PRE-AMBLE by Robert

As I am researching and writing this article the season for the Jews of Passover is being observed as well the season of the Resurrection of Yeshua by the different sects of Christianity is being celebrated. I was guided by the Holy Spirit to Matthew 25.

Where it becomes clear why choosing Right or Left (Ecclesiastes 10:2) is so relevant to our journey as “Modern Day Disciples.” We are about to discover the significance of our choice and the role it plays in essentially obtaining and retaining oil for our lamps

which Yeshua spoke of in His last sermon where he offers the Parable of the Ten Virgins. We as “Modern Day Disciples” will recognize the importance of requiring and seeking a healthy and intensely personal relationship with our Lord Yeshua. And when requested to share our oil why we should not. We are going to find out who is providing this oil and its purpose within our spiritual journey, along with what cost if there might be hypocrisy or slothfulness in our journey. All of this information must become a part of the light shining through us and the spoken part of our ministry.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father, hear our cries before your throne, recognize our petitions being placed at the foot of your throne. We ask Lord for your strength to acknowledge the depth of our walk, the brightness of our light. We pray, Father you would give us the fervour to remain vigil while waiting for your return, strength to continue our

pursuit of your wisdom your love and compassion that we might draw closer to you Yeshua capturing more of your light that we might fill our vessels with your oil. Give us a strength that we may not waver as we wait for your return. Remove any sliver of doubt or fear which may appear in our walk or testimony. Fill us with overwhelming courage and the joys of heaven that we might share your love and compassion as oil to light the lamps of those preparing to be bridesmaids. We pray this in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert Yeshua keeps no servants to be idle: they have

received their all from him, and have nothing they can call their own but sin. Our receiving from Yeshua is to our working for him. The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. The day of account comes at last. We must all be reckoned with as to what good we have got to our own souls, and have done to others, by the advantages we have enjoyed. It is not meant that the improving of natural powers can entitle a man to Divine grace. It is the real Follower’s liberty and privilege to be employed as his Redeemer’s servant, in promoting his glory, and the good of his people: the love of Yeshua constrains him to live no longer to himself, but to Him, that died for him, and rose again. Those who think it impossible to please God, and in vain to serve him, will do nothing to purpose in religion. They complain that He requires of them more than they are capable of, and punishes them for what they cannot help.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) brings to light in his commentary a reason: The circumstances of the parable of the ten virgins were taken from the marriage customs among the Jews, and explain the great day of Yeshua’s coming. See the nature of Christianity. As Followers, we profess to attend upon Yeshua, to honour him, also to be waiting for his arrival. Sincere Followers are the wise virgins, and hypocrites the foolish ones. Those are the truly wise or foolish that are so in the affairs of their souls. Many have a lamp of profession in their hands, but have not in their hearts, sound knowledge and settled resolution, which are needed to carry them through the services and trials of the present state. Their hearts are not stored with holy dispositions, by the new-creating Spirit of God. Our light must shine before men in good works; but this is not likely to be done unless there is a fixed, active principle in the heart, of faith in Yeshua, and love to God and our brethren.

As “Modern Day Disciples” our chief concern is to share we all need lanterns in our hands, when we attend the bridegroom, to do him honour and do him service. Followers of Yeshua are children of light. We receive the light from the gospel and those (us) who have received it must not only be enlightened by it but must shine as lights. And hold it forth (Philippians 2:15,16). Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) explains the adopted custom of the ten bride-maids Yeshua used in the parable. “It was a custom sometimes used among the Jews on that occasion, that the bridegroom came, attended with his friends, late at night, to the house of the bride. Where she expected him; accompanied with her bride-maids who, upon notice given of the bridegroom’s approach. Were, to go out with lamps in their hands to light him into the house with ceremony and formality, to the celebrating of the nuptials with great mirth. And some think that on these occasions they had usually ten virgins for the Jews never held a synagogue, circumcised, kept the Passover, or contracted marriage, but ten persons at least were present. Boaz when he married Ruth, had ten witnesses, (Ruth 4:2).

They all slumbered and slept. The delay represents the space between the real or apparent conversion of these professors, and the coming of Yeshua, to take them away by death, or to judge the world. But though Yeshua tarries past our time, he will not wait past the due time. The wise virgins kept their lamps burning, but they did not keep themselves awake.
Too many real Followers grow negligent, and one degree of carelessness makes way for another. Those that allow themselves to become lax will scarcely keep from being slack; therefore dread the beginning of spiritual decrease. A startling summons was given. Go ye forth to meet Him, is a call to those prepared. The notice of Yeshua’s approach and the request to meet him will awaken those who give the appearance of slumbering.

Even those best prepared for death have work to do to get actually ready, 2 Peter 3:14. It will be a day of search and enquiry, and it concerns us to think how we shall then be found. Some wanted the oil to supply their lamps when going out. Those that come up short of true grace will undoubtedly see the want of it one time or another. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) quotes it best “An outward profession may light a man in this world, but the damps of the valley of the shadow of death will put out such a light. Watch, therefore, attend to the business of your souls. Be in fear of the Lord all the day long.“
At this point, I was shown the parable in Luke 13:6, “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.” This parable of the barren fig-tree is intended to enforce the warning: (“Be in fear of the Lord all the day long.“ ) the barren tree, except it, brings forth fruit, will be cut down. As no place or employment can secure from the stroke of death, we should consider the sudden removals of others as

warnings to ourselves. On these accounts, Yeshua founded a call to repentance. The same Yeshua that bids us repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand, calls us to repent, or otherwise, we shall perish. This parable in the first place refers to the nation and people of the Jews. Yet it is, without doubt, for awakening all that enjoy the means of grace, and the privileges of the visible church. When God has borne long, we may hope that he will bear with us yet a little longer, but we cannot expect that he will. We see from research the connection between the two different yet similar parables. The first showing we must be ready, diligently waiting for Yeshua’s return even up to our time of passing into Eternity. And even then realizing, we will need our lanterns and the oil to light them as we prepare to pass through the valley of the shadow of death. Now we see the importance of obtaining the oil and more so recognizing how to share this knowledge, without depleting our supply.

That meaning being diligent and not becoming complacent falling into a slumber where we have our lanterns lit however not replenishing our supply. We receive the light from the gospel and those who have received the light must not only be enlightened by it but must shine as lights. And hold it forth (Philippians 2:15,16). The second parable in Luke 13: Yeshua explains v25.) “When once the master of the house is risen up and hath shut the door. And ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us, and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: v26.) then shall ye begin to say, we have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. v27.) But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
To fully understand our Saviours earlier statement we need to recognize there were scholars in the midst of the crowd who were asking questions of Yeshua to trip him

. One of the questions they asked had to do with who was going to be saved. Yeshua knew no answer would satisfy and not create a stir. The following is Matthew Henry’s commentary on Yeshua’s response: “Our Saviour came to guide men’s consciences, not to gratify their curiosity. Ask not, How many shall be saved? But, Shall I be one of them? Not, What shall become of such and such? But, What shall I do, and what will become of me? Strive to enter in at the strait gate. This is directed to each of us; it is, Strives ye. All that will be saved must enter in at the strait gate, must undergo a change of the whole man. Those that would enter must strive to enter. Here are awakening considerations, to enforce this exhortation. Oh, that we may be all awakened by them! They answer the question, Are there few that shall be saved? But let none despond either as to themselves or others, for there are last who shall be first, and first who shall be last. If we reach heaven, we shall meet many there whom we little thought to meet, and miss many whom we expected to find.” Holding our lanterns and filling them with oil going out to meet

the Bridegroom to honour and serve Him now takes on a special meaning when we add the second parable. It isn’t enp and prepare to do the same. As “Modern Day Disciples,” we must always be diligent never becoming complacent about deepening our personal relationship with Yeshua lest we slumber or fall asleep and fall short of the mark.
In the following commentary, I believe Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) from the book of Matthew 13:36-43) is describing our modern-day churches. “This parable represents the present and future state of the gospel church; Christ’s care of it, the devil’s enmity against it, the mixture there is in it of good and bad in this world and the separation between them in the other world. So prone is fallen man to sin, that if the enemy sows the tares, he may go his way, they will spring up, and do hurt; whereas, when good seed is sown, it must be tended, watered, and fenced. The servants complained to their master; Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? No doubt he did; whatever is amiss in the church, we are sure it is not from Christ. Though gross transgressors, and such as openly oppose the gospel, ought to be separated from the society of the faithful, yet no human skill can make an exact separation. Those who oppose must not be cut off but instructed, and that with meekness. And though good and bad are together in this world, yet at the great day they shall be parted; then the righteous and the wicked shall be plainly known; here sometimes it is hard to distinguish between them. Let us, knowing the terrors of the Lord, not do iniquity. At death, believers shall shine forth to themselves; at the great day, they shall shine forth before all the world. They shall shine by reflection, with light borrowed from the Fountain of light. Their sanctification will be made perfect, and their justification published. May we be found of that happy number.”
Those are not Yeshua’s followers who cannot enjoy being alone with God and their own hearts. It is good, upon special occasions, and when we find our hearts enlarged, to continue long in secret prayer, and in pouring out our hearts before the Lord. It is no new thing for Yeshua’s disciples to meet with storms in the way of duty, but he thereby shows himself with more grace to them and for them.
He can take what way he pleases to save his people. But even appearances of deliverance sometimes occasion trouble and perplexity to God’s people, from mistakes about Yeshua. Nothing ought to affright those that have Yeshua near them, and know he is theirs; not death itself. Peter walked upon the water, not for diversion or to boast of it, but to go to Yeshua; and in that he was thus wonderfully borne up. Special supports are promised and are to be expected, but only in spiritual pursuits; nor can we ever come to Yeshua, unless we are upheld by his power. Yeshua called Peter to come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace. When we look off from Yeshua and look at the importance of opposing difficulties, we shall begin to fall; but when we call to him, he will stretch out his arm, and save us. Yeshua is the great Saviour; those who would be saved, must come to him, and cry to him, for salvation; we are never brought to this, till we find ourselves sinking: the sense of need drives us to him.

Father in Heaven, hear our prayers of gratitude and praise of your greatness abounding in our souls through the knowledge thou has bestowed upon us. We humbly thank you for the courage, strength, knowledge, and patience you filled our spirit with that we might remain vigilant as we wait for your return. We thank you, Father, for building on our endurance, and determination to serve as humble, obedient servants. We thank you, Lord, for providing your oil for our lanterns through the Holy Spirit so we might come forward on your return to honour and serve you, Lord. In all things father, we thank you and pray in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen.

Two spectacular celebrations have just finished as the Passover and Resurrection were celebrated this past weekend. Someone asked me what the difference between the two was. My, answer I see no difference as both are celebrating the presence of God and His love and compassion for His children, even though, each is recognizing and expressing their gratitude to God for something miraculous God achieved on their behalf. I see God revealing His eternal presence to each in a manner both have identified and excepted, The bottom line in God’s eyes we are a unique creation of His design.

Which, He filled with His Spirit and wisdom and in His actions showed His Love and compassion for all no matter what we identify ourselves as Jew or Christian. How we pay homage to Him is a personal choice lead by what we have been spiritually taught, the bottom line we all worship Yahewa our creator the one who loves us all. How our final judgment will play out will depend on our choices, made during our

journey through this life. Each personal relationship with God and His Son brings further information for us to seek and find the truth of how to light the path to Eternity and life. As we approach either Yeshua’s return or our final days with lanterns filled with oil to light the way. For us to honour and serve God’s truth will be revealed of whether we have a role to play at the wedding. The choice is ours to make and follow as one of the five with oil and our lanterns shining bright or one of the five desiring oil as their lanterns grow dim and go out.

In all, through the Holy Spirit, we must never lose sight of what we are building within our relationship with God and Yeshua, that being always sharing the Love God holds for all. We must never spiritually slumber or sleep, or allow our lanterns to flicker and go out, always being diligent like the Lord taught us, “wise as a serpent but gentle as a dove,” as we anticipate and wait for His return or eventually pass into our Eternal Life and judgment.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. 

OPENING STATEMENT 

Our spiritual journey has in the article “IF YOU KNEW WHO YOU WERE TALKING TO” identified us as Beacons reflecting Yeshua’s light into this dark world desiring to draw those who recognize it out of the world. In doing so, we have become what I call modern-day disciples who like the Apostles have by following Yeshua’s call “Follow Me“ become an instrument He will use as Fishers of Men.  

When we Reflect Yeshua’s light into this dark world, it is casting a net into the sea and pulling in your catch. As it draws those who see this light, it opens a door for us as God’s messenger’s to identify who “The Word the Son of God” is.  It allows for awakening the light they were born into this world with and identifying His gifts (John 1:9) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  

Here like the Apostles, as we step into Yeshua’s footprint, will recognize through the Holy Spirit’s tutoring and guidance, how Yeshua ministered to all, so they might be disciples as well. For there were many Disciples (Acts 9:10 Ananias in Damascus.) (Acts 9:26 many in Jerusalem who feared Saul) (Acts 9:36 Tabitha in Joppa who did many miracles).  We know this journey will not be without great Temptations and trials as even the Apostle Paul recognized he had to bring his body into submission as do we. Isaiah warned us, to walk the “PATH of HOLINESS” we cannot be unclean during this journey to Eternity. We must learn how to become proficient “Fishers of Men,” it isn’t just enough to cast our nets into the darkness James taught we should connect our wisdom with our faith and use it prosperously for the Lord.  

We must be cautious when sharing our gifts not to be overzealous as Paul relates in 1Tim 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. v5. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.  

Commentator Matthew Henry (Oct 18, 1662 – June 22, 1774) reveals what is required as a Fisherman once we have brought our net in. The commentator states That which raises questions is not for edifying, that which gives occasion for unresolved disputes pulls down the church rather than builds it up. The godliness of heart and life can only be kept up and increased, by the exercise of faith in the truths and promises of God, through Yeshua. Then emphasizes  Yeshua is a follower’s hope; all our hopes of eternal life are built upon him, and Yeshua in us the hope of glory. 

I now recognize the three disciplines Paul pointed out as templates to showcase our walk as modern disciples, which need to be the demonstrations of our walk for all to see. Particularly those who have approached us through the casting of our nets as Fishers of Men:

1.  Be Temperate: Temperance must be continuous as well as complete. One moment of debauch is enough to undo the results of character for honesty, which years of upright living have toiled to earn. Beware then of giving place to the world or flesh at any point. 
2. Be Decided: To be among those who win as well as among those who run and finish, we must know where we are going and be confident we want to be there. 
3. Be in Earnest: In most followers, there is an enormous expenditure of thought and or feeling about sin; your spirit is probably more disbursed in the shape of shame, compunction, penitence, resolve, self-restraint, watchfulness, prayer. This needs to be brought directly to bear on some definite object, which will produce a significant effect.   

What the Holy Spirit is showing here is the parable of the sowing of the seeds which Yeshua shared. Matthew 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold a sower went forth to sow; v4. And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up: v5. Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up because they had no deepness of earth: v6. And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. v7. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: v8. But other fell into good ground and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. v9. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.  

The Holy Spirit reveals once our nets are cast into the darkness, a variety of different personalities are going to be drawn to the light, including those who follow evil (Job 1:6). This parable is one of many strong tools we are going to learn about and use as we go forward in our walk. It explains not all bought, because the light is going to continue in that light.

The commentator John Gill (23 Nov. 1697 – 14 Oct. 1771) We will encounter those who are careless, negligent, and inattentive, who hear without understanding, judgment, and affection. He explains from the Vulgate Latin and Munster’s Hebrew Gospel to mean the enemy (Devils) are around us in the air at all times. They are said to be “the power of the air.” Because of their ravenous and devouring nature, their swiftness to make mischief, and they’re flocking in multitudes, especially when the gospel is being preached to hinder its usefulness, as fowls do, where the seed is sown. Satan and his principalities and powers rove in the air. Come down on earth, and seek whom they may devour, and often mix themselves in religious assemblies. To do what mischief they can; see (Job 1:6) Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

Do not be naive to the truth. Our enemy is not shy. He knows Scripture possibly better than we do and possesses a passion for destroying us, our walk and the work we do for “The Word the Son of God.”  Folks welcome to the “WAR ON THE SAINTS” we’ve been in it all along possibly didn’t realize to what depth. So what are you going to do learn as a “Fisher of Men.” How to rescue those lost. Or as a “Beacon of Light” or step back and become a flicker in the distance, the choice is yours? Know this. You won’t have to chase, by being a living example, just be patient. Your light will do the work for you.

Recognize our spiritual battles to come are for souls and who the enemy is you are battling as well as their strengths and weaknesses. This knowledge becomes a tool in assisting, maintaining and deepening our walk as we continue to work out our Salvation as well as attending the front line of service by casting our nets (reflecting God’s light) into this darkening world.

Matthew Henry (Oct 18, 1662 – June 22, 1774) The nearer we draw to Yeshua, and the more we converse with him. The better acquainted we shall be with gospel mysteries, and that is, without a doubt, the best knowledge. A principle of grace in the heart is that which makes men of quick understanding in fear of the LORD, and in the faith of Yeshua.

And so in the meaning of parables and for want of that. There are those to whom this knowledge is not given.  And a man can receive nothing unless it is given him from above (John3:27). And be it remembered that God is a debtor to no man his grace is his own he gives or withholds it at pleasure (Romans 11:35). The difference must be resolved into God’s sovereignty, as before (Matthew 11:25,26).

What is being revealed is not only the different personalities to be encountered but what we need as armouring to enter into our battles, God’s wisdom, discernment, dedication, devotion and the ability to share God’s love and Laws as those who have become “Fisher’s of Men.” So when we draw our nets and having those coming out of the darkness (all things are drawn to bright light in the darkness) looking for understanding and guidance, we must be prepared to battle for their souls.

The reality is many will come few will hear and continue in the light, however as “Fishers of Men,” we will continue to cast our nets into the Darkness as our Lord has called and groomed us to do. As Yeshua did with the Samaritan woman at the well, look for that one soul to be saved from death. But like fishermen of the world recognize that not everything brought forward as we cast our nets are going to be kept, some were drawn because they were only curious about the light.   

John Gill (23 Nov. 1697 – 14 Oct. 1771) identifies some who we will encounter will not receive the light even though they appear as doing so:  There will be those who have slight convictions of sin, and awakenings of the natural conscience. Some little, light, and speculative notions of the word, in the understanding and judgment. Some flashes of natural affection for it, and outward expressions of delight and pleasure in it. Some show of grace, and a form of godliness, but no real heart work. Though they did not refuse to hearken to the Word externally. Did not put away the shoulder, or stop their ears, yet their hearts were still like an adamant stone.

Nothing but the mighty power of God, and His efficacious grace can break the rocky heart in pieces. Or give a heart of flesh, a sensible, soft, and flexible one, with which a man truly repents of sin, believes of Yeshua, and becomes subject to him.  

Matthew Henry (Oct 18, 1662 – June 22, 1774) gives us a deeper look at those previously spoken of by John Gill’s commentary. They have no root in themselves, no settled, fixed principles in their judgments, no firm resolution in their wills, nor any rooted habits in their affections; Nothing firm that will be either sap or the strength of their profession. Where there is not a principle, though there be a profession, we cannot expect perseverance. Times of trial comes, and then they come to nothing. When Tribulation and persecution arise because of the word, he is offended. It is a stumbling-block in his way which he cannot get over, and so he flies off, and this is all his profession comes to. Note: After a fair gale of opportunity, usually follows a storm of persecution, to try who have received the word in sincerity, and who have not.

Matthew Henry (Oct 18, 1662 – June 22, 1774) goes on to describe that part, which is the thorns that choke off the light. What are these choking thorns? Worldly cares are the great hindrances to our profiting by the word of God and our proficiency in religion. They eat up that vigour of a soul that should be spent on divine things divert us from duty. Distract us in duty, and do us most mischief of all afterward quenching the sparks of good affections. And bursting the cords of good resolutions, those who are careful and cumbered about many things commonly neglect the one thing needful. Observe it is not so much riches, as the deceitfulness of riches, that makes the mischief: now they cannot be said to be deceitful to us unless we put our confidence in them, and raise our expectations from them, and then it is that they choke the good seed.                                                                

Here we finally see what distinguishes good ground from the rest, was, in a word, fruitfulness. By this, followers are distinguished from hypocrites, that they bring forth fruits of righteousness, so shall ye be my disciples (John15:8). Saints, in this world, are not entirely free from the remains of sin but happily freed from the reign of it. The hearers represented by the good ground are, Intelligent listeners. They hear the word and understand it. They know not only the sense and meaning of the word but their own concern in it. They know it as a man of business who understands his business. God, in his word, deals with men as men, in a rational way, and gains possession of the will and affections by opening the understanding: whereas Satan, who is a thief and a robber, comes not in by that door, but climbeth up another way. 

Fruitful hearers, which is evidence of their excellent understanding which also beareth fruit. The fruit is to every seed its own body, a substantial product in the heart and life, agreeable to the seed of the word received. We then bear fruit when we practice according to the word when the temper of our minds and the tenor of our lives are conformable to the gospel we have received, and we do as we are taught. Some will bear hundred-fold sixty-fold and thirty-fold, we are not all alike; some are different levels of faith and grace as they progress working out their Salvation.  

CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert  

Praise the Lord for all things great, which he has brought to us as humble servants. I recognize that there is a massive movement Yehwah is causing to happen currently. I give thanks and am rejoicing as I have chosen to be a part of this movement. And even though I am a part of His great Army of Disciples as “Fishers of Men” receiving a heart like Yeshua to look for that one soul, I can help save from death. I recognize he has placed a burning desire to let his light reflect through me and to have heard his call “Follow Me.” I see this anointing is for everyone who desires to draw closer to Yeshua through a personal relationship. What I do recognize and state this walk will not appeal to everybody. However, it is available to everyone desiring to become a Beacon. Spiritual Warfare must never be feared as truly it is a part of our walk-in Salvation under Grace, whether we are just working out our own Salvation or being a Beacon recognize it for what it really is Worldliness. Temptations, Lustful desires, self-centeredness, Self Importance and the list goes on and on and attacks us constantly.  Something I must share when you walk in darkness, Satan doesn’t know you or care about you because he has you already.

Think about this when you come to Yeshua walk in His light become an obedient servant and Beacon because your light has become brighter, visible and an example of God’s love. That’s when he knows you. That’s when you become a threat to him. That is when Satan develops an attack plan to cause you to stumble and fall and even cause your death. One thing I know, Satan knows every word of the Bible, and as a legalist knows how to use them as weapons, they are called curses, and he will use them if you give him the opportunity to.

Heavenly Father, I give thanks to you, Father, for all blessings and teachings you have brought to us through the Holy Spirit. Father, I would ask that you build a hedge of protection around those who are reflecting your light into the world as Fishers of Men. Bring to them your wisdom and discernment strengthen them, Lord, fill them with your Love build walls of protection around them Father that they may continue doing your excellent work and reflecting your light into this world. This I pray in the name of YESHUA Amen and Amen  

Again please remember this is just a humble servant doing the bidding of the LORD I pray you have a safe journey forward. Walk-in God’s love and peace and may the “CASTING OF YOUR NET” be fruitful, remember He is always with you if you hold His love in your heart forever.

As my journey leads me along the narrow path through this life a sense of peace has come over me, and I now recognize I’m not alone. My stride is sure, demonstrating confidence but not an arrogant strut. It shows determination supported by knowledge, wisdom, and discernment received from the Holy Spirit to arrive at the destination of Eternal Life and peace. John 14:26

My question, will I be an essential companion as I journey? Then I pondered, am I going to be worthy of travelling with this companion? I know there are only a few who will recognize who my companion is, and why He continues being at my side, even though I am a constant challenge to Him. What comes to mind is a quote from my latest article “GET BEHIND ME SATAN” published June 14, 2018, “What many don’t realize the disciples committed many mistakes and were guilty of weaknesses, they were defective in their duty.

They were very dull and forgetful. And often blundered. Yet their master passes all by and forgets it, he does not upbraid them with their infirmities, but gives them this memorable testimonial, “You are they who have continued with me.” Thus does he praise at parting, to show how willing he is to make the best of those whose hearts he knows to be upright with him.”

I now understand why the peacefulness is in my life, even though I’m surrounded by turmoil, unrest, and despair, among those I’m reaching out too. What comes to me is, Yeshua, as my companion is revealing how to be as He is, as an unseen companion. Who has lit the way to freedom, then align’s himself behind the scenes as a spiritual mentor and ongoing guide, through the Holy Spirit, as a messenger to those journeying through life, as Pilgrims, on the narrow path? “Thus does he praise at parting, to show how willing he is to make the best of those whose hearts he knows to be upright with him.”

This article will introduce and reveal as a sower of God’s word, love, and compassion, we the “Modern Day Disciples” can be an ongoing “shepherd” as [is] Yeshua our unseen “companion” always there always ready.

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Father in heaven hear my prayers as I lay your servants before your throne. I ask you, Lord, as an unseen companion, to raise your children up when they might stumble and fall. To Be there as our Father when times are filled with turmoil, but more than anything Lord show your children the depth of your love and compassion as you journey with them. In little ways, Father let them, sense or feel your presence as they go forward in your name searching for that one lost soul.

So they might be filled with the confidence they are covered and blessed. Bring them before your throne, Lord, so they might witness your reflection and recognize what a silent companion is to them, a shepherd tending his flock. We pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

The Holy Spirit brought me to John 10 to understand what my silent companion is offering and if I chose to follow in His footsteps, and what would be expected of me to offer as a silent companion. In John10 Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) explains how Yeshua reveals His walk, for those who desire to follow in His footsteps. “Our Lord laid not his life down for his doctrine, but for his sheep.” He described the gracious disposition and happy state of his sheep; they heard and believed his word, followed him as his faithful disciples, and none of them should perish; for the Son and the Father were one. Thus he was able to defend his sheep against all their enemies, which proves that he claimed Divine power and perfection equally with the Father.

No weapon formed against our Lord Yeshua shall prosper. He escaped, not because he was afraid to suffer, but because his hour has not come. And He who knew how to deliver himself knows how to deliver the godly out of their temptations, and to make a way for them to escape.

Here is a parable or similitude, from the customs of the East, in the management of sheep. Men, as creatures depending on their Creator, are called the sheep of his pasture. The Assembly of God in the world is as a sheep-fold, exposed to deceivers and persecutors. The great Shepherd of the sheep knows all that is his, guards them by his providence, guides them by his Spirit and word, and goes before them, as the Eastern shepherds went before their sheep, to set them in the way of his steps. Shepherds must serve the sheep in their spiritual concerns. The Spirit of Christ will set before them an open door. The sheep of Yeshua will observe their Shepherd, and be cautious and shy of strangers, who would draw them from faith in him to fancies about him. Many who hear the words of Yeshua, do not understand it, because they can not. But we shall find one scripture expounding another, and the blessed Spirit making known the blessed Saviour. Yeshua is the Door. And what greater security has the Assembly of God than that Yeshua is between it and all its enemies? He is a door open for passage and communication. Here are plain directions how to come into the fold; we must come in by Yeshua. By faith in him as the great Mediator between God and man. Also, we have precious promises to those that observe this direction. Yeshua has all that care of his Assembly, and every believer, which a good shepherd has of his flock; and he expects the Assembly, and every believer, to wait on him, and to keep in his pasture.

Adam Clarke (1760 -1832) through his comments on John10:9 reveals what our duty as a silent companion will appear as shepherds. “Go in and out- This phrase, in the style of the Hebrews, points out all the actions of a man’s life, and the liberty he has of acting, or not acting. A good shepherd conducts his flock to the fields where good pasturage is to be found, watches over them while there, and brings them back again and secures them in the fold. So he that is taught and called of God feeds the flock with those truths of his word of grace which nourish them unto eternal life, and God blesses together both the shepherd and the sheep, so that going out and coming in they find pasture. Every occurrence is made useful to them, and all things work together for their good. 

The modern-day heirlings, posing as pastors, ought to remember that whoever boasts of being the way of salvation, and the gate of heaven, shows himself to be a thief and an impostor. And though few have arrived at this degree of folly, yet there are many who rely too much upon their own talents, eloquence, and labours, as if the salvation of the sheep depend necessarily thereon.

In which respect they are always robbers since they rob the grace of Yeshua of the glory of saving the sheep. God often puts such hirelings to shame, by not opening the hearts of the people to receive their word. While he blesses those who are humble, in causing them to be heard with attention and accompanying their preaching with an unction which converts and saves souls. Let every man know that in this respect his sufficiency and success are of the Lord.

Heavenly Father in all humbleness we bow before your throne filled with overwhelming gratitude for your patient teaching. Thank you, Lord, for raising us to a new level of discernment, love, and compassion. Thank you, Father, for revealing our value and worth to those who have been rescued into your flock and thank you for placing your guiding hand on us to nurture them forward as a silent companion [shepherd] having the spirit of your Son Yeshua for us to guide and nurture those in the flock as silent companions. Praise God, for us having some months ago heard God’s call, to return to His law. Too sit down and do an assessment of our walk and relationship with His Son Yeshua. A young woman queried, “Why do you teach, following Yeshua, as being so disciplined? Isn’t our walk with the Lord to be in peace and love-filled with joy and harmony not under the law, but in Salvation.

Here, we are learning how to be, as Yeshua is with us, a silent companion. How your words of prayer, in support of your newly found convert, will be answered as a blessing for both. To recognize, as you take on the role of a silent companion (shepherd); as a part of our Lord’s main flock, you’re being tended to by your silent companion Yeshua through the Holy Spirit (John 14:26), as you continue forward in your personal journey? We are being taught and guided how to endure and overcome the same hardships Yeshua faced as he proceeded to tend to His flock. We will learn our journey is filled with many potholes and pitfalls, which the silent companion guides us through as a shepherd.

You will learn what the joys are, and how to recognize them as being a part of your surroundings and walk, through the peace found in the one, you are walking with being a silent companion to them. Keep in mind the Holy Spirit revealed in the eyes of our Lord Yeshua, our salvation would be meaningless unless it is being shared.

Get to know your peace, know where it came from and how we received it John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”  Find the strength in it, as your leading inspiration to serve.

Because you will find it usually is, a gentle nudge from Yeshua, letting you know he’s there covering your back, as your Silent Companion.  May our Father abundantly fill your plates. God’s blessings Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hands. Psalm 149:6 

This picture represents the storm our stand and walks will present, but endure. As we know being a part of God’s, flock, Yeshua is with us as a silent companion, and as well the beacon of light which shines through us defeating darkness. “So we may boldly say, The Lord is my companion, and I will not fear what man shall say or do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:6)  Blessings to all and may you be filled with Yeshua’s peace, love, compassion, discernment and wisdom.

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

The Holy Spirit was providing information, for the next article, which you may have noticed there is always a line or comment in the previous article, revealing the topic of the future article. I pray this article, through the information it is about to provide, sheds a brighter light on your walk as it has for mine. 

We are like the soldiers of old, being shown smaller details as warriors who are important and will season us for upcoming battles and if missed or not understood can or will create unsavoury situations in those battles. But discerned will anchor or place us on a solid foundation that assures victory. 

I see this article taking us deeper into the mysteries of God’s domain and drawing us closer to becoming like the image of Yeshua. Something like a soldier sitting in preparation contemplating his strengths recognizing his weaknesses and as well his level of capability. One thing about this journey it’s safe, however not without moments where we must always be alert of our surroundings going forward.  

I pray this article, will bring all who read it to a junction, where we recognize what our journey is leading us to, who is calling us, and why He wants us to follow certain paths while completing our missions. I offer this article to all not as a warning, but as information, of where our Father is leading us and to what decision He is going to ask of us in His service. God’s Blessings be upon all.

Heavenly Father Hear my petition, as I place it before your throne, asking to bring upon those now fully armoured, instructed and fully dedicated to your service. Through the Holy Spirit reveal unto to them Father your gifts reserved for the elect. So they may once be received willingly and share them, Father, with those they will attract with your light as Beacons out of the darkness as Fisher’s of Men. Bring unto them Father your promises through service Lord. Place upon them Father discernment, understanding and especially your covering of protection. I pray this in the name of Yeshua.  Amen and Amen.

Life-changing spiritual firsts were to occur for the Apostles as they spent the next three years receiving tutoring under Yeshua’s guidance. It appears what has been happening in our lives spiritually over the past months is a preparation of a solid foundation for the Lord to build upon. Like the Apostles introducing life-changing spiritual firsts while deepening and developing our faith as we continue our journey with Him.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) explains why in his commentary in 2Peter1: 1- 4 “Knowledge of God and faith in Him are the channel whereby all spiritual supports and comforts are conveyed to us. But then we must own and acknowledge God as the author of our effectual calling, for so he is here described. Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” 

“Ok,” folks, we have our armour have been shown how to use it in a defensive manner as well as an offensive weapon. Two things have occurred in the past months whether we are just working out our Salvation or accepting the mantel of “Fishers of Men,” the bottom line is God has put us on a sound basis for further instructions. What I am being led by the Holy Spirit is to reveal the depth of our effectiveness as Spiritual Warriors individually. However, the Holy Spirit is showing we must learn to become living illustrations not only as Soldiers for Yeshua but as Beacons. As living examples in the service of Christ as the way to the highest honor, (John12:26). Recognizing what our Father is willing to bestow upon us which Peter describes in 1Peter 5:3 “Neither as being lords over “God’s” heritage, but being examples to the flock.“v4.”And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” 

Being shown that as we are personally victorious in defeating Satan our walk if in sincere service to Yeshua will reflect the beauty of that service. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates in 2Peter 1:3-4 “How high honour is it to be the servants of this Master!” “This is what we cannot, without sin be ashamed of, to triumph in being Yeshua’s servant is very proper for those who are engaging others to enter into or abide in the service of Yeshua.” 

The Holy Spirit is showing the actual position in God’s eyes those who accept these leadings and teachings will be seen as Yeshua’s Elect (1Peter 1:1). 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) comments on Peter’s teachings (1Peter 1:1). “According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and here as having obtained precious faith in our Lord Yeshua for the faith here mentioned is vastly different from the false faith of the heretic, and the feigned faith of the hypocrite, and the fruitless faith of the formal professor, how Orthodox soever he is. It is the faith of God’s elect (Titus1:1), wrought by the Spirit of God in effectual calling.”

 Having the foreknowledge now of what our Father has for us. How easy is it now having full Armor and knowledge of how to use it, to go into battle as a fervent warrior, without fear, knowing we possess the most powerful weapon there is “ Precious Faith“? 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) points out “True saving faith is a precious grace, and that not only as it is very uncommon, very scarce, even in the visible church, a minimal number of true believers among a multitude of visible professors (Matt.22:14) but true faith is very excellent and of very great use and advantage to those who have it.“

The example I hold close to heart and stand on is in John 14:13 the Lord said: “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, the Father may be glorified in the Son.” I take this promise into every battle and hold it fast in my heart without any doubt Yeshua will keep His promise. I recognize “Precious faith” as one of my most effective weapons against my body’s lustful ways and especially against Satan. 

My eyes through the discernment and understanding now gained not only as a Soldier of Yeshua or a “Fisher of Men” or as a Beacon I realize grace and peace are multiplied through the knowledge of God and Yeshua. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) points out “Knowledge of God and faith in him are the channel whereby all spiritual supports and comforts are conveyed to us; but then we must own and acknowledge God as the author of our effectual calling, for so he is here described. Him that has called us to glory and virtue. It is the glory of God’s power to convert sinners; this is the power and glory of God which are seen and experienced in his sanctuary (Psalms 63:2); this power or virtue is to be extolled by all that are called out of darkness into marvellous light (1Peter2:9). “ 

Having been shown saving Faith can be scarce, the following admonitions and urgings by the Holy Spirit now become even more valuable as they are revealed one by one. My belief God is opening doors and taking us into deeper levels of understanding and discernment through the Holy Spirit. Through promises is bringing us closer to Him that we may walk in his image by offering additional strengths as part of the deepening of that personal walk as living examples. He is showing how to escape lust, as well as adding virtue (+morality) to our “Faith.” Then to our virtue knowledge (+wisdom), then to knowledge temperance (+restraint), and to temperance,  patience (+tolerance), and is not done yet by adding to patience godliness (+devotion), then God calls us to add brotherly kindness (+mercy) to the godliness, which he concludes by asking us to have charity (+goodwill to all). (2Peter 1:5-7)

Apostle Peter relates that if we accept these gifts from God and maintain them without a doubt and exercising them causing strengthening in our soul, we will find ourselves never lacking success and being fruitful in our battles knowing Yeshua is always present with us. In 2Peter. 1:8 “For if these things are in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua. “ 

John Gill (1697 – 1771) commentary describes what these gifts provide: “they are not merely temporal ones, nor are they conditional and legal; but as they relate to spiritual and eternal, to irreversible and unchangeable. And they answer great ends and purposes, the glory of God, and the everlasting good and happiness of his people. Therefore must be “precious,” of more value and worth than thousands of gold and silver, and to be rejoiced at more than at the finding of a great spoil, being every way suited to the cases of God’s people, which will never fail. The end of giving them is that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature; not essentially, or of the essence of God, so as to be deified, this is impossible, for the nature, perfections, and glory of God, are incommunicable to creatures. Nor hypostatically and personally, so as the human nature of Christ, in union with the Son of God, is a partaker of the divine nature in him. But by way of resemblance and likeness, the new man or principle of grace, being formed in the heart in regeneration, after the image of God. And bearing a resemblance to the image of His Son, and this is styled, Christ formed in the heart, into which image and likeness the saints are more and more changed. From glory to glory, through the application of the Gospel, and the promises of it. By which they have such sights of Christ as do transform them, and assimilate them to him, and which resemblance will be perfected hereafter when they shall be entirely like him and see him as he is. “

However, Peter warns in v9: But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten being purged from his old sins. John Gill (1697 – 1771) further comments: “Having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust: not the corruption and depravity of nature, which is never escaped by any, nor got rid of so long as the saints are in the world. But the corrupt manners of the world, or those corruptions and vices which, are prevalent in the world, and under the power and dominion of which the world lies. Particularly the sins of uncleanness, adultery, incest, sodomy, and such as filthy and unnatural lusts, which abounded in the world, and among some that called themselves Christians. Now the Gospel, and the precious promises, being graciously bestowed and powerfully applied. Have an influence on the purity of heart and conversation, and teach men to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly. Such is the powerful effects of Gospel promises, under divine influence, as to make men inwardly partakers of the divine nature, and outwardly to abstain from and avoid the prevailing corruptions and vices of the times. “   

 Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) comments on 2Peter 1:5 “In these words, the Apostle comes to the chief thing intended in this epistle to excite and engage them to advance in grace and holiness, they having already obtained precious faith, and been made partakers of the divine nature. This is an excellent beginning, but it is not to be rested in as if we were already perfect. The Apostle had prayed that grace and peace might be multiplied to them, and now he exhorts them to press forward for obtaining more grace.“

Isn’t it amazing in a short period of time in your life if you choose to hear and heed can change from being a shallow warrior for Yeshua to one filled with discernment understanding and grace all based on your Faith? Not that I did not understand before, but now it has a deeper meaning to me as I am hoping the Lord is using me like that mustard seed he describes in Mark 4:30 “And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare? So as an analogy, how do we compare the least of his subjects desiring to flourish under his tutoring to become the base for greater numbers to come to Him through their work? I believe gives us an answer through his parable in Mark4:31 “It is like a grain of mustard seed, which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth; v32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.“

We know great gifts are awaiting us through acceptance of faith and working to increase the depth of our faith. My newly found discernment and understanding of this parable are telling me, we can be the least of those within God’s Kingdom at this time. However, those modern-day disciples who actually accept the Lord’s call to follow Him like the Apostles of old will be tutored through the Holy Spirit in God’s mysteries. What I am discerning is during their period of mentoring the Apostles faith was deepened as it will be for the Holy Spirit to work with us. It was revealed while Yeshua walked on earth he was placed below the angels as a created man yet possessed the powers of God the Father. Now I believe this revelation is showing those gifts and the mysteries attached to them which were bestowed on the early disciples are still available to those with deep discerning precious faith today. 

CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, receive our humble prayers as we present ourselves before your throne. We thank you, Father, for the gifts of knowledge, discernment, wisdom, virtue, patience, godliness, temperance, devotion and goodwill to all men. We recognize these as the foundation of our walk as disciples, Fisher’s of Men and bright Beacons shining into the darkness of the world. We thank you, Father, for your guidance and continued support as we go forward. We pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen  

Remember, these messages are given by a humble servant obedient 

unto our Lord Yeshua as a Watchman. This I pray for all. ”Our Heavenly Father brings us to the river which bringeth forth fruit so we may partake of its sustenance and be filled spiritually with nurturing wisdom, and humble dedication in service to Yeshua. “Blessings to All.” As you go forward in peace, knowledge, and strength.

As “Modern Day Disciples,” our walk, faith, and discernment like the early “Apostles” have been deepened, we are being drawn into a very deep personal relationship with Yeshua. Having been shown there will be moments of turmoil which like Peter will frighten us as we may not entirely understand and because of our relationship with our Lord will call out for his assistance when we believe we are failing not realizing we have in our spirit doubted what we have received as truth.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) brings to light a reflection we need to ponder on in his commentary. “Special supports are promised and are to be expected, but only in spiritual pursuits; nor can we ever come to Yeshua, unless we are upheld by his power. Yeshua bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace. When we look off from Yeshua and look at the greatness of opposing difficulties, we shall begin to fall; but when we call to him, he will stretch out his arm, and save us. Yeshua is the great Saviour; those who would be saved, must come to him, and cry to him, for salvation; we are never brought to this, till we find ourselves sinking: the sense of need drives us to him. He rebuked Peter. Could we but believe more, we should suffer less. The weakness of faith and the prevailing of our doubts displease our Lord, for there is no good reason why Yeshua’s disciples should be of a doubtful mind. Even on a stormy day, he is to them a very present help. None but the world’s Creator could multiply the loaves, none but its Governor could tread upon the waters of the sea: the disciples yield to the evidence, and confess their faith. They were suitably affected and worshipped, Yeshua. He that comes to God must believe, and he that believes in God will come (Hebrews 11:6.)”

Full satisfaction is reserved for the future state. Your joys shall be constant. God not only works in them a gracious desire for these pleasures but by his Spirit fills your souls with joy and peace in believing. He quickens whom he will; and whoever will, may come, and take from him of the waters of life freely. May we know, and love, and uprightly serve the Lord; then no proud enemy, on earth or from hell, shall separate us from his love. Faith calleth things that are not, as though they were. It carries us forward to the end of time; it shows us the Lord, on his throne of judgment; the empire of sin fallen to rise no more.

“All things are in your control heavenly Father, including our walk to eternal life with you. We ask Lord for you to reveal through the Holy Spirit how to appropriately share our gift with those trapped in the darkness of this world. We pray for Father a deep discernment and understanding of how to use your gifts to be the most effective example of reflecting your light love and compassion to them. Deepen our enthusiasm and determination to withstand the wiles of the enemy preventing us from approaching them. Fill us with determination to expel our doubts and fears. We give thanks to you Lord and pray this in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen,”

Is it not curious how we hold ourselves back from utilizing the wondrous gifts which have been offered. When I think about how many who surround me declaring their love and desire to serve and be with our Saviour Yeshua. Yet suffer shortcomings in their walk daily when they should be walking in peace and joy praising God for His gifts while using and sharing them. What was shown in “THERE CAN BE NO TRUE PEACE WITHOUT GRACE” published Jan 20, 2020,” For our Salvation to have any value in God’s eyes, it must be shared.” Is now revealing where some of our weaknesses are. This article is going to introduce us on how to recognize we are in God’s Hands and why we should not have doubt in our lives. We are going to find how Yeshua while walking in this world was able through his faith, and without doubt, was through His Father performing all His miracles. (John 8:54).

Yeshua through the Holy Spirit is allowing us to look deep into our commitment to see our weaknesses and fears. He is going to allow us to follow our choices until we recognize our failing ways and will then lift us up so we might truly witness His power that we may obtain a greater level of acceptance thus removing doubt from our being and walk. (Acts 10:38) “How God anointed Yeshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.”  

Our past articles I believe, have, lead us to this position in our walks. Yeshua called Peter to come to him and he was walking on water until he took his eyes off of Him. After rescuing Peter Yeshua pointed out why he failed,  ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’  (Matthew 29 – 31). In that quick statement to Peter, Yeshua is identifying with us why we are not able to utilize all of God’s gifts. It is a lack of faith and doubt, along with the acceptance of our enemies lies that the time for Healings and Miracles has passed.

I believe Peter in Acts 10:34 dispells this lie by saying “Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.  So, in my humble opinion “for what it is worth,” do not believe God has stopped bestowing the Gifts received at Pentecost through the Baptism of “The Holy Ghost.” and here is why! When we read the following (Acts 10:42) ” And he commanded us to preach unto the people and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. v.43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins, v.44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard the word. v.45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. v.46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, v.47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  

Well I, know there will be those who will question my position which is their right. However, I cannot nor will not set aside this evidence showing as Yeshua states      ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’  (Matthew 29 – 31). I am calling all those walking as “Modern Day Apostles” to recognize what Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) revealed “Yeshua bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace.” 

This article “THE COMFORTING HAND OF GOD” for me relates where I am with God, and there should be no “DOUBT” in my walk which will affect my performance as His obedient servant. Meaning, and remember, it is up to God who he bestows His heavenly gifts too, not as a respecter of men, but as the omnipotent Father who knows the true position of a believer’s heart, faith and journey.

So it now becomes clear why we were lead to analyze our walk through the past article “ARE YOU KNOWN BY YOUR FRUITS” published Jan.14, 2020? Here, it is becoming clear how God is leading us to follow His Son’s footsteps and those of the early Apostles. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) explained it “Christ came to teach us, not only what we are to know and believe, but what we are to do. Not only toward God but toward men, not only toward those of our party but toward all men.” The Holy Ghost fell upon others after they were baptized, to confirm them in the faith; but upon these Gentiles, before they were baptized, to show that God does not confine himself to outward signs. The Holy Ghost fell upon those who were neither circumcised nor baptized; it is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. They magnified God and spake of Christ and the benefits of redemption. Whatever gift we are endued with, we ought to honour God with it. The believing Jews who were present were astonished that the gift of the Holy Ghost was poured out upon the Gentiles also.

By mistaken notions of things, we make difficult for ourselves as to the methods of Divine providence and grace. As they were undeniably baptized with the Holy Ghost, Peter concluded they were not to be refused the baptism of water, and the ordinance was administered. The argument is conclusive; can we deny the sign to those who have received the things signified? Those who have some acquaintance with Christ, cannot but desire more. Even those who have received the Holy Ghost must see their need of daily learning more of the truth. Peter then commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.

I truly believe the following comments quoted here best describes how the early assemblies were being established through the devotion of the Apostle Peter as described in the Expositor’s Bible Commentary. Our lives may be very ordinary and commonplace, the events may succeed one another in the most matter-of-fact style. There may seem in them nothing at all worth the attention of a Divine Ruler, yet those ordinary lives are just as much planned and guided by supernatural wisdom as the careers of men concerning whom all the world is talking. Only let us take care to follow Peter’s example. He yielded himself completely to the Divine guidance, trusted himself completely to the Divine love and wisdom, and then found in such trust not only life and safety but what is far better, perfect peace and sweetest calm.

There are men never tired of running from one committee to another, and never weary of seeing their names in the morning papers. They count they have been busily and usefully employed if their names are perpetually appearing in newspaper reports as speaking, or at any rate being present, at innumerable meetings, leaving themselves no time for that quiet meditation whereby Peter gained the closest communion with heaven.

Pure and undefiled religion is sometimes found where we least expect it. Wherever the fear of God rules in the heart, it will appear both in works of charity and of piety, neither will excuse from the other. Doubtless, Cornelius had true faith in God’s word, as far as he understood it, though not as yet clear faith in Yeshua. This was the work of the Spirit of God, through the mediation of Yeshua, even before Cornelius knew him, as is the case with us all when we, who before were dead in sin, are made alive. Through Yeshua also his prayers and alms were accepted, which otherwise would have been rejected. Without dispute or delay, Cornelius was obedient to the heavenly vision. In the affairs of our souls, let us not lose time.

Like Peter as “Modern Day Disciples, “we should follow his leadership, Peter was successful in opening the door of faith for many. Because he prepared himself for doing the Divine work by the discipline of meditation, deliberation, and prayer with his Risen Lord. Here I will remind you of the template I revealed at the start of the article. We must recognize a period of pause, repose, and quietness should proceed with a new onward movement of development and of action.

Having, been shown about passivity and how to deal with it, the Holy Spirit is now bringing us to a new level of discernment and decision-making. We will be brought to a position that is going to not only challenge the depth of our walk but as well our profession of Faith. Peter in the last article “NOW THE WORK BEGINS” where he is speaking about faith and the many different levels of those professing faith clearly show’s many are trying to fool God. 

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) comments on Peter’s teachings (1Peter 1:1). “According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and here as having obtained precious faith in our Lord Yeshua for the faith here mentioned is vastly different from the false faith of the heretic, and the feigned faith of the hypocrite, and the fruitless faith of the formal professor, how Orthodox soever he is. It is the faith of God’s elect (Titus1:1), wrought by the Spirit of God in effectual calling.” 

I’m now cautioning those about to partake in this article initially you will be challenged by what you’re about to be shown. However, understand our Lord speaks only the truth and what is being revealed by the Holy Spirit we all need to see, recognize, accept, and work with. These articles are being furnished for all to read as warnings from a “WATCHMAN” who has been shown there is trouble in the flock which needs tending to, and those hearing our “Father’s” call to return to His teachings will be shown what it is, who is affected, and how to use their free will to repair it.  (Ezekiel 3:17 – 21)

Bring upon them your spirit of understanding, loose onto them Father a spiritual lifting of the veils covering their eyes so they can see the truth. Bring forward the spirit of discernment that their minds will be clear and receiving of your truth through the Holy Spirit as he reveals your Truth. This I pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen. 

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert 

Yeshua was sharing with his disciples, I believe, possibly one of the most difficult lessons they may have had to face. Matthew 19:23 -26 Then said Yeshua unto his disciples, verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. v24. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. v25. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? v26. But Yeshua beheld them, and said unto them, With men, this is impossible but with God all things are possible.

Matthew Henry ( 1662 – 1774) gives a rendition of why it is difficult for a rich man to be a good Christian, and to be saved to enter into the kingdom of heaven, either here or hereafter. The way to heaven is to all a narrow way, and the gate that leads into it, a strait gate but it is particularly so to rich people. More duties are expected from them than from others, which they can hardly do and more sins do easily beset them, which they can hardly avoid. Rich people have great temptations to resist, and such as are very insinuating it is hard not to be charmed with a smiling world very hard, when we are filled with these hid treasures, not to take up with them for a portion. It must be a great measure of divine grace that will enable a man to break through these difficulties.

So, we now have a reason explained which gives us the ground work as soldiers to lay out a plan of how we are going to approach this battle as a family. You see I believe we are all a part of the family no matter our worldly position like the Lord says with God all things are possible. So let’s look for some resources we can use as a foundation to build on keeping in mind all in the family must daily be working out our salvation. But now we know it may be a bit more difficult for some, however they are still a part of the family needing our support.  

Here, I’m turning to who I believe is a seasoned warrior and can shed some light on this picture of who we are in our spiritual regeneration. Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 -1927) in her book “WAR ON THE SAINTS” on pages 209 & 210 shares some thought-provoking facts of how The “NATURAL” Verses The “SPIRITUAL Man. she wrote At first the regenerated man is but a “babe in Christ,” manifesting many of the characteristics of the natural man in jealousy, strife, etc (1Cor.3:1-4) until he apprehends the need of a fuller reception of the Holy Spirit to dwell in the regenerated spirit as His sanctuary. The unregenerate man is wholly dominated by soul and body. The regenerate man has his spirit (1) quickened, and (2) indwelt by the Holy Spirit, yet may be governed by soul and body because his spirit is compressed and bound. The Spiritual man has his spirit liberated from bondage to the soul (Heb. 4: 12) to be the organ of the Holy Spirit in mind and body.

“It is then that, by the Holy Spirit’s power, his volition is brought into harmony with God in all His laws and purposes, and the whole outer man into self-control. Thus it is written “The fruit of the Spirit… is self-control. (Gal. 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law). It is not only love,joy, peace, long-suffering, and gentleness, manifested through the channel of the soul –the personality — but in a true dominion over the world of himself, (1) every thought brought into captivity, in the same obedience to the will of the Father as was manifested in Yeshua (2Cor. 10:5 Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Yeshua). (2) His spirit “ruled” also from the chamber of the will, so that he is of a “cool spirit” and can “keep back” or utter at his will what is in his spirit as well as what is in his mind, (Prov. 17:27) and (3) his body so obedient to the helm of the will, that it is a disciplined and alert instrument to be handled intelligently as a vehicle for service, and not any longer master of the man, or the mere tool of Satan and unruly desires.”

We are going to move onto Hebrews 6 1-8 where Matthew Henry (1662 – 1771) asks “why did Paul set strong meat before the Hebrews, when he knew they were but babes? Answer Though some of them were but weak, yet others of them had gained more strength and they must be provided for suitably. And as those who are grown Christians must be willing to hear the plainest truths preached for the sake of the weak, so the weak must be willing to hear the more difficult and mysterious truths preached for the sake of those who are strong. He hoped they would be growing in their spiritual strength and stature, and so be able to digest stronger meat.” 

The premise of Paul’s, letter to the Hebrews was to persuade and press the believing Hebrews to a constant adherence to the Christian faith, and perseverance in it, notwithstanding all the sufferings they might meet with in so doing. The comparison I make here is to the initial reference that it is difficult for the Rich to walk as Christians. I believe with the tools and knowledge being provided that statement would only be true due to individual choice to succumb to the temptations. I also believe that those who are successful because of their individual intellect would if given proper leadership have no difficulty in following Yeshua.  

Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 – 1927) adds to our weapons and plan of attack remember Peter talked about all the different levels of faith being demonstrated. Ms. Penn Lewis draws our attention to use our free will and faith combination. She states the following on pg 211 – 212 in “WAR ON THE SAINTS”  In the hour of his regeneration God gives to man the decisive liberty of will to rule over himself, as he walks in fellowship with God. And by this restoration of a will free to act in choosing for God, SATAN LOSES HIS POWER. Satan is the god of this world, and he rules the world through the will of men enslaved by, him, enslaved not only directly, but indirectly, by inciting men to enslave one another and to covet the power of “influence,” whereas they should work with God to restore to every man the freedom of his own personal volition, and the power of choice to do right because it is right, obtained for them at Calvary. 

What I’m recognizing at this point is just how important having the proper understanding of what it is Yeshua was speaking about in the parable of rich men. As like most my mind jumped to all the material things of the world. Specifically, that is only part of what Yeshua wants us to see the second part of this information is spiritual as it involves all those who are following the Lord and have received his spiritual gifts.  Once we receive the gifts from Yeshua it places us in the category of being a rich man spiritually and in the eyes of Satan as such a special target. because as stated more is expected of the rich whether material or spiritual. We are shown In James 2:3 – 5 how easy it is to fall into Satan’s trap v3. And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, sit thou here in a good place, and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool. v4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? v5. Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?  

These verses show the makeup of God’s family and how Satan can and does divide us by planting sinful divisive thoughts (2Cor:10:4-5) where we despise the poor causing many to forget the poor are spiritually rich and heirs of the kingdom. I stated in the beginning of this article as a family in Yeshua we were going to obtain as many weapons as we can to do battle against the enemy placing temptations before the rich (2Cor 10:3-4).  I believe the Holy Spirit has brought us information who the rich Yeshua is speaking about in the parable, those in the world who are blessed materially and those in the world who are poor but blessed Spiritually and made heirs to the kingdom.  

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) gives us a look at who we would become as a part of Yeshua’s family falling for Satan’s subtle temptations. Consider how often riches lead to vice and mischief, and what great reproaches are thrown upon God and religion, by men of wealth, power, and worldly greatness; and it will make this sin appear very sinful and foolish. The scripture gives us a law, to love our neighbour as ourselves. This is a royal law, it comes from the King of kings; and if Christians act unjustly, they are convicted by the law as transgressors. This shows the happiness of those that are in Yeshua. We may serve him without slavish fear. God’s restraints are not a bondage, but our own corruptions are so. 

Our search for more weapons and details to add to our plan of attack and defence bring us to 2 Timothy 2: 1 – 7  where Paul was encouraging Timothy, “the first of the weapons we are going to find,“ to constancy and perseverance in his work. Here is a major weapon being identified “be strong in the grace that is in Yeshua. (2Timothy 2:1) Paul then advises Timothy those who have work to do for God must stir up themselves to do it, and strengthen themselves for it. Being strong in the grace that is in Yeshua may be understood in opposition to the weakness of grace. Where there is the truth of grace there must be a labouring after the strength of grace. As our trials increase, we have need to grow stronger and stronger in that which is good; our faith stronger, our resolution stronger, our love to God and Yeshua stronger.  

We were initially warned those who are perceived as prosperous more is expected of them this was first applied to worldly prosperity and through our definition, spiritual prosperity falls in that area as well. Our enemy Satan has by now realized how strong the family is becoming and is going to shift his attack into a higher level of deceptions, temptations and subtleties. Paul wrote about this in Romans 16:18 and John Gill (1697 – 1771) gives us a very clear picture of what form the new attacks will take. And by good words, and fair speeches, deceive the hearts of the simple, they were deceivers; they lay in wait to deceive, made use of the hidden things of dishonesty, walked in craftiness, and handled the word of God deceitfully, and therefore to be marked and avoided: they deceived “the simple”, harmless, and innocent, that thinks no evil, nor are aware of any; who have a little understanding of things; persons of weak minds, easy to be imposed upon; very credulous, ready to believe every word, so the simple man does, as Solomon says, Proverbs 14:15 and such teachers choose to tamper with, and make their attacks upon, being able to gain upon them the most easily, as their father the devil, the old serpent, did, when he first assailed human nature: the “hearts” of these they deceive; they work upon their affections, blind their understandings, impose on their judgments, and corrupt their minds from the simplicity that is in Yeshua: and this they do “by good words and fair speeches.”

Mr Gill has given a description of how the attacks will take place, I’m turning to Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) to describe what weapons we need to use in this battle.  To be wise unto that which is good, that is, to be skillful and intelligent in the truths and ways of God. “Be wise to try the spirits, to prove all things, and then to hold fast that only which is good.” There is need of a great deal of wisdom in our adherence to good truths, and good duties, and good people, lest in any of these we be imposed upon and deluded. Be ye, therefore, wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16), wise to discern that which is really good and that which is counterfeit wise to distinguish things that differ, to improve opportunities. While we are in the midst of so many deceivers, we have great need of that wisdom of the prudent which is to understand his way (Proverbs 14:8. 

Now, capping this off with some instructions on how to use the weapons Mr. Gill and Mr. Henry have provided I’m turning to Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 -1927) to guide us in how to connect our spirit with the Holy Spirit and know we are in God’s will. Ms. Lewis on pages 214 – 215 in WAR ON THE SAINTS relates the following: The believer’s life is, therefore, to be a walk “after the spirit” minding “the things of the spirit” (Romans 8: 4-5). The word “spirit” is not written with a capital “S” denoting the Spirit of God, but with a small “s” as referring to the spirit of man. But the believer can only thus walk “after the spirit,” if the Spirit of God dwells in him (Romans 8:9), the Holy Spirit lifting his spirit to the place of rule over soul and body—” flesh,” both ethically and physically—by joining it to the Risen Lord, and making it “one spirit” with Him (1Cor. 6:17). 

That the believer retains volitional control over his own spirit is the important point to note, and through ignorance he can withdraw his spirit from co-operation with the Holy Spirit, and thus, so to speak, “walk” after the soul, or after the flesh unwittingly. 

The knowledge that the Spirit of God has come to indwell the shrine of the spirit, is not enough to guarantee that the believer will continue to walk in the spirit, and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. (Gal. 5:16). If he lives by the spirit he must learn how to walk by the Spirit, and for this understand how to “combine” and “compare” spiritual things with spiritual (1Cor. 2:13) so as to interpret truly the things of the Spirit of God, exercising the spirit faculty by which he is able to examine all things, and discern the mind of the Lord.

 What, can I say that this article hasn’t already stated, possibly know that our walks ae going to get deeper and deeper remember I said we are being shown the same material the original disciples were taught during their three years with Yeshua. Something referenced tonight was the Lord sent the disciples out without anything and they survived. Father you have shown the work we need to do as well how much Love you have for all, I pray and say thank you, Father, for your patience, compassion and support. Thank you, Father, for revealing if we walk with you Lord all things are possible. thank you, Father, for filling us with hope and the tools weapons and knowledge to continue working out our salvation. Thank you, Lord, for strengthening our nets polishing our lens reflecting your light into the darkness of this world. I ask Father you would rain down your blessings on all who read these articles. Thank you, Lord, for using me to share. In Yeshua’s name Amen.

Remember, these messages are given by a humble servant obedient to our Lord  Yeshua as a Watchman.
