Perseverance & Determination = Motivation

The question I am placing before those about to read this article I published in regards to operating a successful business. Can you apply the same principals in developing a personal relationship with Yeshua? Can you learn from exercising the attributes of operating a successful business as the same principals in walking spiritually?

Are we able to transfer those qualities of perseverance, determination, and a strong will into a spiritual walk?

If you want success there is a truth that must be learned and accepted “there is no short cut to long term success whether as a Business or in a Personal Relationship. As a special note when the word Career has a Verb connotation, It has the following meaning “To move rapidly straight ahead, especially in an uncontrolled way.”

I found myself in that position when I first started my company, full of Determination & Perseverance and a strong will to succeed. What I didn’t realize was my company was moving straight ahead rapidly with no one steering it even though I believed there was.

Here is the lesson I learned from those initial days of chaos and I call them that as they truly were days where I felt like a chicken with no head running around and accomplishing nothing. What I gained was that perseverance is a great thing if used while under control and as a part of an overall plan.

My initial actions of perseverance were as the following definition “continuing in a course of action without regard to discouragement, opposition or previous failure.” When I looked at the situations or challenges before me I allowed perseverance to be the controlling factor in my decision making, which in looking back was an error. I was expending a huge amount of energy, and time and appeared to be just spinning my wheels and moving ever so slightly forward. I wonder how many others out there are in similar situations and just haven’t realized it, because like me they believed perseverance would eventually win out. I knew perseverance was a key factor to being successful and wanted to find what was missing in my approach, why was I not seeing more results for my efforts and time, what was I doing wrong?

The analysis showed me my business plan was attainable but my efforts were being scattered and I needed to focus my perseverance by using this definition “persistent determination to adhere to a plan of direction”. Now that my business plan was working I needed to be very consistent in how I used my perseverance and be focused on moving forward in controlled steps, instead of trying to rush to the finish, a common mistake in most new small business ventures.

At this point I brought determination into play with my overall plan of change and followed this definition as the ground work of that change ” having the quality of mind which reaches definite conclusions”. So here was my anchor which would keep me grounded and allow me to truly focus on what was important and then deal with the other relevant factors which were all the pieces needed to bring my company to a long term success. This required an extensive amount of work in the initial stages, but as a routine was developed, it became easier and relatively smoother similar to exercising a muscle I just got stronger and more informed..

So like the title says perseverance and determination under control create Motivation which again is powerful in it’s own right. However it must be utilized and focused under a controlled plan of action, this is when I realized a decision had to be made what market was I interested in focusing my efforts on.

I’m not sure but I believe most small business owners do not realize that their market has two sectors to it one being General clients the other a Specific Niche clientele. Today the marketing Gurus and agencies market to the general clientele looking for a % return through focusing to a general group with their message.

In Specific Niche marketing you first need to identify who your targeting your message to and Why, this is where perseverance, determination and finally motivation all come into play. The WHY is the key to successful Niche marketing as it slowly develops a strong business relationship with your clientele on a personal level not on a monetary basis.

“Oh” Yes there are many out there saying right now but that’s what I am doing already and am slowly losing them as clients. Remember in the opening statement I stated I was there as well believing I was steering the company but in reality was not.

If you believe your there then you should be able to answer these simple questions about your clientele:

What does he take in his coffee? When is his birthday or anniversary if married? How long has he been dating his current girlfriend? On a business note what position of authority does he/she hold with his/her company? Does your client require E/A or Concierge assistance when in your vehicle? Is your client able to utilize WiFi or charge his laptop or smartphone in your vehicle? How often does he/she fly out on business? How well do you know your client and his specific needs as a business person, to be specific is it important to him/her to be on time personally for appointments? How important is his/her family to them or are they career driven?

These are samples of the information you require in knowing who your marketing too within a Niche market. For some it will be too much as it takes perseverance, determination and motivation to develop a client data base which will allow you to direct market your clients on a personal level rather than a general market. The difference being in a Niche market you care about the individual in a General market your interested in how much they will spend.

As I said before this is just my opinion for what’s it worth but has worked for me over the last 14 years, Have a good one and all the best in your endeavors.

“Walk Not After The Flesh!”

WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH

OPENING COMMENT by Robert

The character is given from their walk, not from any particular act, but from their course and way. And the great question is, what is the principle of the walk, the flesh or the Spirit, the old or the new nature, corruption or grace? Which of these do we mind? for which of these do we make provision, by which of these are we governed, which of these do we take part with?

Let not our life be after the wills and motions of the flesh. Two motives he mentions here:

  1. We are not debtors to the flesh, neither by relation, gratitude, nor any other bond or obligation. We owe no suit nor service to our carnal desires; we are indeed bound to clothe and feed, and take care of the body, as a servant to the soul in the service of God, but no further.

We are not debtors to it; the flesh never did us so much kindness as to oblige us to serve it. It is implied that we are debtors to Christ and to the Spirit: there we owe our all, all we have and all we can do, by a thousand bonds and obligations.

Being delivered from so great a death by so great a ransom, we are deeply indebted to our deliverer. See 1 Corinthians 6:19,20.

  1. Consider the consequences, what will be at the end of the way. Here are life and death, blessing and cursing, set before us. If you live after the flesh, you shall die, that is, die eternally.

It is the pleasing, and serving, and gratifying, of the flesh, that are the ruin of souls that is the second death. Dying indeed is the soul’s dying: the death of the saints is but asleep.

But, on the other hand, You shall live, live and be happy to eternity that is the true life: If you through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body, subdue and keep under all fleshly lusts and affections, deny yourselves in the pleasing and humouring of the body, and this through the Spirit we cannot do it without the Spirit working it in us, and the Spirit will not do it without our doing our endeavour

So that in a word, we are put upon this dilemma, either to displease the body or destroy the soul.

  1. The Spirit of adoption is another privilege belonging to those that are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:14-16 1. All that are Christ’s are taken into the relation of Children to God, Romans 8:14. Observe, (1) Their property: They are led by the Spirit of God, as a scholar in his learning is led by his tutor, as a traveller in his journey is led by his guide, as a soldier in his engagements is led by his captain not driven as beasts, but led as rational creatures, drawn with the cords of a man and the bands of love. It is the undoubted character of all true believers that they are led by the Spirit of God. Having submitted themselves in believing to his guidance, they do in their obedience follow that guidance and are sweetly led into all truth and all duty.

ALL THE LABOUR OF MAN IS FOR HIS MOUTH!

OPENING COMMENT

Wisdom is as good as an inheritance, yea better. It shelters from the storms and scorching heat of trouble. Wealth will not lengthen out the natural life, but true wisdom will give spiritual life, and strengthen men for services under their sufferings.

Let us look upon the disposal of our condition as the work of God, and at last, all will appear to have been for the best. In acts of righteousness, be not carried into heats or passions, no, not by a zeal for God.

Be not conceited of thine own abilities; nor find fault with everything, nor busy thyself in other men’s matters. Many who will not be wrought upon by the fear of God, and the dread of hell, will avoid sins which ruin their health and estate and expose to public justice.

But those that truly fear God, have but one end to serve, therefore act steadily. If we say we have not sinned, we deceive ourselves. Every true believer is ready to say, God is merciful to me a sinner.

Forget not at the same time, that personal righteousness, walking in newness of life, is the only real evidence of an interest by faith in the righteousness of the Redeemer.

Wisdom teaches us not to be quick in resenting affronts. Be not desirous to know what people say; if they speak well of thee, it will feed thy pride, if ill, it will stir up thy passion.

See that thou approve thyself to God and thine own conscience, and then heed not what men say of thee; it is easier to pass by twenty affronts than to avenge one. When any harm is done to us, examine whether we have not done as bad to others.

CLOSING OBSERVATION

A man often has all he needs for outward enjoyment; yet the Lord leaves him so to covetousness or evil dispositions, that he makes no good or comfortable use of what he has.

A numerous family was a matter of fond desire and of high honour among the Hebrews; and long life is the desire of mankind in general.

A little will serve to sustain us comfortably, and a great deal can do no more. The desires of the soul find nothing in the wealth of the world to give satisfaction.

The poor man has comfort as well as the richest and is under no real disadvantage. We cannot say, Better is the sight of the eyes than the resting of the soul in God; for it is better to live by faith in things to come, than to live by sense, which dwells only upon present things. Our lot is appointed. We have what pleases God and let that please us.

The greatest possessions and honours cannot set us above the common events of human life. Seeing that the things men pursue on earth increase vanities, what is a man the better for his worldly devices?

Our life upon earth is to be reckoned by days. It is fleeting and uncertain, and with little in it to be fond of, or to be depended on.

Let us return to God, trust in his mercy through Yeshua (Jesus Christ), and submit to his will. Then soon shall we glide through this vexatious world, and find ourselves in that place, where there is fulness of joy and pleasures forevermore in the presence of God and His Son Yeshua.

122ff86d580bb8fa83714e974438a3858387422932175195067.jpgLord hear our prayer as we kneel before your throne. We thank you, Father,, for all which you have bestowed upon us, patience, wisdom, perseverance, determination. Most of all Father we thank you for taking us through tribulations which have drawn us closer to you. Thank you, Lord, for showing us our weaknesses and filling us with understanding which elevates us through all your trials and tribulations. Thank you, Father, for teaching us to be joyous in all things, through your wisdom and patience. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen.

Remember these articles are messages of a humble, obedient Servant called to be a Watchman sounding the Trumpet to make the flock aware.

God’s blessings to those who hear the Trumpet. And know true messengers cannot be delegated they must have the spirit of God in them as Peter did whenwith eyes full of heavenly light and heart glowing with sacred firedeclared YeshuaThou art the Christ, the Son of the living God!”

May God bring blessings to all who walk in the name of Yeshua as Adopted children. “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; (For we walk by faith, not by sight).”We are confident, I say, and willing rather be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” (2Corinthians 5:6-8)

GOD’S MERCIES

Who can have compassion on the ignorant and on them that are out of the way? For that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. (Hebrews 5:2)PARABLE OF GOOD SAMARITAN 1

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

Do we fully comprehend the depth of God’s mercies? When the Holy Spirit first presented this information, I did not realize the extent and how on a moment to moment basis our lives are affected by His mercies. I recognized without God’s compassion and People 507patience (Mercies) the world we walk in could not exist. To fully understand this I went to “Merriam Webster’s Dictionary,” and found the following definitions which shed a deeper understanding of how I will now interpret God’s mercies. Once I started the research into the first word it became clear there would be further definitions which support each other, to check out and absorb, the first being  “Mercy”: kind or forgiving treatment of someone who could be treated harshly: kindness or help given to people who are in a very bad or desperate situation. Which lead me to define “Mercies”: compassion or forbearance shown especially to an offender or to one subject to one’s power; also lenient or compassionate treatment. This, in turn, leads to defining forbearance: The quality of someone who is patient and able to deal with a difficult person or situation without becoming angry. We are then lead to determine tolerance: Willingness to accept feeling, habits, or beliefs that are different from your own.

This article will bring life to all the situations where God our Father in heaven and Yeshua His Son who sits on the right-hand side of the throne. Will exercise all the definitions described recognizing and accepting they (definitions) are all rolled into one phrase “God’s Mercies” and how that phrase applies to those in the world believer and nonbeliever.

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Planet Earth 005Father in heaven we bow before your throne Lord in humility desiring to learn of your mercies. Raising hands in an exaltation of your Glory in those mercies. Fill us with discernment Lord so we might have the understanding of your mercies and the words to share with those ignorant of your mercies so they might become aware of them, Father. This we pray in your name Yeshua Amen and Amen.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

ELIJAH & ALTARThe mercies of God to sinners are made known in a manner well suited to impress all who receive them, with his majesty and holiness. The people worshipped and praised God. When he manifests himself as a consuming Fire to sinners, his people can rejoice in him as their Light. No, they had reason to say, that God was right in this. It is of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, but the sacrifice in our stead, for which we should be very thankful. And whoever beholds with true faith, the Saviour agonizing and dying for man’s sin, will, by that view, find his godly sorrow enlarged, his hatred of sin increased, his soul made CRUCIFIXION 05more watchful, and his life more holy. In the days of his flesh, Christ made himself subject to death: he hungered: he was a tempted, suffering, dying Yeshua. Christ set an example, not only to pray but to be fervent in prayer. How many dry prayers, how few wetted with tears, do we offer up to God! He was strengthened to support the immense weight of suffering laid upon him. There is no real deliverance from death but to be carried through it Psalm 23:4 “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me“. He was raised and exalted, and to him was given the power of saving all sinners to the uttermost, who come unto God through him. YeshuaPeople 521 left us an example that we should learn humble obedience to the will of God, by all our afflictions. We need distress, to teach us a submission. His compliance in our nature encourages our attempts to obey, and for us to expect support and comfort under all the temptations and sufferings to which we are exposed. Being made perfect for this great work, he has become the Author of eternal salvation to all that obey him. But are we of that numberMatthew Henry (1662 -1774) relates the depth of Gods Mercies. The word will direct and quicken prayer, for by it the Spirit helps our infirmities in prayer. The careful BIBLE 21study of God’s word will more and more discover to us our own sinfulness and the plenteousness of his salvation; thus it calls us to mourn for sin and to rejoice in him. Every discovery of the truth of God should render us more unwearied in attendance on his sacred word, and on his worship.

BALAAM 2Those who chiefly care to make it cheap and easy to themselves, know not what religion is, and who are best pleased with which costs them least pains or money. For what have we our substance, but to honor God with it; and how can it be better bestowed? Yeshua is our Altar, our Sacrifice; in him alone we may expect to escape his wrath and to find favor with God. Death is destroying, in so many forms, and so suddenly, that it is madness not to expect and prepare for the close of life.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) in his commentary relates how to connect with God’s Mercies. “If we confess our sins, we may pray in faith that God would forgive them, and take away, by pardoning mercy, that sin which we cast away by sincere repentance. What we make the matter of our pride, it is just in God to take from us, or make bitter to us, and make it our punishment. This must be such a punishment as the people have a large share in, for though it was David’s sin that opened the JESUS & FOLLOWERSsluice, the sins of the people all contributed to the flood. In this difficulty, David chose a judgment which came immediately from God, whose mercies he knew to be very significant, rather than from men, who would have triumphed in the miseries of Israel and have been thereby hardened in their idolatry. He chose the pestilence; he and his family would be as much exposed to it as the poorest Israelite; and he would continue for a shorter time under the Divine rebuke, however severe it was. The rapid destruction by the pestilence shows how easily God can bring down the proudest sinners, and how much we owe daily to the Divine patience.

The Apostle Paul after proving various doctrines which are practically applied, entreated the Romans, as his brethren in Yeshua, by the mercies of God, to present their bodies as a living sacrifice to Him. This is a powerful appeal. We receive from the Lord every day the fruits of his mercy. Let us render ourselves; all we are, all we have, all we can do: and after all, what return is it for such very rich receivings? It is acceptable to God: a  reasonable service, which we are able and ready to give a reason for, and which we understand. Conversion and sanctification are the renewings of the mind; a change, not of the substance, but of the qualities of the soul. The progress of sanctification, dying to sin more and more, and living to righteousness more and more, is the carrying on this renewing work until it is perfected in glory. The great enemy to this renewal is conformity to this world. Take heed of forming plans for happiness, as though it lay in the things of this world, which soon pass away. Do not fall in with the customs of those who walk in the lusts of the flesh, and mind earthly things. The work of the Holy Ghost first begins in the uWASHING FEETnderstanding and is carried on to the will, affections, and conversation, till there is a change of the whole man into the likeness of God, in knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness. Thus, to be godly is to give up ourselves to God.

The professed love of Believers to each other should be sincere, free from deceit, and unmeaning and deceitful compliments. Depending on Divine grace, they must detest and dread all evil, and love and delight in whatever is kind and useful. We must not only do that which is good, but we must cleave to it. All our duty towards one another is summed up in one word, love. This denotes the love of parents to their children; which is more tender and natural than any other; unforced, unconstrained. And love to God and man, with zeal for the gospel, will make the wise Believer diligent in all his worldly business, and in gaining superior skill.

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert

“Oh,” Father in heaven as we kneel before thy throne hear our sincere prayers of deep gratitude for all the mercies you are bestowing on our lives daily. Hear our heartfelt appreciation for your patience and in that patience blessing us with your grace and Salvation. As well affording us the opportunity to right our lives and HOLY SPIRITdevelop a deep relationship with your Son Yeshua learning through the Holy Spirit how to draw closer to Him and you Father. We acknowledge Lord our continued work is required for our relationship to deepen and bring forward greater discernment and understanding of your heavenly blessings being offered through your continued Mercies. Thank you, Father, for all your tender mercies and Deep Love and compassion you show for us and the world. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen.

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert

Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) in the following commentary sums it up best. “God is honored by our hope and trust in him, especially when we rejoice in that hope. He is served, not only by working for him but by sitting still quietly, when he calls us to suffer. Patience for God’s sake is true piety. Those that rejoice in hope are likely to be patient in tribulation. We should not be cold in the duty of prayer, nor soon JESUS 02weary of it. Not only must there be kindness to friends and brethren, but Believers must not harbor anger against enemies. It is but mock love, which rests in words of kindness, while our brethren need real supplies, and it is in our power to furnish them. Be ready to entertain those who do good: as there is occasion, we must welcome strangers. Bless, and curse not. It means thorough good will; not, bless them when at prayer, and curse them at other times; but bless them always, and curse not at all. True Believer love will make us take part in the sorrows and joys of each other. Labour as much as you can to agree in the same spiritual truths, and when you come short of that, yet agree in affection. Look upon worldly pomp and dignity with holy contempt. Do not mind it; be not in love with it. Be reconciled to the place God in his providence puts you in, whatever it be. Nothing is below us, but sin. We shall never find in our hearts to condescend to others, while we indulge conceit of ourselves; therefore that must be mortified.

Remember these messages are warnings from our Father to a dedicated servant as His Watchman bringing forward His call to hear and see as the Trumpet is sounded ADAM & EVE 15for all to know danger and evil are in our presence to do harm. May our Lord bless all with discernment to recognize the wiles of the enemy as he presents his subtle temptations before us as fruit we shouldn’t partake.

1Chronicles 29:3 Moreover because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

Blessings be with you all. Go in peace and our Fathers name.

“ONE FIERY DART!”

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. (2Peter 2:9)

PREAMBLE by Robert

Knowing the nature of man, the Holy Spirit has brought us a warning not to fall into our practical life and succumb to our body’s temptations (passivity). Apostle Paul warned we need to put our bodies into submission. Coming out of the darkness truly is a miracle recognizing you were a spiritual prisoner of war subject to the wiles of the enemy, under Satan’s control and whims.

Being born again is literally having your spirit removed from Satan’s power. Brought into the light of Yeshua as a new spirit now filled with the knowledge of your free will, supported by precious Faith having the ability to decide where your walk is going to take you, and who you are going to follow to get to life, eternity and reconnection with God.

“OK,” there are those who will scoff at what I am about to reveal! They were around in Paul’s time as well. However, Paul left us knowledge of how to deal with them, and to recognize it’s important we don’t fall into the trap of thinking we are more than we really are, once we receive the gifts God will bestow on His elect.

I believe those who have followed our articles, who have fervently made the changes in their walks and are repentantly walking in the light of Yeshua, are those elect who would and will receive God’s gifts.  As such no matter the depth of your walk or position you believe you’re in with Yeshua, please study this article as it is for all, Satan’s plans are so subtle and his minions very highly skilled, patient, and crafty. We are all affected by his plans to cause us to stumble

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

Foliage Background 052Heavenly Father, hear this short petition which I lay before your throne and plead for your attention. Father, as you called to have your children come out of the darkness and false teachings, audit their walk and return to your laws. My petition is to provide through the Holy Spirit guidance protection and a clear mind to see the snares in place and those laying in wait. Bring them Father knowledge of how to recognize your will through the Holy Spirits tutoring. Provide food for their soul to nurture their free will and strengthen its understanding of how to exercise it and make it more efficient in their pursuit of Salvation Life and Eternity. This I pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

Paul, in his letter in 1Corinthians 4:7-13, describes a condition the Corinthians had fallen into and what they should do to fix it. I believe the Holy Spirit has brought us to 1Corinthians 4:7-13 to show us where we actually stand in God’s presence. Matthew Henry’s (1662 – 1774) comments emphasize the importance of this position in the believer’s life, no matter the depth of their walk.  “We have no reason to be proud. All we have, or are, or do, which is good, is owing to the free and abundant grace of God. A sinner snatched from destruction by sovereign grace alone, must be very absurd and inconsistent, if proud of the free gifts of God.

Transportation 0002In my earlier comments, I eluded to our will being once again free to guide us in our choices of who we follow for guidance in our journey to eternity. The previous articles have been preparing us for battle. Have you not wondered who it is we are to do battle with? I am bringing forward information presented by Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 – 1927) on pg 70 -71 from her Unabridged book “WAR ON THE SAINTS,” where she describes our most vulnerable time as born-again followers of Yeshua. She states, “There is a passivity of the will; the “Will” being the helm, so to speak, of the ship. This originates from a wrong conception of what full surrender to God means.

Thinking that a “surrendered will” to God means no use of the will at all, the believer ceases to (1,) choose (2) determine, and (3) act of his own volition. The dangerous effect of this, he is allowed by the powers of darkness to discover, for at first, the consequences are trivial and scarcely noticeable. In fact, at first, it appears to be most glorifying to God. The “strong-willed” person suddenly becomes passively yielding. He thinks that God is “willing” for him in the circumstances, and through people, and so he becomes passively helpless in action.

Ms. Penn Lewis is precise in her rendition on passivity and then goes on to identify the scripture most misinterpreted Philippians 2:13 “It is God which worketh in you, both to will, and to work His good pleasure. ‘The affected person reads it, “… God which worketh in me the willing, and the doing,” i.e., willeth instead of me.” The first means God working in the soul up to the point of the action of the will. And the second assumes His actually “will”-ing instead of, and “working instead of the believer.

This wrong interpretation gives ground for not using the will, because of the conclusion “God wills instead of me”; thus bringing about the passivity of will.

pexels-photo-851020.jpegWhy am I bringing this information to the forefront? What is the Holy Spirit attempting to show us? When we go to Philippians 2:12, perhaps he is showing us that God is supporting what we are required to do when working out our Salvation. Giving us the answers to our prayers we place before Him once we use our free will in determining how and what we will be using to work out our Salvation.

You see Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) comments, “He exhorts them to diligence and seriousness in the Christian course: Work out your own Salvation. It is the salvation of our souls (1Peter 1:9), and our eternal redemption (Hebrews 5:9) and contains deliverance from all the evils sin had brought upon us and exposed us to, and the possession of all good and whatsoever is necessary to our complete and final happiness.

The word signifies working thoroughly at a thing and taking true painsWe must be diligent in the use of all the means which conduce to our salvation.

We must not only work for our salvation, by doing all that is to be done and preserving therein to the end. Salvation is the great thing we should mind and set our hearts upon, and we cannot attain salvation without the utmost care and diligence. He adds, With fear and trembling, that is, with great care and circumspection:

“Trembling for fear lest you miscarry and come short. Be careful to do everything in Christianity in the best manner, and fear lest under all your advantages you should so much as seem to come short.” (Hebrews 4:1) Fear is a great guard and preservative from evil.

KNIGHT 14If you recall in an earlier article, I stated we have been snatched from Satan, and as such, he would then recognize us and develop a plan to win back control over us. Please note his attacks now will be to prevent our movement forward within God’s light by any means he can.

The Holy Spirit revealed one of his very subtle plans is just to have us following one of his minions, believing it is God we are following or receiving instruction from which is the Passivity of our will. This is usually one of his very first attacks bringing believers into the passivity of their free will, bringing it into idleness. Remember, our free will, when combined with faith (which is powerful already), becomes what I call supercharged and unmoveable and impossible for Satan to defeat. Then connect the information garnered through the use of your will (discernment, understanding, wisdom, mercy, tolerance, patience, devotion, godliness, and goodwill) placed before God’s throne for confirmation and received via the Holy Spirit as God’s will and confirmation (Philippians 2:13). I believe we now know why Satan wants us to become passive prisoners again because once we recognize these gifts operating through and in our free will, there really is no one who can stand against us (Romans 8:31).

Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 – 1927) from her book War on the Saints from pg 74 – 75 explains, “GOD DOES NOT WILL INSTEAD OF MAN”! The truth to be emphasized is that God never “wills” INSTEAD of man, and whatever a man does, he is himself responsible for his actions. The believer whose “will” has become passive, finds after a time, the most significant difficulty in making decisions of any kind, and he looks outside, and all around him for something to help him to decide the smallest matters. When he has become conscious of his passive condition, he has a sharp sense of being unable to meet some of the situations of ordinary life. If spoken to, he knows he cannot listen till a sentence is completed; if asked to judge a matter, he knows he cannot do it. If he is required to “remember” or use his imagination, he knows he is unable to and becomes terrified at any proposed course of action where these demands may come upon him.

PERSONAL TESTIMONY by Robert

At this point, I am being compelled by the Holy Spirit to share. What has been brought to me by the Holy Spirit as tools and weapons for those caught in Passivity? To battle their way back into control of their will. Please recognize it will be a significant spiritual battle; however, totally winnable if the individual follows the lead of the TEN COMMANDMENTSHoly Spirits guidance and input.

Currently, I am spiritually assisting and emotionally supporting a gentleman who is fighting Passivity in his Christian walk, which has been compromised for a lengthy number of years. This situation was brought to my attention by his wife. Who has had enough and was frustrated with where their relationship is going. As for any further background, I am not going to relate as it is not necessary nor lends anything to what I am about to testify as I would see it as gossip. For simplification of this part, I will refer to the gentleman as J.

The purpose of this testimony is to place before those following Yeshua’s lead through the Holy Spirit’s information, which will inform support and return control over their free will. I believe what is being shared is the power of God being applied through the leading of the Holy Spirit to an individual in a spiritual battle to regain complete control over his Free Will.

Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 -1927) gave us pertinent information to understand how Satan could be successful by the lack of information (proper spiritual teachings), acknowledging we are at war from the moment we accept Yeshua as our saviour. What will bring back total control over this individual’s Free Will, which is in passivity, is sound information obtained by that person to recognize, work and use as a weapon, that information being supplied by the Holy Spirit. This battle is personal, however, supported by the Holy Spirit using me (Robert) as a willing vessel to lend physical support to a fellow Christian.  Remember, it is my heart’s desire to save a soul from death; anyone being in a passive state is on the broad path to destruction; they just don’t realize it.

*** A spiritual rule Satan cannot operate in our lives unless we give him permission SNAKE 02to do so.*** I can hear many stating I would never do that willingly. Here is an example of how easy it is for Satan to gain ground in our lives ever had a thought about a sin of any nature and not rebuked it, grounds are given. When a thought enters our mind it is our responsibility to be in control (James 2:4) Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? It matters not where the idea originated from. It’s what we do with it when recognized.

The Holy Spirit showed me how J was being held in passivity and what I needed to relate to J for him to understand who he was, always praying for spiritual leading. J has suffered from inaction for approximately 25 years, which has over those years, destroyed his ability to hold a job, has driven his children away and, at this point, divided him and his wife. Many of the symptoms Jesse Penn Lewis described have established themselves as regular living habits for J. For me to begin working with J, I needed to build trust and that I was working as an instrument of God through the Holy Spirits guidance.

With that established, I began to demonstrate how J was placing himself into submission to this entity he believed was his god. I presented a simple question which involved the use of his free will. J immediately went into prayer, asking for leading how to deal with this request. I pointed out he didn’t need to pray and to recognize who he was or had been praying to and that it was not God but a demon posing as God. I quoted James 3:16 For where envying and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work.

Why I used this scripture was to show J what was in his life and why he lost the respect of his children why he had no real friends why people were shunning him why people could not carry on a sensible conversation as well why he seemed to be in a confused state at all times. The other thing I offered him to see was his inability to make a decision on his own, especially when it involved his free will. I showed him where he immediately went into prayer, asking for guidance, which was really not necessary.

MAN WITH SWORDI related the following information and exercise for J to follow over the next period of time to slowly break free from the grasp and dependency on praying for guidance. I showed J he needed to halt all information about spirituality before accepting it as truth. For J, it was a simple word “NO,” he had to learn how to say and take “NO” when any spiritual thoughts entered into his mind or conversation. I explained this was the first step to retaking control of his free will by preventing any form of information coming into that thought process. I related his next step was to stop all processing of data until he could move onto the next phase of deciphering who was providing the information. He was not to immediately pray nor without exception accept any thought process. The next step was to ask how the information pertained to his personal relationship with God, then ask if the info edified his walk. Third, did it edify the Lord the third stage was to determine who this information was from based on data from the first two? The final step once learned who was delivering info J would either accept as from Holy Spirit or reject from a false god. Each step was forcing j to use his free will gather information to take and place before the throne in prayer, asking for confirmation and edification in the spirit.

What I pointed out to J was each time he went to his free will, it was getting stronger and easier to use, just like exercising a muscle. As well he was gaining more and more control, pushing this entity further and further away from him by standing on truth instead of lies. What I was showing him was that once we put everything on hold and discern the information is from the Holy Spirit. Is why we are then to pray and place our concerns or questions and queries. For confirmation before the throne of God.  I took him to Romans 8:26-28 v26. Likewise, the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought. But the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. v27. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Here is where I showed J his misunderstanding of Philippians 2:13 and how God’s will is applied to us as saints. v28. And we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

Currently, I am still working with J as this is an ongoing battle with the progress and freedoms of J’s free will won. However, there are more battles ahead as over time, many different lies deceptions and fiery darts have been put into place. Jesse Penn Lewis (1861 -1927 has described possibly seven other spirits operating as passivity. I see it as an Octopus with eight tentacles. Each one must be dealt with in like manner using J’s rejuvenated free will and polished faith. I will periodically put a testimony as it applies to future articles. This is an example of continuing to work out our Salvation, bringing our flesh into subjection who it is and what we are at war with. Again I welcome you to Fighting the first fight rescuing a lost soul from death. Thank you for your patience.

CLOSING COMMENTS

I want to close with Matthew Henry’s (1662 – 1774) comments on Romans 8:26 – 28. Because I feel he in his commentary is showing us just how much we need to learn about our walks and relationship with our Father Yehwah, the son Yeshua and our teacher and comforter the Holy Spirit.  “Our weakness in prayer: 1). We know not what we should pray for as we ought. As to the matter of our requests, we know not what to ask. We are not competent judges of our own condition. Who knows what is good for a man in his life? (Ecclesiastes 6:12). We are short-sighted, and very much biased in favour of the flesh, and apt to separate the end from the way. You know not what you ask, (Matthew 20:22). We are like foolish children, that are ready to cry for fruit before it is ripe and fit for them to see (Luke 9:54,55).  2). As to the manner, we know not how to pray as we ought. It is not enough that we do that which is good, but we must do it well, seek in due order, and here we are often at a loss -graces are weak, affections cold, thoughts wandering, and it is not always easy to find the heart to pray. (2Samuel 7:27). The Apostle speaks of this in the first person: We know not. He puts himself among the rest. Folly, and weakness, and distraction in prayer are what all the saints are complaining of. If so great a saint knew not what to pray for, what little reason have we to go forth about that duty in our own strength!”

Satan sends this fiery dart of passivity towards the unsuspecting saint, knowing when it strikes its mark paralyzing this warrior preventing him from moving forward. He prevents the Holy Spirit from providing comfort teaching uplifting, and most of all, pray for God’s intervening will to be done. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774)  reveals what is being prevented by this fiery dart once in place. “The assistance which the Spirit gives us in that duty. He helps our infirmities, meant especially of our praying infirmities, which most easily beset us in that duty, against which the Spirit helps. The Spirit in the world helps many rules and promises there are in the word for our help. The Spirit in the heart helps, dwelling in us, working in us, as a part of grace and supplication, especially with respect to the infirmities we are under when we are in a suffering state when our faith is most apt to fail for this end the Holy Ghost was poured out. Helpeth heaves with us, over against us, help as we help one with that would lift up a burden, by lifting over against him at the other end – helps with us, that is, with us doing our endeavour, putting forth the strength we have. We must not sit still and expect that the Spirit should do all when the Spirit goes before us, we must bestir ourselves. We cannot without God, and he will not without us. What help? Why, the Spirit itself makes intercession for us, dictates our requests, indites our petitions, draws up our plea for us.

Here is the answer for those wounded spiritually by the fiery dart of passivity. As you break the bindings on your free will and then use it to discern the messages and teaching of the Holy Spirit. Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) further explains how we gain our complete freedoms from infirmities Christ intercedes for us in heaven, the Spirit intercedes for us in our hearts so graciously has God provided for the encouragement of the praying remnant. The Spirit, as an enlightening Spirit, LANTERN 1teaches us what to pray for, as a sanctifying Spirit works and excites praying graces, as a comforting Spirit silences our fears, and helps us over all our discouragements. The Holy Spirit is the spring of all our desires and breathings towards God. Now this intercession which the Spirit makes is with groanings that cannot be uttered. The strength and fervency of those desires in which the Holy Spirit works are hereby intimated. There may be praying in the Spirit where there is not a word spoken as Moses prayed (Exodus 14:15) and Hannah (1Samuel 1:13). It is not the rhetoric and eloquence, but the faith and fervency of our prayers, that the spirit works, as an intercessor, in us.

The Spirit in the heart never contradicts the Spirit in the word. Those desires that are contrary to the will of God do not come from the Spirit. The Spirit interceding in us evermore melts our wills into the will of God. Not as I will, but as thou will.

“ADOPTION”!

JESUS 18

Yeshua saith unto him, I am the way the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
What know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (1 Cor. 6:16-17.)

PRE-AMBLE by Robert
DEVIL IN FIRE 1

Do we truly understand what is involved when we are adopted and joined to Yeshua through Salvation? Is it clear who in the past we were spiritually attached to as described in the book of Revelation 17:1-15 and who it is we are being adopted by and what will come through the adoption? Indeed, we are shown the gifts and where we will receive them and what they will mean to us when we do. However, there is more to this adoption and what it will bring to us in the future. As we are able to see through the visions, John relates to us in the book of Revelation 17:1-15.

Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) in commentary describes what an adoptee (believer) is about to receive here in this life. “Unto every believer is given some gift of grace, for their

BAPTISM 11

mutual help. All is given as seems best to Christ to bestow upon every one. He received for them that he might give to them, a large measure of gifts and graces; particularly the gift of the Holy Ghost. Not a mere head knowledge, or bare acknowledging Yeshua to be the Son of God, but such as brings trust and obedience. There is a fullness in Yeshua, and a measure of that fulness given in the counsel of God to every believer; but we never come to the perfect measure till we come to heaven. God’s children are growing, as long as they are in this world; and the Christian’s growth tends to the glory of Yeshua. The more a man finds himself drawn out to improve in his station, and according to his measure, all that he has received, to the spiritual good of others, he may the more certainly believe that he has the grace of sincere love and charity rooted in his heart.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
JACOB'S LADDER 2

Father in heaven through humility and a lack of understanding we come before your throne to petition for the following. Bring into our walk knowledge, discernment, a spirit of acceptance of your truths as they are revealed to us through the Holy Spirit. Fill us with the courage to move forward as adopted children connected to Yeshua as one. Protect and provide for us Father as we continue our journey to your Eternal life and Glory as adopted children in your family of saints. This we pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
SHEPHERD 4

The Holy Spirit brought me to Ephesians to see and relate a warning given to Ephesus by Paul so we will not fall into the same pitfalls as they did. Paul In Ephesians 2:1-3 provides a description of those pitfalls we need to be aware of as “Modern Day Disciples,” I am previewing V3 for us to see the depth of the warning. “Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Paul charged the Ephesians and is charging us Yeshua’s “Modern Day Disciples” in the name and by the authority of our Lord Yeshua, “That having

PEOPLE 610

professed the gospel, they/we should not be as the unconverted Gentiles, who walked in vain fancies and carnal affections. Do not men, on every side, walk in the vanity of their minds? Must not we then urge the distinction between real and nominal Christians/Believers? They were/are void of all saving knowledge; they sat in darkness and loved it rather than light. They have a dislike and hatred to a life of holiness, which is not only the way of life God requires and approves, and by which we live to him, but which has some likeness to God himself in his purity, righteousness, truth, and goodness. The fact of Yeshua appears in its beauty and power when it appears as in Yeshua. The corrupt nature is called a man; like the human body, it is of divers parts, supporting and strengthening one another. Sinful desires are deceitful lusts; they promise men happiness, but render them more miserable; and bring them to destruction, if not subdued and mortified. These,

JESUS & FOLLOWERS

therefore, must be put off, as an old garment, a filthy garment; they must be overcome and mortified. But it is not enough to shake off corrupt principles; we must have gracious ones. By the new man, is meant the unique nature, the new creature, directed by a new faith, even regenerating grace, enabling a man to lead a new life of righteousness and holiness. This is created, or brought forth by God’s almighty power.
I see this as the acknowledgment of being adopted into the family and connected to Yeshua as one. Now hearing from Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) it is revealed how to accept the adoption into the family and be received into the arms of Yeshua becoming as one. “Notice the

particulars wherewith we should adorn our Believers profession. Take heed of everything contrary to truth. No longer flatter or deceive others. God’s people are children who will not lie, who dare not lie, who hate and abhor lying. Take heed of anger and ungoverned passions. If there is just occasion to express displeasure at what is wrong and to reprove, see that it be without sin. We give place to the devil, when the first motions of sin are not grievous to our souls; when we consent to them; and when we repeat an evil deed. This teaches that as sin, if yielded unto, lets in the devil upon us, we are to resist it, keeping from all appearance of evil. Idleness makes thieves. Those who will not work, expose themselves to temptations to steal. Men ought to be industrious, that they may do some good, and that they may be kept from temptation. They must labor, not only that they may live honestly, but that they may have to give to the wants of others. What then must we think of those who today are called Christians, who grow rich by fraud, oppression, and deceitful practices! Alms, to be accepted of God, must not be gained by unrighteousness and robbery, but by honesty and industry. God hates robbery for burnt-offerings.
Could Paul have been some 2000+ years been describing our modern day churches and the Hirelings overseeing them as leaders? Could Paul of been describing the hoards who are walking in a delusion of who their worldly god of love is and who they are portraying their Messia is and end up as merchandise.

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert
In closing, I desire to express how I feel personally as an adopted child of our LordSPIRIT 09. What I recognize through these offerings and teachings from the Holy Spirit and the Apostles of old is what indeed is essential in our walk to be Adopted into the family and connected to Yeshua. We are cautioned as “Modern Day Disciples” on how to handle the Word of God using dedication, sincerity, and integrity.
Recognizing the craftiness, subtleness, cunning, underhand dealing the enemy will use as “fiery darts” (https://romboughrobert.wordpress.com/2017/09/19/one-fiery-dart/ knowing if any hit home the result is revealed in 2Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should not be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Yeshua“.

To me, Adoption brings me an understanding of what lies ahead. The Adopted believer not only is well assured by faith that there is another, and happy life after this is ended, but he has good hope, through grace, of heaven as a dwelling-place, a resting-place, a hiding-place. In our Father’s house, there are many mansions, whose Builder and Maker is God.
The happiness of the future state is what God has prepared for those that love him: everlasting habitations, not like the earthly tabernacles, these poor cottages of clay, in which our souls now dwell; whose foundations are in the dust.
Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) relates “Death will strip us of the clothing of flesh, and all the comforts of life, as well as end all our troubles here below. But believing souls shall be clothed with garments of praise, with robes of righteousness and

Scan_20180701

glory. The present graces and comforts of the Spirit are earnests of everlasting grace and compassion. And though God is with us here, by his Spirit, and in his ordinances, yet we are not with him as we hope to be. Faith is for this world, and sight is for the other world. It is our duty, and it will be our interest, to walk by faith, until we live by sight. This shows clearly the happiness to be enjoyed by the souls of believers when absent from the body, and where Yeshua makes known his glorious presence. We are related to the body and as Adoptees to the Lord; each claims a part in us. But how much more powerfully the Lord pleads for having the soul of the believer firmly united with himself! Thou art one of the souls I have loved and chosen; one of those given to me. What is death, as an object of fear, compared with being absent from the Lord!
As an Adoptee I recognize, all who are designed for heaven hereafter are wrought

PEOPLE 5

or prepared for heaven while they are here. The stones of that spiritual building and temple above are squared and fashioned here below. And he that has wrought us for this is God because nothing less than a divine power can work us for this thing. A great deal is to be done to prepare our souls for heaven, and that preparation of the heart is from the Lord.
