are very unnatural to Believers. It is like the members of the same body being without concern for one another or quarreling with each other. The Assembly, or whole collective body of Believers, in all ages, is His body. Every Believer is a member of His body, and every other Believer stands related to Him as a fellow member. (1Cor. 12:27). Thus are the members of the natural body, therefore, should the members of the mystical body be, disposed of. So we can recognize Paul endeavored to suppress the proud, vaunting, and contentious spirit which had prevailed among the Corinthians, because of their Spiritual Gifts.
As “Modern Day Disciples we must like Paul suppress and not allow the spirit of

pride to contentiously prevail within the ranks because of Spiritual Gifts. The contentions mentioned above would enter the Assembly, and Spiritual gifts would thus be condemned. The offices and gifts or favors, dispensed by the Holy Spirit, as follows would be lost. Chief ministers; persons enabled to interpret Scripture; those who laboured in word and doctrine; those who had power to heal diseases; such as helped the sick and weak; such as disposed of the money given in charity by the Believers, and managed the affairs of the Assembly; and such as could speak divers languages. What holds the last and lowest rank in this list, is the power to speak languages; how vain, if a man does so merely to amuse or to exalt himself!
We see through Matthew Henry’s (1662 -1774) commentary how the distribution of these gifts, was not to every one alike, This was to make the assembly all one as if the body were all ear or all eye. The Spirit distributes to every one as he will. We must be content though we are lower and less than others. We must not despise others if we have greater gifts. How blessed the Assembly, if all the members did their duty! Instead of coveting the highest stations, or the most splendid gifts, let us leave the appointment of his instruments to God, and those in whom he works by his providence. 1 Corinthians 12:29, 1 Corinthians 12:30.

So, now it becomes clear why we learned how, and who becomes God’s messengers in the previous article “Messengers” published July 2, 2018. Knowing we must possess the Holiness of God in our hearts to proclaim Yeshua as the Son of God. Now, this comes to us as a pre-cursor to understand how the Holy Spirit distributes the gifts.
No man has them merely for himself. The more he profits others, the more will they turn to his own account. The gifts mentioned appear to mean exact understanding, and uttering the doctrines of the Assembly; the knowledge of mysteries and skill to give advice and counsel. Also the gift of healing the sick, the working of miracles, and to explain Scripture by a peculiar gift of the Spirit, and ability to speak and interpret languages. If we have any knowledge of the truth, or any power to make it known, we must give all the glory to God.
Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) points out “God does, and we should. Value things according to their real worth: and the use of things are the best criterion of their real worth. Those are most valuable that best answer the highest purposes. Such were apostolical powers, compared with theirs who had only the gift of healing and miracles. What holds the last and lowest rank in this enumeration is the diversity of tongues. It is by itself the most useless and insignificant of all gifts. Healing diseases, relieving the poor, helping the sick, have their use. But how vain a thing is it to speak languages, if a man does it merely to amuse or boast himself! This may indeed raise the admiration, but cannot promote the edification, of the hearers, nor do them any good. And yet it is manifest in Ch.14 that the Corinthians

valued themselves exceedingly on this gift. “How proper a method it is to beat down pride to let persons know the actual value of what they pride themselves in! It is too familiar a thing for men to value themselves most on what is the least worth, and it is of great use to bring them to a sober mind by letting them know how much they are mistaken.

Paul gives us the following advice to covet the best gifts charismata ta kreittona either the most valuable in themselves or the most serviceable to others; and these are, in truth, most valuable in themselves, though men may be apt to esteem those most that will raise their fame and esteem highest. Those are genuinely best by which God will be most honored, and his assembly edified. Such gifts should be most earnestly coveted. We should desire that most which are best, and most worth. Grace is, therefore, to be preferred before gifts; and of gifts, those are to be preferred which are of most excellent use. But some read this passage, not as advice, but a charge: zeloute.

“Oh,” gracious and all-knowing heavenly Father overlooking our lives and walk. We humbly bow before your throne in awe of your Gracious love for us. We thank you, Lord, for all which You have placed within our soul this day. We honor your gifts, Father, as Spiritual Tools which enhances our walk, brightens our light, deepens and increases the living water within. Father, we ask for your guidance wisdom and understanding of which spiritual gifts most suit our walk and devotion to You so we might bring the maximum forward when applying it. This we pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

challenges are no different than those Yeshua taught to His disciples in His time. Sure we have progressed 2000+ years however mankind has really not changed the only changes I see is the style by which Satan holds souls in captivity.
What I see Paul offering as a teaching and caution is summed up in the following hints he left in Corinthians for us to discover and use as he did to quell those gifts which have become mischievous when they become the fuel of pride and contention. Always keep in mind as Paul pointed out those gifts which do the most damage to Satans work will for the Disciple using it will become a fervent target and there will be different forms of pain and temptations involved.
So Paul left us the following weapons to use when dealing with those temptations and the pain. These are the right things to use always remember there is a more excellent way to make your gifts effective namely, of charity, of mutual love, and

good-will. This will make your gifts turn to the advantage and edification of the Assembly. This will render all to be kind to each other, and concerned for each other, and therefore calm the spirits, and put an end to little piques, contests, and dispute about precedence.

True charity is greatly to be preferred to the most glorious gifts. To have the heart grow with mutual love is vastly better than to glare with the most pompous titles, offices, or powers.

Over the past months, actually, years I have related a number of messages as a Watchman sounding the Trumpet for all to hear the warnings being received through the primary messenger of God the “Holy Spirit”. I could write a whole book just on his work. However, that is not the leading from him at this time. I am being shown to open the door for all to know there are several different types of messengers God uses to communicate with us. For instance, in the old testament, He used Prophets. One of those was Isaiah. He even had an Ass speak to another Prophet Balaam (Numbers 22:28)

The words of Isaiah are among the most beloved prophecies in the whole Bible. But before Isaiah began receiving a prophecy from the Lord, he underwent an initiation ritual in the Temple. His mouth was cleansed by a burning coal taken from the altar. Then a Seraph declared: “Now that this has touched your lips, your guilt has departed and your sin is blotted out” (Isa. 6:7). “Seraphs were in attendance above him.”

As we journey forward Heavenly Father, we look for your guidance and comforting. We thank you, Lord, for each moment you dedicate to our lives, families, and homes. As we hear from the Holy Spirit, we know your voice is being listened to through him and all those infirmities which may plague us will be healed and a hedge of protection built around our lives. We thank you, Father, for all your mercies and abundant dealings you perform on our behalf. Thank you, Lord, for being our Shepherd and bringing us to bountiful pastures. We do not always recognize God’s messengers so the Holy Spirit is providing information that we might when we encounter or hear from a messenger, know they are messengers from God. As we will find God’s messengers come in many different forms, abide in various places, and fill many different occupations. 

As one of Gods possible messengers, Jonathan Lipnick Dean of the Holy Land Studies Faculty continues through the following description. Like angels, Seraphs are divine messengers. Their job is to proclaim the glory of God. With thunderous voices, they proclaim “Holy, Holy, Holy” shaking the foundations of the Temple. But they have an additional job – to guard the throne of the Lord within the Holy of Holies. They do so, using fire. The Hebrew word seraphim (שְּׂרָפִים) comes from the root SRF (שרפ) which means “to flame.” Seraphs are six-winged “burners” who use fire to deter intruders.

Now, from the Expository commentary, we see another messenger we definitely will recognize and how his message verifies our relationship to Him. 

“Thus He has been making it more and more evident that the only way to receive the Kingdom of  God is to welcome Himself as the Son of the living God come to claim the hearts of men for His Father in heaven. How is it with the little band? Is theirs the popular notion, which classes the Son of God as only one among other gifted sons of men, or do they welcome Him in the plenitude of His divine prerogative and power?

Hence the first inquiry, which brings out the answer: “Some say that Thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.” This is manifestly the popular idea at its highest and best. There was no doubt, among the people those whose thought already was “Away with Him! Away with Him!”  But it might well go without saying the disciples had no sympathy for these. It did, however, remain to be seen whether they were not content, like the rest of the people, to accept him as a teacher sent from God, a great prophet of Isreal, or at most a John the Baptist, the mere herald of the coming King.

We can imagine then, with what intensity of feeling the Master would look into the disciple’s eyes as He put the question, “But whom say ye that I am? And with what joy He would hail the ready response of their spokesman Peter, when, with eyes full of heavenly light and heart glowing with sacred fire, he exclaimed, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God!” 

The answer Peter gave clearly shows what it was that bound the faithful few to Yeshua; and in his response, three reasons for faith may be discerned. 

1. Yeshua satisfied their deepest spiritual wants. They had found in his provision  their whole nature and had learned the truth of His saying, “He that cometh to Me shall never hunger, and He that believeth on Me shall never thirst.” They could now say, “Thou hast the words of eternal life.”  His words brought them nearer to God, promised them eternal life, and began it within them. From the lips of Yeshua had actually fallen words which quickened within them a new life-a life which they recognized as eternal, as lifting them up into another world. These words of His had given them new thoughts about God and about righteousness, they had stirred hopes and feelings of an altogether new kind. And this spiritual life was more to them than anything else. No doubt these men, like their neighbors, had their faults, their private ambitions, their hopes. 
2. Peter was convinced not only that Yeshua had the words of eternal life, but that no one else had. “To whom shall we go?” Peter had not an exhaustive knowledge of all sources of human wisdom. But speaking from his own experience, he affirmed his conviction that it was useless to seek life eternal anywhere else than in Yeshua. So that those who reject Him, or set Him on a level with other teachers, have first of all to deny the chief part of what His contemporaries were struck with and reported, and to fashion a Christ of their own.
3. Upon our faith, nothing is more influential than the holiness of Yeshua. Nothing is more certainly Divine. Nothing is more characteristic of God-not His power, not his wisdom, not even His eternal Being. He who in his own person and life represents to us the holiness of God is more certainly superhuman than he who represents God’s power. A power to work miracles has often been transferred to men, but holiness cannot be delegated. It belongs to character, to the man’s self. It is a thing of nature, of will and of habit. So the holiness of Yeshua was even more convincing than His power or His Message. It was such a holiness as caused the disciples to feel that He was not a mere messenger. His holiness revealed Himself as well as Him that sent Him, and the self that was thus revealed they perceived to be more than human. When, therefore, their faith was tried by seeing the multitudes abandon their Lord, they were thrown back on their surest ground of confidence in Him. And that surest ground was not the miracles which all had seen, but the consecrated and perfect life which as known to them.   

Now with this information, it becomes clear we need to understand how we as “Modern Day Disciples” have the authority to go forward in Yeshua’s name. His disciples received their authority directly from Yeshua. I believe the answer to the question is provided by the following teaching brought forth by The eDisciple a  weekly teaching email on the Gospels, adapted from the Torah Club commentary a division of TORA-PORTIONS. The teaching being quoted covered the following: “Yeshua gave Peter the “Keys to the Kingdom.” What are they, and how do they work? 

In Matthew 16:19, Yeshua gave Simon Peter the “keys to the kingdom.” The popular folk-image of Saint Peter receiving souls at the gates of heaven derives from this passage. The keys are not literal keys, nor are they, keys to the heavenly paradise. The term “Kingdom of Heaven” refers to the Messianic Era, not Heaven. To possess a key is to possess the authority over that which the key unlocks. By giving Simon Peter the “keys to the kingdom,” He invested him with authority to unlock the way to the Messianic Era. 

In that interpretation, the keys to the house of David represent the power to teach authoritatively, to open and close arguments of Torah and make final decisions. Likewise, Yeshua invested his chief disciple with the authority of speaking on His behalf, transmitting and interpreting His teaching, just as the sages transmitted and interpreted the legal codes. Moreover, he gave His Peter (and by extension, all the disciples) administrative and legal authority to apply and interpret His teachings. Just as in the Messianic Era, they will sit upon twelve thrones judging over the twelve tribes, He accorded them the authority to make decisions on behalf of His assembly in the current age. 

Here we see a completely different messenger a group of Messianic followers within the Torah Club a division of TORA-PORTIONS submitting their commentaries as an informative, message, on a weekly basis. However what we can glean from these comments is “where our authority to legally apply and interpret Yeshua’s teachings is established. As well that he forwarded the authority to make decisions on behalf of Yeshua’s assembly in the current age.

Something to remember Satan is a legalist and stands on all of God’s laws so when he confronts us on any issue is challenging your authority to minister the truth. Job 1:7 “And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”  

So now recognizing how the authority to minister our Lord’s truth was established it becomes clear those declaring to be “Modern Day Disciples” are in essence God’s authorized “Messengers” and as such instantly become Satans enemy! We see true messengers cannot be delegated they must have the spirit of God in them as Peter did when, with eyes full of heavenly light and heart glowing with sacred fire, declared Yeshua, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God!”  So, when he who in his own person and life represents to the world, the holiness of God, as Peter did, is more certainly superhuman than he who represents God’s power.  And now know without any doubt where the strength to go forward looking for that one soul to save as Yeshua did, originates from.

I am closing by quoting from the Depository commentaries as I believe my sentiments of what has just been shared with us is fully explained in this commentary. “ To ourselves, then, I say, by the circumstances of our time this question comes. “Will ye also go away?”  Will you be like the rest, or will exceptional fidelity be found in you? Is your attachment to Yeshua so based on personal conviction, is it so truly the growth of your own experience, and so little a mere echo of popular opinion, that you say in your heart, “Though all men should forsake Thee, yet will not I“? It is difficult to resist the current of thought and opinion that prevails around us. Difficult to dispute or even question the opinion of men who have been our teachers, and who have first awakened our mind to see the majesty of truth and the beauty of the universe. It is difficult to choose our own way, and thus tacitly condemn the choice and the way of men we know to be purer in life, and in every essential respect better than ourselves. And yet, perhaps, it is well that we are thus compelled to make up our own mind, to examine the claims of Yeshua for ourselves, and so follow Him with the resolution that comes of personal conviction. If we truly love Him and find that He has taken a place in our life we cannot ever give to another, if we are conscious that our future lies His way, and that we must in heart abide with Him, then all our slowness to understand is patiently dealt with, all our underrating of His real dignity is forgiven us, and we are led on in His company to perfect conformity, perfect union, and perfect knowledge.

Thus we now know why God our Father in heaven called us to return to His Laws follow in His Sons footsteps as Modern Day Disciples to ultimately become His authorized “MESSENGERS” to find that one lost soul as His Son did!

As my journey leads me along the narrow path through this life a sense of peace has come over me, and I now recognize I’m not alone. My stride is sure, demonstrating confidence but not an arrogant strut. It shows determination supported by

My question, will I be an essential companion as I journey? Then I pondered am I going to be worthy of traveling with this companion? I know there are only a few who will recognize who my companion is and why He continues being at my side even though I am a constant challenge to Him. What comes to me is how Yeshua as my companion is revealing how to be as He is, an unseen companion. The Holy Spirit brought me to John 10 to understand what my silent companion was offering and if I chose to follow in His footsteps what would be expected of me to offer as a silent companion. In John10 Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) explains how Yeshua revealed His walk for those who desire to follow in His footsteps. “Our Lord laid not his life down for his doctrine, but for his sheep.” He described the gracious disposition and happy state of his sheep; they heard and believed his word, followed him as his faithful disciples, and none of them should perish; for the Son and the Father were one. Thus he was able to defend his sheep against all their enemies, which proves that he claimed Divine power and perfection equally with the Father. No weapon formed against our Lord Jesus shall prosper. He escaped, not because he was afraid to suffer, but because his hour has not come. And He who knew how to deliver himself knows how to deliver the godly out of their temptations, and to make a way for them to escape.

Here is a parable or similitude, from the customs of the East, in the management of sheep. Men, as creatures depending on their Creator, are called the sheep of his pasture. The Assembly of God in the world is as a sheep-fold, exposed to deceivers and persecutors. The great Shepherd of the sheep knows all that is his, guards them by his providence, guides them by his Spirit and word, and goes before them, as the Eastern shepherds went before their sheep, to set them in the way of his steps. Shepherds must serve the sheep in their spiritual concerns. The Spirit of Christ will set before them an open door. The sheep of Yeshua will observe their Shepherd, and be cautious and shy of strangers, who would draw them from faith in him to fancies about him. Many who hear the word of Christ, do not understand it, because they will not. But we shall find one scripture expounding another, and the blessed Spirit making known the blessed Yeshua. Yeshua is the Door. And what greater security has the Assembly of God than that Yeshua is between it and all its enemies? He is a door open for passage and communication. Here are plain directions how to come into the fold; we must come in by Yeshua. By faith in him as the great Mediator between God and man. Also, we have precious promises to those that observe this direction. Yeshua has all that care of his Assembly, and every believer, which a good shepherd has of his flock; and he expects the Assembly, and every believer, to wait on him, and to keep in his pasture.
Adam Clarke (1760 -1832) through his comments on John10:9 explains what our duty

as a silent companion will look like as a shepherd. “Go in and out- This phrase, in the style of the Hebrews, points out all the actions of a man’s life, and the liberty he has of acting, or not acting. A good shepherd conducts his flock to the fields where good pasturage is to be found, watches over them while there, and brings them back again and secures them in the fold. So he that is taught and called of God feeds the flock with those truths of his word of grace which nourish them unto eternal life, and God blesses together both the shepherd and the sheep, so that going out and coming in they find pasture. Every occurrence is made useful to them, and all things work together for their good.
The modern-day heirlings posing as pastors ought to remember that whoever boasts of being the way of salvation, and the gate of heaven, shows himself to be a thief and an impostor. And though few have arrived at this degree of folly, yet there are many who rely too much upon their own talents, eloquence, and labors, as if the salvation of the sheep depend necessarily thereon. In which respect they are always robbers since they rob the grace of Yeshua of the glory of saving the sheep.
God often puts such hirelings to shame, by not opening the hearts of the people to receive their word. While he blesses those who are humble, in causing them to be heard with attention and accompanying their preaching with an unction which converts and saves souls. Let every man know that in this respect his sufficiency and success are of the Lord.

overwhelming gratitude for your patient teaching. Thank you, Lord, for raising us to a new level of discernment, love, and compassion. Praise God for us having some months ago hearing His call to us to return to His law. Too sit down and do an assessment of our walk and relationship with Yeshua. Here we are now learning how to be as Yeshua is with us a silent companion. The following defines what I call “MIND CANDY” it’s a quote from “Placing My Foot In Yeshua’s Footprint” published June/17/2017 and I believe it fits our current spiritual atmosphere. ” The teachings being received in many of what are being called churches today, represent weekly entertainment centers or gathering places for like-minded fellowship and edification of the worldly [god] most have come to worship. An image made like to corruptible man which involves issues affecting the environment, as well as political and social. They give the appearance of being an assembly (Church) and in reality, are headed up by a hireling teacher leading a flock of deluded followers. Each week the hirelings attend a meeting of hireling teachers who participate in a group meeting usually a Thursday, to lay out and agree on their collective sermon to uplift their worldly [god] of love. They reap from those who have become merchandise in the name of their worldly [god].
In reality, it only personifies the worldly image they have created and accepted as their [god] (Romans 1:21) Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful: but became vain in their imaginations and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Which gives no edification to their spiritual relationship with Yeshua nor does it prepare them for any spiritual battles which may lay ahead.
Yeshua taught in parables because it made the instructions easier. Parables can be used to convince our adversaries to step down and brings reproofs closer, causing us to become more aware and to reprove ourselves. Yeshua knows our weaknesses, however, and wants us to recognize them and fervently change them. Remember there can be no enmity before God, not one. Check to see what Political Correctness has brought into your assemblies and the presence of God, as Sin. 1John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man, love the world. The love of the Father is not in him.

Is it wrong to look into the stars and wonder about our origin? Are there other life forms in the universe? Are we descendants of an alien race? Have you ever wondered about the validity of evolution or questioned creationism? How did the Egyptians build the pyramids?

The world is full of “MIND CANDY” offered as Philosophies which feed into conceitedness, complacency, fantasies, deceptions, behaviors meant to fool or trick, as an example, Climate Change, Globalism, Socialism, and many other misleading frauds too numerous to name.
My question, “why do we need to know the answers,” other than to satisfy our human curiosity?

What benefit does having the answers to these questions bring to our spiritual walk into Eternal life or in developing our relationship with Yeshua? Would we not reap more benefit from this amount of wasted time spent chasing after those answers? By seeking more profound discernment in Yeshua’s words allowing us to draw closer in our personal relationship with him? Learning from Yeshua’s examples and teachings through the Holy Spirit how to apply what we have learned in our daily walk through this life into the eternal Life ahead.
I see the opening questions as Satans diversionary tactic using our human shortcoming called curiosity. I call it “MIND CANDY” pure and simple, a mental diversion from seeking the truth, and leading nowhere but to the broad path of destruction and satisfying our curiosity under the guise of gathering worldly wisdom.
The enemy plays on complacency within the ranks of Believers. Satan uses our humanistic traits against mankind with little effort and is usually successful in those temptations placed before them. 
The one trait which is entirely predominate, many believers stumble on is their pride in the fashion of their walk. Some are puffed up, many are learned and able to discern, but closed to learning or furthering their walk as they believe they have arrived and are at heavens door. Thus their personal relationship with Yeshua becomes stagnant. I see many who think they walk with Yeshua falling into a routine of service, believing this makes them Holy and Pious.

Please, we have no guarantees, in the article, NARROW IS THE WAY! ARE YOU UP TO IT? (Published July 29, 2017). Paul revealed this when he called for his followers to be constantly working out their salvation. As even he feared not being recognized by Yeshua. “Paul had another reason namely, “that he might be himself a partaker of the benefits he taught” (1 Corinthians 9:23). Apostle though he was, he had his salvation to work out. He was not himself saved by proclaiming salvation to others, any more than the baker is fed making bread for others, or the physician kept in health by prescribing for others.” Paul also pointed out as believers developing our personal relationship with Yeshua we will discover the promise of salvation and walking under grace encourages us to continue seeking the truth to work out our Salvation and recognize what our future position in Eternity could be with Yeshua.
Matthew Henry in his commentary on Luke 22:28 describes what lies ahead and what to expect “How unbecoming is the worldly ambition of being the greatest, to the character of a follower of Yeshua, who took upon him the form of a servant, and humbled himself to the death of the cross! On the way to eternal happiness, we must expect to be assaulted and sifted by Satan. If he cannot destroy, he will try to disgrace or distress us. Nothing more certainly forebodes a fall, in a professed follower of Yeshua, than self-confidence, with disregard to warnings, and contempt of danger. Unless we watch and pray always, we may be drawn in the course of the day into those sins which we were in the morning most resolved against. If believers were left to themselves, they would fall; but they are kept by the power of God, and the prayer of Yeshua.”
Like Yeshua who knew the Samaritan woman was in need, we will experience those coming into our lives, who have been drawn by our light, who have a need as well.

In the article, NARROW IS THE WAY! ARE YOU UP TO IT? (Published July 29, 2017).   I alluded “the Holy Spirit was revealing, which I believe is very important to discern when dealing with those who are being drawn out of the darkness through our light. “The Holy Spirit in John 1:9 that was the true light, which lighteth “everyman” that cometh into the world. He relates, not just those who come to Salvation have received the “light of Yeshua” but “all men do“ they just don’t recognize it, John 1:10 (He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not). When Yeshua took the time to minister to the woman from Samaria it was on a personal level, he set the multitudes aside and focused on this lost soul. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates to this “How the preventing grace of God sometimes brings people unexpectedly under the means of conversion and salvation. He is found of them that sought him not. We are being exposed to the same teaching Yeshua brought forward to His disciples How glorious an achievement it is to help to save one soul from death. And we have that template right in front of us to practice.
Now having a clearer vision of what to expect from our walk as “Modern Day Disciples.” And having been shown how Satan will attack and what and who he is going to use as his allies. In the article “IF YOU KNEW WHO YOU WERE TALKING TO?” published Aug 8, 2017, I made the following statement “I have always maintained that no one comes into our lives by accident it is always for a purpose, we just don’t know what that purpose is until exposed by Yeshua.” These events will occur because Yeshua knows we are now informed, equipped and ready to deal with them.
The realization every person born into the world has the light of Yeshua in him, some not understanding, but some knowing and not excepting that fact. I believe our task as “Modern Day Disciples” through being living examples and living what we speak, as Yeshua has set as the example, will reflect Yeshua’s light through us into the darkness to awaken His light in any who see it through our example.
However, we must heed the departing message Yeshua left the disciples before passing to the outer life. We find it in the Expository Commentary “Yeshua pauses in this Gospel, to correct certain dissonances of mind and soul, of thought and feeling, which put us in a wrong attitude towards our fellows. He forbids us to sit in judgment upon others. Yeshua says “Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned.” (Luke 6:37).
This does not mean we close our eyes with voluntary blindness, working our way through life as moles; nor does it mean we keep our opinions in a state of flux, not allowing them to crystallize into thought, or to harden into human speech. We must be cautious that in our unconscious judgment we pass upon the actions of others, with our condemnation of the wrong, we pass our sentence upon the wrongdoer, mentally ejecting him from the courtesies and sympathies of life.
There is another judging that the command of Yeshua condemns, that is the hasty and the false judgments we pass on the motives and lives of others, How apt we are to depreciate the worth of others who do not happen to belong to our circle!  

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) reveals the answer which will settle our unconscious judgments, “Yeshua’s commendation of his disciples for their faithfulness to him and this was honor enough for them. They needed not to strive for any greater. You are they who have continued with me in my temptations, you are they who have stood by me and stuck to me when others have deserted me and turned their backs on me. What many don’t realize the disciples committed many mistakes and were guilty of weaknesses, they were defective in their duty. They were very dull and forgetful. And often blundered.  Yet their master passes all by and forgets it he does not upbraid them with their infirmities but gives them this memorable testimonial, “You are they who have continued with me.” Thus does he praise at parting, to show how willing he is to make the best of those whose hearts he knows to be upright with him. 

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert

Our Lord gave notice of a very significant change of circumstances now approaching. The disciples must not expect that their friends would be kind to them as they had been. They must now expect that their enemies would be more fierce than they had been, and they would need weapons. The apostles misunderstood Yeshua thinking he meant real weapons, but the Holy Spirit is showing his “Modern Day Disciples” he was speaking only of the weapons of Spiritual Warfare. The sword of the Spirit is the Sword with which the disciples of Yeshua must furnish themselves.

We have learned even though we might stumble, “as did the Apostles,” at times in our walk if we continue as they did standing by Yeshua’s side he will be there for us. I looked into  1Corinthians 10:13 for my answer and strength going forward. Here is what I found “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 

What more assurance do we need knowing Yeshua is there supporting us even when we stumble, there is a pathway open for us to upright ourselves and continue on shining our light into the darkness to find that one lost soul. “GET BEHIND ME SATAN”

Father in heaven we humbly thank you Lord for all which you have endured in our name. The patience you have shown as we go forward in our learning and acceptance of your gifts. Lord open our minds to strengthen our will so we may stand against the wiles of our enemies. Teach us how to use your sword of righteousness as we move forward in your name. We thank you, Father, for creating a pathway for us to walk through our battles with temptations. This we Pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

As “Modern Day Disciples,” our walk, faith, and discernment like the early “Apostles” have been deepened, we are being drawn into a very deep personal relationship with Yeshua. Having been shown there will be moments of turmoil which like Peter will frighten us as we may not entirely understand and because of our relationship with our Lord will call out for his assistance when we believe we are failing not realizing we have in our spirit doubted what we have received as truth.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1714) brings to light a reflection we need to ponder on in his commentary. “Special supports are promised and are to be expected, but only in spiritual pursuits; nor can we ever come to Yeshua, unless we are upheld by his power. Yeshua bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace. When we look off from Yeshua and look at the greatness of opposing difficulties, we shall begin to fall; but when we call to him, he will stretch out his arm, and save us. Yeshua is the great Saviour; those who would be saved, must come to him, and cry to him, for salvation; we are never brought to this, till we find ourselves sinking: the sense of need drives us to him. He rebuked Peter. Could we but believe more, we should suffer less. The weakness of faith and the prevailing of our doubts displease our Lord, for there is no good reason why Yeshua’s disciples should be of a doubtful mind. Even on a stormy day, he is to them a very present help. None but the world’s Creator could multiply the loaves, none but its Governor could tread upon the waters of the sea: the disciples yield to the evidence, and confess their faith. They were suitably affected and worshipped, Yeshua. He that comes to God must believe, and he that believes in God will come, Hebrews 11:6.”

Full satisfaction is reserved for the future state. Your joys shall be constant. God not only works in them a gracious desire for these pleasures but by his Spirit fills your souls with joy and peace in believing. He quickens whom he will; and whoever will, may come, and take from him of the waters of life freely. May we know, and love, and uprightly serve the Lord; then no proud enemy, on earth or from hell, shall separate us from his love. Faith calleth things that are not, as though they were. It carries us forward to the end of time; it shows us the Lord, on his throne of judgment; the empire of sin fallen to rise no more.

“All things are in your control heavenly Father, including our walk to eternal life with you. We ask Lord for you to reveal through the Holy Spirit how to appropriately share our gift with those trapped in the darkness of this world. We pray for Father a deep discernment and understanding of how to use your gifts to be the most effective example of reflecting your light love and compassion to them. Deepen our enthusiasm and determination to withstand the wiles of the enemy preventing us from approaching them. Fill us with determination to expel our doubts and fears. We give thanks to you Lord and pray this in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen,”  

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert 

Is it not curious how we hold ourselves back from utilizing the wonderous gifts which have been offered. When I think how many who surround me declaring their love and desire to serve and be with our Saviour Yeshua. Yet suffer shortcomings in their walk daily when they should be walking in peace and joy praising God for His gifts while using and sharing them. What was shown in “THERE CAN BE NO TRUE PEACE WITHOUT GRACE” ‘For our Salvation to have any value in God’s eyes, it must be shared.’ It is now revealing where some of our weaknesses are. This article is going to introduce us to how to recognize we are in God’s Hands and why we should not have doubt in our lives. We are going to find how Yeshua, while walking in this world, was able through his faith, and without doubt, was through His Father performing all His miracles. John 8:54

Yeshua through the Holy Spirit is allowing us to look deep into our commitment to see our weaknesses and fears. He is going to allow us to follow our choices until we recognize our failing ways and will then lift us up so we might truly witness His power that we may obtain a greater level of acceptance, thus removing doubt from our being and walk. Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Yeshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.”  

Our past articles I believe, have led us to this position in our walks. Yeshua called to Peter to come to him and he was walking on water until he took his eyes off of Him. After rescuing Peter, Yeshua pointed out why he failed,  ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’  (Matthew 29 – 31). In that quick statement to Peter, Yeshua is identifying with us why we are not able to utilize all of God’s gifts. It is lack of faith and doubt, along with the acceptance of our enemies’ lies that the time for Healings and Miracles has passed.

I believe Peter in Acts 10:34 dispells this lie by saying “Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.  So, in my humble opinion, “for what it is worth,” do not believe God has stopped bestowing the Gifts received at Pentecost through the Baptism of “The Holy Ghost,” and here is why! When we read the following Acts 10:42 ” And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. v.43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins, v.44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard the word. v.45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. v.46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, v.47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  

Well I, know there will be those who will question my position which is their right. However, I cannot nor will not set aside this evidence showing as Yeshua states ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’  (Matthew 29 – 31). I am calling all those walking as “Modern Day Apostles” to recognize what Matthew Henry revealed: “Yeshua bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace.”  The title of this article, “THE COMFORTING HAND OF GOD,” for me relates to where I am with God, and if I truly believe that, then there should be no “DOUBT” in my walk, which will affect my performance as His obedient servant. Meaning and remember it is up to God who he bestows His heavenly gifts too, not as a respecter of men but as the omnipotent Father who knows the true position of a believer’s heart, faith and journey.

So it now becomes clear why we were lead to analyze our walk through the past article “ARE YOU KNOWN BY YOUR FRUITS”? Here, it is becoming clear how God is leading us to follow His Son’s footsteps and those of the early Apostles. Matthew Henry explained it, “Christ came to teach us, not only what we are to know and believe, but what we are to do. Not only toward God but toward men, not only toward those of our party but toward all men.” The Holy Ghost fell upon others after they were baptized, to confirm them in the faith; but upon these Gentiles, before they were baptized, to show that God does not confine himself to outward signs. The Holy Ghost fell upon those who were neither circumcised nor baptized; it is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. They magnified God and spake of Christ and the benefits of redemption. Whatever gift we are endued with, we ought to honor God with it. The believing Jews who were present were astonished that the gift of the Holy Ghost was poured out upon the Gentiles also.

By mistaken notions of things, we make it difficult for ourselves as to the methods of Divine providence and grace. As they were undeniably baptized with the Holy Ghost, Peter concluded they were not to be refused the baptism of water, and the ordinance was administered. The argument is conclusive; can we deny the sign to those who have received the things signified? Those who have some acquaintance with Christ cannot but desire more. Even those who have received the Holy Ghost must see their need of daily learning more of the truth. Peter then commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. 

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert 

I truly believe the following comments quoted here best describe how the early assemblies were being established through the devotion of the Apostle Peter as described in the Expositor’s Bible Commentary. Our lives may be very ordinary and commonplace, the events may succeed one another in the most matter-of-fact style. There may seem in them nothing at all worthy the attention of a Divine Ruler, yet those ordinary lives are just as much planned and guided by supernatural wisdom as the careers of men concerning whom all the world is talking. Only let us take care to follow Peter’s example. He yielded himself completely to the Divine guidance, trusted himself completely to the Divine love and wisdom, and then found in such trust not only life and safety but what is far better, perfect peace and sweetest calm.

There are men never tired of running from one committee to another, and never weary of seeing their names in the morning papers. They count they have been busily and usefully employed if their names are perpetually appearing in newspaper reports as speaking, or at any rate being present, at innumerable meetings, leaving themselves no time for that quiet meditation whereby Peter gained the closest communion with heaven.

Pure and undefiled religion is sometimes found where we least expect it. Wherever the fear of God rules in the heart, it will appear both in works of charity and of piety, neither will excuse from the other. Doubtless, Cornelius had true faith in God’s word, as far as he understood it, though not as yet clear faith in Yeshua. This was the work of the Spirit of God, through the mediation of Yeshua, even before Cornelius knew him, as is the case with us all when we, who before were dead in sin, are made alive. Through Yeshua also his prayers and alms were accepted, which otherwise would have been rejected. Without dispute or delay, Cornelius was obedient to the heavenly vision. In the affairs of our souls, let us not lose time.

Like Peter as “Modern Day Disciples,”we should follow his leadership. Peter was successful in opening the door of faith for many. Because he prepared himself for doing the Divine work by the discipline of meditation, deliberation, and prayer with his Risen Lord. Here I will remind you of the template I revealed at the start of the article. We must recognize a period of pause, repose, and quietness should proceed a new onward movement of development and of action.
