“THE COMFORTING HAND OF GOD”

And he said, come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on water, to go to Yeshua. v.30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid and beginning to sink, he cried saying, Lord, save me, v.31 And immediately Yeshua stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’ (Matthew 29 – 31)
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
As “Modern Day Disciples,” our walk, faith, and discernment like the early “Apostles” have been deepened, we are being drawn into a very deep personal relationship with Yeshua. Having been shown there will be moments of turmoil which like Peter will frighten us as we may not entirely understand and because of our relationship with our Lord will call out for his assistance when we believe we are failing not realizing we have in our spirit doubted what we have received as truth.
Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) brings to light a reflection we need to ponder on in his commentary. “Special supports are promised and are to be expected, but only in spiritual pursuits; nor can we ever come to Yeshua, unless we are upheld by his power. Yeshua bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace. When we look off from Yeshua and look at the greatness of opposing difficulties, we shall begin to fall; but when we call to him, he will stretch out his arm, and save us. Yeshua is the great Saviour; those who would be saved, must come to him, and cry to him, for salvation; we are never brought to this, till we find ourselves sinking: the sense of need drives us to him. He rebuked Peter. Could we but believe more, we should suffer less. The weakness of faith and the prevailing of our doubts displease our Lord, for there is no good reason why Yeshua’s disciples should be of a doubtful mind. Even on a stormy day, he is to them a very present help. None but the world’s Creator could multiply the loaves, none but its Governor could tread upon the waters of the sea: the disciples yield to the evidence, and confess their faith. They were suitably affected and worshipped, Yeshua. He that comes to God must believe, and he that believes in God will come (Hebrews 11:6.)”
Full satisfaction is reserved for the future state. Your joys shall be constant. God not only works in them a gracious desire for these pleasures but by his Spirit fills your souls with joy and peace in believing. He quickens whom he will; and whoever will, may come, and take from him of the waters of life freely. May we know, and love, and uprightly serve the Lord; then no proud enemy, on earth or from hell, shall separate us from his love. Faith calleth things that are not, as though they were. It carries us forward to the end of time; it shows us the Lord, on his throne of judgment; the empire of sin fallen to rise no more.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
“All things are in your control heavenly Father, including our walk to eternal life
with you. We ask Lord for you to reveal through the Holy Spirit how to appropriately share our gift with those trapped in the darkness of this world. We pray for Father a deep discernment and understanding of how to use your gifts to be the most effective example of reflecting your light love and compassion to them. Deepen our enthusiasm and determination to withstand the wiles of the enemy preventing us from approaching them. Fill us with determination to expel our doubts and fears. We give thanks to you Lord and pray this in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen,”
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
Is it not curious how we hold ourselves back from utilizing the wondrous gifts
which have been offered. When I think about how many who surround me declaring their love and desire to serve and be with our Saviour Yeshua. Yet suffer shortcomings in their walk daily when they should be walking in peace and joy praising God for His gifts while using and sharing them. What was shown in “THERE CAN BE NO TRUE PEACE WITHOUT GRACE” published Jan 20, 2020,” For our Salvation to have any value in God’s eyes, it must be shared.” Is now revealing where some of our weaknesses are. This article is going to introduce us on how to recognize we are in God’s Hands and why we should not have doubt in our lives. We are going to find how Yeshua while walking in this world was able through his faith, and without doubt, was through His Father performing all His miracles. (John 8:54).
Yeshua through the Holy Spirit is allowing us to look deep into our commitment to see our weaknesses and fears. He is going to allow us to follow our choices until we recognize our failing ways and will then lift us up so we might truly witness His power that we may obtain a greater level of acceptance thus removing doubt from our being and walk. (Acts 10:38) “How God anointed Yeshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.”
Our past articles I believe, have, lead us to this position in our walks. Yeshua called Peter to come to him and he was walking on water until he took his eyes off of Him. After rescuing Peter Yeshua pointed out why he failed, ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’ (Matthew 29 – 31). In that quick statement to Peter, Yeshua is identifying with us why we are not able to utilize all of God’s gifts. It is a lack of faith and doubt, along with the acceptance of our enemies lies that the time for Healings and Miracles has passed.
I believe Peter in Acts 10:34 dispells this lie by saying “Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons. So, in my humble opinion “for what it is worth,” do not believe God has stopped bestowing the Gifts received at Pentecost through the
Baptism of “The Holy Ghost.” and here is why! When we read the following (Acts 10:42) ” And he commanded us to preach unto the people and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. v.43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins, v.44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard the word. v.45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. v.46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, v.47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Well I, know there will be those who will question my position which is their right. However, I cannot nor will not set aside this evidence showing as Yeshua states ‘O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.’ (Matthew 29 – 31). I am calling all those walking as “Modern Day Apostles” to recognize what Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) revealed “Yeshua bade Peter come, not only that he might walk upon the water, and so know his Lord’s power, but that he might know his own weakness. And the Lord often lets his servants have their choice, to humble and prove them, and to show the greatness of his power and grace.”
This article “THE COMFORTING HAND OF GOD” for me relates where I am with God, and there should be no “DOUBT” in my walk which will affect my performance as His obedient servant. Meaning, and remember, it is up to God who he bestows His
heavenly gifts too, not as a respecter of men, but as the omnipotent Father who knows the true position of a believer’s heart, faith and journey.
So it now becomes clear why we were lead to analyze our walk through the past article “ARE YOU KNOWN BY YOUR FRUITS” published Jan.14, 2020? Here, it is becoming clear how God is leading us to follow His Son’s footsteps and those of the early Apostles. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) explained it “Christ came to teach us, not only what we are to know and believe, but what we are to do. Not only toward God but toward men, not only toward those of our party but toward all men.” The Holy Ghost fell upon others after they were baptized, to confirm them in the faith; but upon these Gentiles, before they were baptized, to show that God does
not confine himself to outward signs. The Holy Ghost fell upon those who were neither circumcised nor baptized; it is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. They magnified God and spake of Christ and the benefits of redemption. Whatever gift we are endued with, we ought to honour God with it. The believing Jews who were present were astonished that the gift of the Holy Ghost was poured out upon the Gentiles also.
By mistaken notions of things, we make difficult for ourselves as to the methods of Divine providence and grace. As they were undeniably baptized with the Holy Ghost, Peter concluded they were not to be refused the baptism of water, and the ordinance was administered. The argument is conclusive; can we deny the sign to those who have received the things signified? Those who have some acquaintance with Christ, cannot but desire more. Even those who have received the Holy Ghost must see their need of daily learning more of the truth. Peter then commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.
CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert
I truly believe the following comments quoted here best describes how the early assemblies were being established through the devotion of the Apostle Peter as described in the Expositor’s Bible Commentary. Our lives may be very ordinary and commonplace, the events may succeed one another in the most matter-of-fact style. There may seem in them nothing at all worth the attention of a Divine Ruler, yet those ordinary lives are just as much planned and guided by supernatural wisdom as the careers of men concerning whom all the world is talking. Only let us take care to follow Peter’s example. He yielded himself completely to the Divine guidance, trusted himself completely to the Divine love and wisdom, and then found in such trust not only life and safety but what is far better, perfect peace and sweetest calm.
There are men never tired of running from one committee to another, and never weary of seeing their names in the morning papers. They count they have been busily and usefully employed if their names are perpetually appearing in newspaper reports as speaking, or at any rate being present, at innumerable meetings, leaving themselves no time for that quiet meditation whereby Peter gained the closest communion with heaven.
Pure and undefiled religion is sometimes found where we least expect it. Wherever the fear of God rules in the heart, it will appear both in works of charity and of
piety, neither will excuse from the other. Doubtless, Cornelius had true faith in God’s word, as far as he understood it, though not as yet clear faith in Yeshua. This was the work of the Spirit of God, through the mediation of Yeshua, even before Cornelius knew him, as is the case with us all when we, who before were dead in sin, are made alive. Through Yeshua also his prayers and alms were accepted, which otherwise would have been rejected. Without dispute or delay, Cornelius was obedient to the heavenly vision. In the affairs of our souls, let us not lose time.
Like Peter as “Modern Day Disciples, “we should follow his leadership, Peter was successful in opening the door of faith for many. Because he prepared himself for doing the Divine work by the discipline of meditation, deliberation, and prayer with his Risen Lord. Here I will remind you of the template I revealed at the start of the article. We must recognize a period of pause, repose, and quietness should proceed with a new onward movement of development and of action.

PRE-AMBLE by Robert
It is very common for a man to look upon himself as wiser and better than other men, and as fit to dictate to them. Such a one deceives himself; by pretending to what he has not, he puts a cheat upon himself and sooner or later will find the sad effects. This will never gain esteem, either with God or men. In this article, the Holy Spirit is revealing how easy it is to fall into being Prideful. He is going to show us there are two types of teachers both recognizing Yeshua, however, one messenger falls short in delivering the gospel. We will receive a lesson which was delivered by Apostle Paul 2000+ years but still applies to our walk today.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Father in heaven, hear our petitions, Lord, to gain your understanding, knowledge, wisdom, and patience. Teach us to discern the power within each gift Father so we may be strengthened to endure as your Apostles did to demonstrate through our conflicts your love, compassion, and forgiveness. Place your words Lord so we may rebuke the work of the enemy sharpen our sword, Father. Bring unto us Lord the spirit of meekness, and humility, remove the spirit of arrogance and superiority, take from us any spirit of Pride. This we pray in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert.
In the recent article, ‘THERE CAN BE NO TRUE PEACE WITHOUT GRACE.”

The Holy Spirit revealed, “For our Salvation to have any value in God’s eyes, it must be shared.“ The following is the background, we need to consider, as related by Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) in his introduction to the book of Philippians. He reveals what we will or may encounter when sharing our Salvation and how Paul handled it. “PHILIPPI was a chief city of the western part of Macedonia Acts 16:12. It is most remarkable among Christians for this epistle, which was written when Paul was a prisoner at Rome, AD 62.

Paul seems to have had a very particular kindness for the church at Philippi, which he himself had been instrumental in planting and, though he had the care of all the churches, he had, upon that account, a particular fatherly tender care of this. At Philippi, Paul suffered hard things he was scourged and put into stocks (Acts 16:23,24) yet he had not less kindness for the place for the hard usage he met with there. We must never love our friends the less for the ill-treatment which our enemies give us.
This, information lead me to Philippians 1:15 where Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) further comments on how Paul dealt with those in the Philippi church: “Paul shows the wisdom and goodness of God in his sufferings. These things made him known, where he would never have otherwise been known; and led some to inquire after the gospel. He suffered from false friends, as well as from enemies. How wretched the temper of those who preached Christ out of envy and contention, and to add affliction to the bonds that oppressed this best of men! The apostle was easy in the midst of all. Since our troubles may tend to the good of many, we ought to rejoice.

Paul reveals to what depth the “Modern Day Disciples” will be required to shift their walk in order to recognize and then demonstrate God’s love and compassion, they will need “fervent discipline, sincere dedication to Yeshua and complete acceptance of His Fathers Laws.” Here is where the importance of God’s earlier call for us to do an edit on our walk and return to His Law’s, comes into play and reveals the importance of how we see, understand and stage our relationship with Yeshua and God the Father. The following link will refresh your memory or for those who have not read it bring forward pertinent information to understand our position today.
https://romboughrobert.wordpress.com/2017/06/14/truth-will-be-evil-lies-will-be-truth/
John Calvin’s (1509 – 1564) commentary on Philippians 1:15 – 17 gives us a better understanding of how we as Modern Day disciples should be staging our walk even though it has been 2000 + years. “Here is another fruit of Paul’s bonds – some by maintaining their position, others by becoming more eager to teach – but even those who wished him evil were on another account stirred up to publish the

gospel. Some, I say, from contention. Paul reveals there are two classes of men that are stirred up by his bonds to preach Yeshua. The one influenced by contention, that is, by depraved affection. The other by pious zeal, as being desirous to maintain along with him the defence of the gospel. The former does not preach Yeshua purely, because it was not a right zeal. Those who truly loved Yeshua reckoned that it would be a disgrace to them if they did not associate themselves with Paul as his companions when maintaining the cause of the gospel. We must act in such a manner, as to give a helping hand, as far as possible, to the servants of Yeshua when in difficulty, for the defence of the Gospel. For since Yeshua confers upon us so great an honour, what excuse shall we have, if we shall be traitors to his cause. Or what may we expect, if we betray it by our SILENCE?

Adam Clarke (1760 -1832) in his commentaries on Philippians 1:15 gives us a glimpse of the foundation of those spoken of in the prior paragraph. “Some preach Yeshua (Christ) even of envy and strife. These must have been the Judaizing teachers, who insisted on the necessity of connecting the Mosaic rites with the Christian institutions; and, probably, denounced Paul to the Jews dwelling at Rome as not only an enemy to the law and the prophets but also as a very imperfect Christian, because he declared strongly against the doctrine of circumcision and no doubt endeavoured to prejudice him with the heathen Romans.”
Continuing, Adam Clarke (1760 -1832) goes on to expose them for what they are and how they will appear to be. “The word preach is not to be taken here as implying that the different persons mentioned were what we call preachers of the Gospel. All that we can understand from Paul’s use of the word is, that they proclaimed Yeshua as the promised Messiah, espoused the Christian cause, and contended, whether in public or private, that this Yeshua (Jesus) was the Christ; but nothing of this kind appears to have been intended in reference to the conversation of sinners.”
As “Modern Day Disciples” we must be cautious never to give into what Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) is describing “In the way to eternal happiness, we must expect to be assaulted and sifted by Satan. If he cannot destroy, he will try to disgrace or distress us. Nothing more certainly forebodes a fall, in a professed follower of Christ, than self-confidence, with disregard to warnings, and contempt of danger. Unless we watch and pray always, we may be drawn in the course of the day into those sins which we were in the morning most resolved against.”
Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) enlightens how our walk should proceed on the narrow path “Kindness is the law of Christ’s kingdom, the lesson of his school, the livery of his family. Several motives to brotherly love are mentioned.

If you expect or experience the benefit of God’s compassion to yourselves, be compassionate one to another. It is the joy of disciples to see people like-minded. Yeshua came to humble us, let there not be among us a spirit of pride. We must be severe upon our own faults, and quick in observing our own defects, but ready to make favourable allowances for others. We must kindly care for others, but not be busy-bodies in other men’s matters. Neither inward nor outward peace can be enjoyed, without lowliness of mind.
CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert
We find that even while in prison Paul had his influence on the churches through the letters he sent forward. It becomes apparent our focus must always be demonstrating God’s Love compassion and Grace. We saw that even through his sufferings to bring Yeshua’s teachings forward, Paul’s demonstrations and examples brought attention to his ability to endure and continue the teachings of Yeshua. This is an example for the Modern Day Disciples to recognize no matter what the world presents in opposition to your efforts in demonstrating Yeshua’s teachings because you go forward your efforts will bear fruit as it did for Paul.
I was presented with a post on Facebook “A question was asked in the Bible, ‘how can one achieve greatness and the answer was; find a way to serve the many because of service to many leads to greatness”. I wrote back “The best work for our Lord is to be living examples of the words you speak. Words only entice, examples create desire and want of what you have demonstrated by those words, freedom, and peace. Experience shows if you live what you speak by putting forward a good example you will draw many to the light you have emitted into the darkness. For example; light a match in the darkness of night, watch what occurs.”
This question and answer is the best example I can offer for the wisdom the Holy Spirit has brought forward of what makes our walk affective. I see why the Holy Spirit calls for our demonstrations to match our walk as Yeshua did. He lived what he spoke, he brought forward the power of His words through obedience to God his Father. The task of being a living example of walking in Yeshua’s footsteps is not without trials and tribulations. Our demonstrations of how we deal with the trials and tribulations will put us before those in the world as living examples of how God deals with us, for those who cannot understand. Like Paul, our sufferings will allow us to be otherwise known. This puts us in the position now to share with those desiring for themselves what we have.
Now, here is the most important part of this article at no time can we believe we are in any stretch of the imagination superior, more intelligent, seen in God’s eyes as extra special, as these thoughts answer the question; “Pride,” Does It Belong To You? Paul offered this answer which we saw earlier but will see it again as a final reminder of what our walk should look like. “Kindness is the law of Christ’s kingdom, the lesson of his school, the livery of his family. Several motives for brotherly love are mentioned. If you expect or experience the benefit of God’s compassion to yourselves, be compassionate one to another.”

“WHERE ARE YOU GOING?”
I follow and walk the belief that we all are here to share with those who pass through our lives. I am not talking about the general public but those who Our Heavenly Father draws into our lives for a reason or purpose. Which in most cases we won’t immediately understand or maybe are not meant to understand.
Time usually brings out the purpose, whether it’s for a quick moment or a lengthy encounter, time will eventually reveal the reason each individual has been brought into our lives.
There are a lot of names being placed on this type of occurrences, I prefer to think that Our heavenly Father has a reason & purpose and as His instrument or tool, I need to be able to discern, understand, and react to the encounter, in a manner which allows us to connect, and Our Lord’s Will to be done.
I recognize, that it can be a simple word between us or a sentence of encouragement or just a simple glance, and nod of approval, or acknowledgement or sometimes it is a sit-down cup of coffee conversation, the why really matters not.
I believe when individuals pass through my life’s journey, they have been
lead there not by hap chance, but for a purpose, and by Our heavenly Father. However on the opposite side, as I am brought into others’ life journeys I believe it was for a purpose, which I may or may not understand. I don’t ask, sharing what has been given to me freely, which in respect of a fellow soul, who may just need to hear a friendly hello, or hope you have a wonderful day, no matter the circumstances, or even just a smile, but certainly an acknowledgement I have passed through their journey and life.
Recognize, as you have been reading this, I have entered into your life’s journey and are passing through, leaving you a spiritual smile, and a farewell greeting of “May our Lord Bless you, your family, and those you encounter through your life’s journey”.
The one thing my life’s journey has taught me and those who have passed through it is to make your journey, an easy one to come to peace with yourself. Don’t take on burdens like fear, anger, resentments, vengeance, these actions only close the door to the Lord using you, as His tool or instrument. I guess you need to ask, “Where Am I going in my life’s Journey,” and the other thing is. “How will I get there in a rage or in peace”.
All my love goes out to those who have by reading this message, allowed me to pass through their Life’s Journey, and share. “God Bless” and Thank You

Again please remember this is just a humble servant doing the bidding of the LORD I pray for a safe journey forward. A walk-in God’s love and peace, and may the “SHARING OF YOUR LIGHT” be fruitful, remember He is always with you if you hold His love in your heart forever.

Each day is a marvel as I meet those who have been in the darkness and are now about to receive the most precious gift paid for in Love and ready to forgive as it is filled with compassion. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=KvlZrNH93Sc&feature=share
In receiving the gift of light and becoming free, we can then find who we are in Yeshua as a liberated soul https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=3rT8Re1EIQc&feature=share.
We can then recognize the Lord is alive and sits at the right hand of the Father and doesn’t need to be reborn each year. He was born ministered, was crucified and buried and resurrected after three days in the tomb, walked among men again and ascended alive to sit at the right hand of the Father. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=S_OTz-lpDjw&feature=share
Now knowing my God is alive, and I am with him, I recognize the freedom Yeshua’s sacrifice has brought me too and that I am now in His family. No longer a slave to the world’s customs, traditions, festivals and false teachings, knowing he is alive, I am free to be His child and grow in His light. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=XxkNj5hcy5E&feature=share
Now having been adopted into the family of God, I should go into the streets and signal and dance lifting up my praise for this gift which I have received and will be with me eternally. Not just one day and they fade for 364 days.
MY GOD IS A WONDEROUS GOD WHO WALKS WITH ME 365 DAYS A YEAR SHARING HIS LOVE AND COMPASSION THROUGH ME AS ONE OF HIS CHILDREN.

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
Bless us “Oh Lord” as your humble servants obediently walking in your Son’s footsteps having spiritually followed him to the crucifixion and spiritually witness to your son’s resurrection. We pray “Oh Lord” for your wisdom discernment and knowledge to be upon us that we would be prepared to receive your heavenly gifts. We ask this in all humbleness and sincerity Father. This we pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.
Please remember these messages are being presented by a humble servant of Yeshua as a “Watchmen” merely sounding his Trumpet drawing your attention to the word our Lord has delivered as a warning. May you prosper and grow.

“WHO IS THE LIGHT OF YOUR LIFE?”
“
And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.” (John 3:19)
PRE-AMBLE by Robert.
The deeper we get into the Den of Wolves, the more we are able to identify who the false teachers and prophets are, and how they are spreading their poison within the Ekklesia.
The Holy Spirit lead me to two books in Scripture “John” and “1John” within these two I was shown what to provide as a witness to Yeshua’s modern-day disciples, in preparation, for their advancement into their battles ahead. Like the ancients who requested John to write his gospels in opposition to the heresy of Corinthus and Ebionites. [I] am using these Gospels to bring forward his responses as lessons for those modern-day disciples to use as our offense against our modern day heretics within the Ekklesia.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father I pray for those taking up this mantle and challenge. I ask Father for a constant hedge of protection to be built around them their homes and families. Place with them as your continuous protection four Cherubim angels at the four corners of their lives, homes, families, properties, and personal possessions. Fill them with your heavenly secrets, wisdom, discernment along with understanding. Provide them with patience, determination, and endurance to maintain Your battle. In all of this, I pray in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen.
OPENING COMMENTS by Robert
The Gospel of 1John brings forward witness of broad moral topics. And I believe the goal is to guide Yeshua’s Disciples, to John’s instructions and directives within those topics for those who are about to face many new challenges to their faith and walk.
In the book of John, we are going to find the account of Yeshua’s life which is much different from the Synoptic Gospels of (Matthew, Mark, and Luke). We are going to be provided at the end of this Gospel (John 20:30,31) signs and wonders Yeshua performed giving us the ability to prove Yeshua is indeed the Son of God. Also, we will find several miracles mentioned only in this book Yeshua turning water into wine (John 2:1-12) as an example.
The Gospel of John is divided into chronological portions: the pre-existence of Yeshua (John 1:1-18). His first year of ministry (John 1:19 – 4:54); His popularity during the second year (chapter 5), the opposition against him in His third year of ministry (John 12:12 -19:42); and the forty days following his
resurrection (Chapters 20,21). These four portions hold many tools we will need to round out our instructions and directions as we enter into battle as “God’s modern-day Disciples.”
When it comes down to it, John has laid out the whole story of what our battle is indeed about and why it occurred. The Apostle has given us the basis of why we are entering this war, the bottom line reconnecting our spirit directly to God through the Salvation and grace His Son Yeshua makes available. The Apostle John is gifting us with information pertinent to the returning of those lost sheep God is calling to return to the flock. He is providing information and proof that who we speak of as our Lord is indeed the Word, Son of God. Thus
there are no grounds on behalf of anyone within the Den of Wolves trying to argue that the deity of Yeshua does not exist or isn’t sufficient.
The most understandable reason why the Son of God is called the Word seems to be, that as our words explain our minds to others, so was the Son of God sent to reveal his Father’s mind to the world. What the evangelist says of Christ proves that he is God. He asserts His existence in the beginning; His coexistence with the Father. The Word was with God. All things were made by him, and not as an instrument. Without him was not anything made that was made, from the highest angel to the lowest worm.
His existence, in the beginning, was the Word. This bespeaks his presence, not only before his incarnation but before all time. The beginning of time, in which all creatures were produced and brought into being, found this eternal Word in being. The world was from the beginning, but the Word was in the beginning. Eternity is usually expressed by being before the foundation of the world. The eternity of God is so described (Psalms 90:2). Before the mountains were brought forth. So Proverbs 8:23. The Word had a being before the world had a beginning. He that was in the beginning never began, and therefore was ever, (achronos) without beginning of time. So Nonnus.
The scope of John 1 is to confirm our faith in Yeshua as the eternal Son of God, and the real Messiah and Saviour of the World. That we may be brought to receive him, rely on him, as our Prophet, Priest, and King. And to give up ourselves to be ruled, and taught, and saved by him. This is the foundation of our walk as modern-day disciples entering into the “Den of Wolves” as “God” has called His disciples to do. Bring home those sheep which have strayed find them rescue them and return them to the flock.
So Here we must assess what, when, where, who, and how, we are going to meet with our fallen brothers and sisters who were deluded believe they know God and His Son
Yeshua. Remember we are in the Den of Wolves and will be dealing with those who follow a doctrine which has false teachings and prophecies. Those within the Den will need particular attention and skilled, knowledgeable handling to be drawn back to the flock. In our last article “Yea though I Walk Through The Valley of Death” I displayed a video showing the type of individual you will be meeting, confronting and dealing with. Further Jesse Penn-Lewis gave us a Description of what we would encounter through dealing with these individuals. If you missed the article here is a link to it to see or refresh your memory.

The apostles declared what they had seen and heard, that believers might share their comforts and everlasting advantages. They had free access to God the Father. They had a happy experience of the truth in their souls and showed its excellence in their lives.
This communion of believers with the Father and the Son is begun and kept up by the influences of the Holy Spirit. The benefits Yeshua bestows, are not like the meager possessions of the world, causing jealousies in others. But the joy and happiness of communion with God are all-sufficient, so that any number may partake of it; and all who are warranted to say, that indeed their fellowship is with the Father, will desire to lead others to partake of the same blessedness.
John shows us how to have the same communion with Yeshua through his testimony of the evidence given concerning Yeshua’s person and excellence. (1 John 1:1,1 John 1:2). John states the knowledge thereof gives us communion with God and Yeshua, (1John 1:3), and joy (1John 1:4). A description of God (1 John 1:5). How we are to walk (1 John 1:6). The benefit of such walking (1 John1:7). The way, to forgiveness (1 John 1:9). And last the evil of denying our sin (1 John 1:8 – 10). Here is where we make a choice here is what John reveals as the choice. There is a difference between committing a sin and continuing to sin. Even the most faithful believers sometimes commit sins, but they do not cherish a particular sin or continually choose to commit it.
While the necessity of a holy walk is insisted upon, as the effect and evidence of the knowledge of God in Yeshua, the opposite error of self-righteous pride is guarded against with equal care. All who walk near to God, in holiness and righteousness, are sensible that their best days and duties are mixed with sin. God has given testimony to the sinfulness of the world, by providing a sufficient, effectual Sacrifice for sin, needed in all ages; and the sinfulness of believers themselves is shown, by requiring them continually to confess their sins, and to apply by faith to the blood of that Sacrifice. Let us plead guilty before God, be humble, and willing to know the worst of our case. Let us honestly confess all our sins in their full extent, relying wholly on his mercy and truth through the
righteousness of Yeshua, for a free and complete forgiveness, and our deliverance from the power and practice of sin.
righteousness of Yeshua, for a free and complete forgiveness, and our deliverance from the power and practice of sin. These are the instructions John has brought to us to demonstrate as part of our tools, speech, an example of revealing the truth through actions rather than words. We are warriors of truth armored, trained, educated, and supported by Yeshua. And as such must act accordingly as the battle-ready soldiers of truth, we are.
The disciples had shut the doors for fear of the Jews; and when they had no such expectation, Yeshua himself came and stood in the midst of them, having miraculously, though silently, opened the doors. It is a comfort to Yeshua’s disciples when their assemblies can only be held in private that no doors can shut out Yeshua’s presence. (Matthew 18:20) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
When He manifests his love to believers by the comforts of his Spirit, he assures them that because he lives, they shall live also. A sight of Yeshua will gladden the heart of a disciple at any time; and the more we see of Yeshua, the more we shall rejoice. He said, Receive ye the Holy Ghost, thus showing that their spiritual life, as well as all their ability for their work, would be derived from him, and depended upon him. Every word of Yeshua which is received in the heart by faith comes accompanied by this Divine breathing; and without this, there is neither light nor life. Nothing is seen, known, discerned, or felt of God, but through this. After this, Yeshua directed the apostles to declare the only method by which sin would be forgiven. This power did not exist at all in the apostles as a power to give judgment, but only as a power to declare the character of those whom God would accept or reject in the day of judgment. They have clearly laid down the marks whereby a child of God may be discerned and be distinguished from a false professor, and according to what they have declared shall every case be decided in the day of judgment. When we assemble in Christ’s name, especially on his holy day, he will meet with us, and speak peace to us.
Some will recognize the Word and have accepted Him. John the Baptist came to bear witness concerning Yeshua. Nothing more fully shows the darkness of men’s minds, than that when the Light had appeared, there needed a witness to call
attention to it. Yeshua was the true Light; that great Light which deserves to be called so.
By his Spirit and grace he enlightens all that are enlightened to salvation; and those that are not illuminated by him, perish in darkness. Christ was in the world when he took our nature upon him and dwelt among us. The Son of the Highest was here in this lower world. He was in the world, but not of it. He came to save a lost world because it was a world of his own making. Yet the world knew him not.
When having an Advocate with the Father; one who has undertaken, and is fully able, to plead in behalf of everyone who applies for pardon and salvation in his name, depending on his pleading for them. He is “Yeshua,” the Saviour, and “Christ,” the Messiah, the Anointed. He alone is “the Righteous One,” who received his nature pure from sin, and as our Surety perfectly obeyed the law of God, and so fulfilled all righteousness. All men, in every land, and through successive generations, are invited to come to God through this all-sufficient atonement, and by this new and living way. The gospel, when rightly understood and received, sets the heart against all sin, and stops the allowed practice of it; at the same time, it gives blessed relief to the wounded consciences of those who have sinned.
The following is a warning of what we must continuously be aware of and fight against. John shows what can be used as tools but what must never enter into our lives as sought after possessions to be held admiringly. Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) describes them in this commentary perfectly. The things of the world may be desired and possessed for the uses and purposes which God intended, and they are to be used by his grace, and to his glory, but believers must not seek or value them for those purposes to which sin abuses them. The world draws the heart from God; and the more the love of the world prevails, the more the love of God decays. The things of the world are classed according to the three ruling inclinations of depraved nature. 1. The lust of the flesh, of the body: sinful desires of the heart, the appetite of indulging all things that excite and inflame sensual pleasures. 2. The lust of the eyes: the eyes are delighted with riches and rich possessions; this is the lust of covetousness. 3. The pride of life: a vain man craves the grandeur and pomp of a vain-glorious life; this includes thirst after honor and applause. The things of the world quickly fade and die away; desire itself will ere long fail and cease, but holy affection is not like the lust that passes away. The love of God shall never fail. Many vain efforts have been made to evade the force of this passage by limitations, distinctions, or exceptions. Many have tried to show how far we may be carnally-minded, and love the world, but the plain meaning of these verses cannot easily be mistaken. Unless this victory over the world is begun in the heart, a man has no root in himself but will fall away, or at most remain an unfruitful professor. Yet these vanities are so alluring to the corruption in our hearts, that without constant watching and prayer, we cannot escape the world, or obtain victory over the god and prince of it.

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert
General Patton World War ll most revered General stated and I paraphrase “A soldier who is well trained and equipped will be victorious in all battles he may engage in.” The Apostle John has given us the most detailed weaponry available. The Lord has given us the greatest weapon ever conceived described in Hebrews 4:12 For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Our task then is to go forward within the “Den of Wolves” being as wise as Serpents and Gentle as Doves using the information provided by John as the Word of God wisely knowing it’s power. Our goal as modern day disciples like Yeshua, “who sought to save that one soul”, by waiting for the Samaritan woman, seek out those one soul’s God is calling to return to the flock.
Is this a deep calling “Yes”? Is it worth our effort “Yes” Are we answering our Father’s call to return to following His Laws “Yes”? It all started here where we were given a choice who to follow as we see in this link and in so doing have been lead and taught by the Holy Spirit in preparation for these battles.
Remember I am just the messenger and the choices to be made are yours. Keep in mind what the Watchman is obligated to in Ezekiel 33 I believe applies to all who
have received the knowledge of the warning and messages applies to you as well. It boils down to choices of the individual. May our Lord continue blessing you as you go forward walking in His light and peace.
