TRUMPETER'S CALL

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

Here we are full circle looking at God’s laws, some months back, God calling us to return to His Law. Research reveals there are numerous theories on whether the requirements of the old testament applies to a Believer’s walk. I am not entering into any debates over this as I believe quite clearly whatever our Father Yahweh laid down as a law definitely applies to us today as well. You will find in Matt 5:17-20 that “The word of the Lord endures forever,” both that of the law and that of the Scriptures. We hear from Mr. John McKee founder of the Messianic Ministry known as “Outreach Israel Ministries” stating. “Even with some commandments in the Torah clearly given for an original Israelite audience and ancient level of technology. Which cannot be followed in a modern world, they still very much inform us about the character of the God of Israel– especially as Israel’s Law was to be quite subversive to the laws of its pagan neighbours. Some commandments are to be placed on the hearts and minds of God’s people even today so that we might understand His redemptive purposes for humanity throughout the multiplied millennia of History.”

Does that mean we live under the law “no,” however, it gives us the foundation to accept and use Yahweh’s “Ten Commandments” and the minor laws of the Torah, in our daily walk? We need them as the solid foundation to expand Yeshua’s more profound teachings. To answer the types of the law thus as Bishop Tillotson expresses it, “he did not make void but make good, the ceremonial law, and manifested himself to be the Substance of all those shadows, to fill up the defects of it, and so to complete and perfect it.” To me, “the Old Testament is the skeleton of the body of Yeshua’s church and the New Testament is the flesh on the bones to fill out that body, without both we have absolutely nothing.” 

Now, this information affects all who are spreading the word about Yeshua’s gift of Salvation, which must be as accurate as humanly possible. I sought out information on both sides of the debate and in doing so found this man of God who I mentioned earlier John K Mckee founder of the Messianic Ministry known as “Outreach Israel Ministries” and after going through his material found many interesting and very valid points he teaches within the Messianic Movement. His qualifications are as follows, the editor of Messianic Apologetics at “Outreach Israel Ministries,” Studied at Asbury Theological Seminary, Studied History at the University of Oklahoma.

My quest now is to seek the full truth to bring it forward, as I believe it will be the only thing, which the Lord has revealed, will sustain us as we go through the upcoming turmoil. And allow us to minister to those in the darkness while endeavoring to bring forward only the truth not causing any to stumble or be without the full facts. This walk will be a challenge to some and a blessing to others. My suggestion to all pray, and meditate till the Lord reveals the truth. 

As the Lord has warned, there will in these times be false prophets and false teachers abundant who will attempt to draw many from the truth. So it is imperative we know, stand and spread only the truth. As well we must recognize the real foundation (Rock) we are standing on as Yeshua set down some of His own laws as extensions to His Father’s laws and if not met will admonish those who break them. (Matthew 5:19)

Before I go on something essential to me is the acknowledgment that the Scriptures are from God which Mr. McKee supports and references in his writings 2Timothy 3:16-17 v16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. v17. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished all good works. 

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Heavenly Father hear these words grant us your patience that we may find our way on this narrow path you have provided. Bring us discernment that we would know your words interpret them with us as you have set them before us. Lord bring us to your walk, guide us, so we are walking in your light and only in your presence. Fill us with the righteousness that we may stand against all temptations to veer from this narrow path. Bring us under your wings Father comfort shield and nurture us like the children we are. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

The Lord is revealing we need to see and hear both sides one from the Holy Scriptures as interpreted from the King James Version noted as the closest interpretation and from the Pentateuch and the Torah. The following is an excerpt I published in “Robert’s Haven” on Facebook which I use as a center to highlight and discuss specific topics affecting us as “Born Again Believers.”

Greetings in the name of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) here today is a tidbit that includes using some deep discernment prayer and definitely meditation. We will be examining whether the laws of the Torah still apply to us as “Born Again Believers.”

Messianic Commentator John K. McKee founder and editor of “Outreach Israel Ministries,” relates: “We must in this examination understand that in light of all the arguments we will be examining. His words regarding the Law of Moses stand primary: [For truly I say to you until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished] (Matthew 5:18 cf Luke 16:17).

Mr. McKee goes on to relate “Letting the Messiah, the Lord God made manifest in the flesh, be our Interpreter, we must conclude that the Torah has not yet passed away. Heaven and Earth still stand! Notably, the Messiah further tells us, [“Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven“] (Matthew 5:19).

What the Lord tells us here is that one’s status in the Kingdom is determined by how he or she handles the Torah or Law of Moses. Mr. McKee relates “I truly desire to see that no born-again Believer ever be considered “least” in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Now let’s see how the Chrisitan commentator Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates to this issue. “The care of God concerning his law extends itself even to those things that seem to be of least account in it, the iotas and the tittles for whatever belongs to God, and bears his stamp, be it so little, shall be preserved. The laws of men are conscious to themselves of so much imperfection that they allow it for a maxim, ‘Apices juris non sunt Jura‘–the extreme points of the law are not the law, but God will stand by and maintain every iota and every tittle of his law.

He gives it in charge to his disciples, carefully to preserve the law, and shows them the danger of the neglect and contempt of it (Matthew 5:19). Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of the least commandments of the law of Moses. Much more any of the greater, as the Pharisees did, who neglected the weightier matters of the law, and shall teach men so as they did, who made void the commandment of God with their traditions (Matthew 15:3), he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. 

Though the Pharisees are cried up for such teachers as should be. They shall not be employed as teachers in Christ’s kingdom, but whosoever shall do and teach them, as Yeshua’s disciples would, and thereby prove themselves better friends to the Old Testament than the Pharisees were, they though despised by men, shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

It is a dangerous thing, in doctrine or practice, to disannual the least of God’s commands to break them, that is, to go about either to contract the extent or weaken the obligation of them whosoever does so will find it is at his peril. Thus to vacate any of the Ten Commandments, is too bold a stroke for the jealous God to pass. It is something more than transgressing the law; it is making void the law (Psalms 119, 126). That they further such corruption as they spread it, the worse they are. It is impudence enough to break the command but is a higher degree of it to teach men so.

“Well now here is something to discern, pray and meditate on. Personally, I will be digging deeper into this to see what I am missing and strongly encourage all to stay tuned as there is more to come. May our Father bless you all as you go forward.“ 

I’m not advocating becoming a Messianic follower, however, believe we will grasp a deeper understanding of Yeshua’s teachings through incorporating the interpretations.

Remember this journey started with God’s call to return to His Laws. So those lessons He might bring to both of our ministries will draw us closer to the real position we should have in walking with God’s laws.

In short, be prepared to be awakened to some truths that are dividing and causing the modern-day churches to fall away from God and have the Holy Spirit lifted from them.

These facts may challenge some of your preconceived beliefs, which they are designed to do, and bring you back to the truth and proper teachings to go forth in Yeshua’s name as His modern-day Disciples.

I have always maintained and openly stated there can be no enmity in the presence of God, not one. Meaning we must be faithful to his laws in all ways, not cherry-pick them to suit our interpretation or desire to sin. This article is going to address the fact that some modern-day churches and many if not all of the entertainment centers who call themselves churches do not have the Holy Spirit leading, guiding and or protecting them. 

They only give the appearance of it. Many have brought enmity into the flocks thus the Holy Spirit has withdrawn as they are not pleasing God by placing enmity before Him based on their theological traditions and ideology. (Romans 1:22-23). Professing themselves to be wise they became fools. V.23. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. 

I wondered why Cain’s sacrifice was rejected by God. What I found, was Cain showed a proud, unbelieving heart, whereas Abel came as a sinner and according to Gods appointment by his sacrifice expressing humility, sincerity, and believing obedience. We must be careful not to become like Cain namely proud, hardened despisers of the gospel method of salvation, who attempt to please God in ways of our own devising and humble believers, who draw near to him in the way he has revealed. Cain harbored an evil spirit of discontent and rebellion against God. (Genesis 4:6-7) And why is thy countenance fallen? v7. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Mr. McKee states in his article CHRISTIAN MISUNDERSTANDING OR AN ANTINOMIAN ASSAULT: “Holy Scripture coupled with the presence of the Holy Spirit filling our hearts and minds is to guide and convict us regarding what we should and should not be doing. And how men and women of God are to live their lives pleasing Him properly. As we examine Scripture, we must be “willing to put any preconceived ideas about God and His word aside,” and let the Bible speak for itself in its totality, with our ultimate loyalty being to the text —– and not a particular theological tradition or ideology. It is imperative that as we do this, we must not hesitate to compare multiple English Bible translations and examine original meanings of Hebrew and Greek words and phrases in their proper context. We must know what the historical background of a Biblical text is. We need to have an ample idea about what various scholars and specialists have proposed and commented upon. Above all, we must strive to be pleasing to our Heavenly Father, as we allow His love to change us from within and guide us to share the good news of His Son with all.” 

By the way, just so you know The meaning of Yeshua in Hebrew “Salvation.”

Here I want to relate Mr. McKee has laid down the foundation of how we are to decipher who the false profits and teachers are which the Holy Spirit has warned us will appear in our walk. I was shown in 2Peter 2:1-3 v1. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction. V2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom, the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. v3. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now for a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 

So now it should be easy to understand what the Holy Spirit is bringing to us showing us the lay of the land and what is hidden, and we have a choice of which path freedom or merchandise. 

Mr. McKee then relates The issue of the validity (or even relevancy) of God’s Law, contained in the Pentateuchal books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy is controversial for many of today’s modern Christians who claim to obey Him. Millions of believers have dismissed the foundational instruction of Moses’ Teaching, and not only find themselves ignoring or dismissing God’s commandments in the Law.—but they find themselves living in ungodly ways in broad discontinuity to the example given by our Lord Yeshua (Jesus). Somehow, many recognizing that Salvation is by Grace believe that “freedom in Christ” equates to not being held to any set of standards or code of conduct by God, as opposed to being set free from bondage and insidious influences of sin. Many, while rightfully recognizing that salvation is by (Ephesians 2:8-9), purposefully overlook how we are to demonstrate good works resultant of such redemption (Ephesians 2:10).

At this point what the Holy Spirit is showing through this man of God is that not only will external forces be working against us but from within as well. He describes what they stand for and why and gives a brief view of the consequences. Their interpretations deny the inclusion of God’s Law as they believe it was removed at Calvary. 

So now it becomes clear why God called us back to His Law. These past months the Holy Spirit has been building a solid foundation for us to remove any preconceived ideas about God and receive the truth within Gods Law which we must now stand on in all aspects as we have been shown the truth. 2Peter 2:9 the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished, V10. But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 

Here we must be careful not to lose sight of where we are going and how far we have come. Know who is asking you to follow, discern what is being taught and why. 2Peter 2:15 gives us a glimpse of the future of those who stray or are distracted for whatever reason v15. Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness. I believe that Scripture is describing the religious sect known as (GAIA: Queen of the Earth, the roots of spiritual distraction) and those within this cult will be dealt with accordingly. 2Peter 2:17-18 v17. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest, to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever, v18. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. These are those who will try to influence from the outside and of course, are easily recognized and await a particular judgment. 2Peter 2:20 For after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Yeshua. They are again entangled therein and overcome; the latter end is worse with them than the beginning, v21 For it was better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 

Now the Holy Spirit brought me to Matthew 5:19 where John Calvin (1509-1564) comments Whoever then shall break Yeshua here speaks expressly of the commandments of life, or the ten words, which all children of God ought to take as the rule of their life. He, therefore, declares, that they are false and deceitful teachers. Who do not restrain their disciples within obedience to the law? And that they are unworthy to occupy a place in the Church, who weaken, in the slightest degree, the authority of the law, and on the other hand, that they are honest and faithful ministers of God, who recommend, both by word and by example, the keeping of the law. 

Pastor Calvin has illustrated through words how to identify those teaching in error and those who would teach the truth. The determination of who you are following is your free choice as we have been given a free will to utilize once we determine in our minds the information provided to us is the truth. However, it is also shown we have a responsibility to search and find how this truth has been interpreted and by who. Ultimately, we are accountable for our actions and have no excuse if we choose a shortcut which we know or eventually find is wrong. There are no shortcuts in Yeshua’s walk. 

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert

In conclusion what comes to my mind is the Lord has given us piece by piece through the articles over the last number of months the framework of information once put together becomes a map showing us spiritually where the narrow path is. It not only brings us the information needed to find it spiritually but as well as how to maintain our journey on it by following God’s Law as he called us to do. Matt 7:14 “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be to find it .” To travel this road, it is going to take hard work determination and a passionate commitment on the part of those who desire the life Yeshua spoke of, as well as the crown, offered in the victory of finding the narrow path. 

I wondered about this passage and the true meaning of it once it had been revealed to us, now it makes ultimate sense. This path is not available to anyone who is not fully committed to the Lord’s teachings within the Fathers’ Law as it was laid out for us. This statement I believe is echoed by Mr. McKee here in this report. No conservative evangelical Christian today wants to ever instinctively be accused of outright dismissing the Law of God. So instead various theologians advocate that Believers are to follow a: “Law of Christ” (cf. Galatians 6:2). Rather than this “law of Messiah” being Yeshua’s own authoritative interpretation and application of the Torah (cf. Matthew 5:17-19) it would instead be something widely dissimilar from it. Even though it would properly embody His example of self-sacrifice and service, such a “law of Christ” would make a stark break from the Law of Moses in many ways. 

Brothers and Sisters what facts are being shown about the False teachers and distractions; and they will make an appearance as having and teaching the truth. However, deviated in its form, our responsibility is to not be naive or complacent but through a fervent desire to find the truth know it and apply it to our lives and walk.

A model I received from a bank manager with respect to counterfeit money, he revealed to recognize counterfeit you need to first know how to recognize the real thing. Then it is almost impossible not to identify what is false. I see this principle applying here.

Something Mr. McKee stated in his writings stuck with me “We must know what the historical background behind a Biblical text is. We need to have an ample idea about what various scholars and specialists have proposed and commented upon. Above all, we must strive to be pleasing to our Heavenly Father, as we allow His love to change us from within and guide us to share the good news of His Son with all.” If we continuously search study research gather and discern we eventually come to recognize the real truth and then are able to identify and distinguish the false teachings, deceptions, and distractions from the truth. 

Brothers and Sisters, in Yeshua, here it is, the thread which binds all of our findings within the word provided as spiritual food for our nurturing and understanding of God’s love and desire for us to be close to Him. It laces together all the instructions on how to find and remain walking on that narrow path Yeshua described. One thing to keep in mind is he did not say it was impossible to find just difficult and here we have the information before us to see why.

We are shown what it is going to take from us personally to first find and then remain on that path, fervent discipline, sincere dedication to Yeshua and complete acceptance of His Fathers Laws.

I desire to close out with this excerpt from Robert’s Haven the Holy Spirit brought me to share. It, to me, relates the depth of faith, knowledge, and fervent belief we need to always demonstrate not only to those around us but to God.

“Greetings followers of our Lord Yeshua. Here is a Tidbit today Dec. 11, 2017, commented and shared by Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) about the prophet Daniel from chapter 2:14-23 Daniel humbly prayed that God would discover to him the king’s dream, and the meaning of it. Praying friends are valuable friends, and it well becomes the greatest and best men to desire the prayers of others. Let us show that we value our friends and their prayers. They were particular in worship. And whatever we pray for, we can expect nothing but as a gift of God’s mercies. God gives us leave in prayer to tell our wants and burdens. Their plea to God was the peril they were facing. The mercy Daniel and his fellows prayed for was bestowed. The fervent prayers of righteous men avail much. Daniel was thankful to God for making known that to him, which saved the lives of himself and his fellows. How much more should we be grateful to God, for making known the great salvation of the soul to those who are not among the worldly wise and prudent?”

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert 

Heavenly Father, thank you for all that has been revealed to us this day. Thank you for the spirits of discernment, understanding, knowledge, and deepening of our faith. We thank you, Father, for raising our level of courage and desire to serve within the darkness of this world. Bringing us the recognition that you are with us and none can stand against us, as we walk in humility. We thank you, Father, that you have taken from us the spirits of pride, arrogance, and self-importance and filled our hearts with the desire to find and bring home that one lost soul as your Son did at the well. We pray this in your name Lord in the name of Yeshua. Amen.

A quick reminder these articles are from a humble servant of the Lord doing as I am called to do sound the “Trumpet”, as a “Watchmen of the Lord”, when there is a message from the Lord of impending danger to the flock.
