“WARNING!”   THIS WILL NOT TICKLE YOUR EARS! MANY WILL THINK I’M PREACHING TO THE CHOIR! IF IT OFFENDS, GOOD, THEN FIND OUT WHY! BECAUSE WE’RE INTO THE NITTY GRITTY AS TIME IS SHORT AND YAHEWAH IS CALLING!

PONDER THIS THOUGHT! WHAT DO THE WORLDLY SEE WHEN OUR LIGHT OF LIFE IS UPON THEM? HOW DO WE SEE OURSELVES IN THAT LIGHT WHEN IT REFLECTS BACK UPON US? DOES IT SHOW OUR DISTINCT NATURE OR OUR CONTINUED UNITY WITH THE WORLDLY? WHAT DO THE WORLDLY SEE WHEN THEY GAZE UPON US IN THAT LIGHT, A BEACON, OR A REFLECTION OF THEMSELVES?

WE’RE GOING TO FIND OUT AND YOU MAY NOT LIKE WHAT YOU DISCOVER ABOUT YOUR WALK! YOU MAY THINK YOU’RE PART OF THE CHOIR AND FIND YOU’RE NOT!

SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Ephesians 4:17-18
[17]This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
[18]Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

OBSERVATION!

As I pondered this question it became apparent why the Lord beckons us not to be as the Gentiles are.

When our light of life hits them, the image they see of themselves is described in these words of Paul! 

Void of spiritual knowledge and having none, weak in faith, and fickle in their judgments, easily yielding to every temptation, readily complying with humour, and being at everyone’s beck and call. As children, they are easily influenced even though they make a great effort to portray a worldly image of an educated and mature individual, who is in control! Are you guilty of these attributes through association, and inadvertently have them as a part of your image? Heaven forbid.

As this image floods upon the Gentiles, as well as, those having heard and knowing the word of God, but choose to remain clinging onto their past, it should reveal to those, being the Sons of God and citizens of heaven, the purpose of our having to quickly shed our old habits and worldly wisdoms, and then quickly adopt our new man, and claim our Heavenly citizenship, thus obtaining the understanding and knowledge of having been truly freed from the slavery and bondage of the lusts and temptations of the worlds citizenship fraught with its sorrows, pains and endless sufferings, illnesses, and plagues!

Romans 12:2 KJV
[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Are then prone and fully capable of adopting the spiritual teachings of the Holy Spirit fully without the conflicts of the world’s wisdom that teaches lust and self-preservation, to easily adopt our new spiritual wisdom teaching conformity to a  walk as Heavenly citizens, building our personal relationships with Yahewa our Heavenly Father and Yeshua our interceder!

Psalms 91:1-2
[1]He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2]I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

With this reality staring back at us, it becomes clear that without our full declaration of heavenly citizenship, Yahweh’s shadow will not be there, Elohim is not about to impart any of his power or authority! As well when we would approach Adonai in prayer ponder what image you would be presenting! Considering this image, would, any other component of Yahewa be available to a partially committed carnally rationalized and justified individual, who would have trouble declaring what citizenship to claim?

Bottom line we determine the path! It’s not difficult we either trust and accept our Heavenly Citizenship with all its  gifts and walk in its freedom, or doubt, and remain a part of the crowd, fooling ourselves that we are free of the world! And the LORD said Matthew 7:14 KJV
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

IS IT PERHAPS WE HAVE BECOME TOO COMFORTABLY SETTLED IN OUR SPIRITUAL “ROCKING CHAIRS” AND FIND IT DIFFICULT TO STAND UP AND LET THE EXCUSES, RATIONALIZATIONS, AND JUSTIFICATIONS GO, SO THAT WE MIGHT OBTAIN THE TRUE FREEDOM OF A HEAVENLY CITIZENSHIP?

Consider the variety of gifts that Yeshua will bestow among his children! But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

The gospel is a word of grace sounding in our ears; but it will be in vain for us to hear it, unless we believe it, and comply with the end and design of it.

2Corinthians 6:2. The gospel day is a day of salvation, the means of grace the means of salvation, the offers of the gospel the offers of salvation, and the present time the only proper time to accept these offers:

Today, while it is called today. The morrow is none of ours: we know not what will be on the morrow, nor where we shall be; and we should remember that present seasons of grace are short and uncertain, and cannot be recalled when they are past.

It is therefore our duty and interest to improve them while we have them, and no less than our salvation depends upon our so doing.

COMMENTARY OFFERED BY MATTHEW HENRY (1662-1714).

Those who would approve themselves to God must approve themselves faithful in trouble as well as in peace, not only in doing the work of God diligently, but also in bearing the will of God patiently.

By acting from good principles. The apostle went by a good principle in all he did, and tells them what his principles were (2 Corinthians 6:6,7); namely, pureness; and there is no piety without purity. A care to keep ourselves unspotted from the world is necessary in order to our acceptance with God. Knowledge was another principle; and zeal without this is but madness.

He also acted with long-suffering and kindness, being not easily provoked, but bearing with the hardness of men’s hearts, and hard treatment from their hands, to whom he kindly endeavoured to do good. He acted under the influence of the Holy Ghost, from the noble principle of unfeigned love, according to the rule of the word of truth, under the supports and assistances of the power of God, having on the armour of righteousness (a consciousness of universal righteousness and holiness), which is the best defence against the temptations of prosperity on the right hand, and of adversity on the left.

OBSERVATION!

In closing it is imperative to recognize there are two choices. One is accept all the excuses, rationalizations, and justifications of man wisdom mixed with scriptural verses and follow the broad path believing all of yhe teachings you’ve received are bringing you to eternal life with Yahewa and Yeshua! Forgetting God emphatically states don’t conform with the world and like King Saul you listen to the people’s reasoning and fall as Saul did in disobedience!

Ezekiel 33:9
[9]Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

And like Saul have remained in your iniquity till death hearing the word preached acting on the name of Jesus but  unfortunately not building a personal relationship with Yahweh or Yeshua as

James 1:7-8
[7]For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
[8]A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

AND THAT IS THE BOTTOM LINE! WHOSE WISDOM YOU CHOOSE TO FOLLOW MAN OR GOD! LET ME QUOTE THIS “I LIVE FOR OUR SAVIOURS BIRTH EACH YEAR!”
