Romans 1:28
[28]And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

COMMENTARY

Thank you, Yahewa for revealing what is happening right before our eyes. The acceptance of normalizing the sin of Lust. Romans 1:28

When our societies throughout the world are deeply pondered, the answers found eulogize those current societies. I use eulogize because the society of our past as a whole is literally being decimated and is now rapidly symbolizing a putrified mass of rotting decay filled with what the Apostle Paul described 2000+ years ago in Romans 1:29 to 32.

Paul revealed how men declare the truth is not to their taste. And we all know how soon a man will contrive, against the strongest evidence, to reason himself out of the belief of what he dislikes. But a man cannot be brought to greater slavery than to be given up to his own lusts.

And we see the Apostles words manifesting right before our eyes daily. What is being toted as acceptable and normal behavior is amply described by Paul in Romans 1:29-32 as
[29]Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity whisperers
[30]Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31]Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32]Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I keep hearing how great it would be if we went back to the days when common sense ruled the day. Brothers and sisters, those days are dead and buried, and what is replacing it now is putrefying before us as a normal society.

A society filled with filthy lusts that should be rooted out but are being accepted as beig part of our new normal society. These sins must be dreaded and detested but are being treated as part of a normal society.

There are  cautions against these gross acts of sin, and as well against what many make light of not realizing these atrocities are so far from being profitable that they pollute and poison  hearers. There is hope  as long as there are those who hold to cheerfulness, which shows itself as becomes Christians, in what tends to God’s glory.

The following must be discerned to recognize how Satans subtleties within this social and moral decay has led believers into becoming covetous men and women, who surreptitiously replace God’s work with money; who then place their hope, confidence, and delight, in money and worldly compassion, which in  reality should be focused on God’s compassion only.

Those who allow themselves to remain in this form of delusion, do so through misguided human compassion which leads them either to the lusts of the flesh or eventually to  the love of the world, under the misconception their walk is righteous, but will find, they do not belong to the kingdom of grace, nor shall they come to the kingdom of glory. Suffering the same fate as the Isralites who left Egypt under Moses’ guidance. Who in their minds believed they were righteous and wandered in the desert for 40 years till their demise .

The question then is how are believers swayed? As I pondered Romans 1:23,25
[23]And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[25]Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

What stood out in both verses these individuals had changed two things what was seen as the glory of God as well as God’s truth. So they could remain in sin.

The sinfulness of man is described as ungodliness against the laws of the first table and unrighteousness against those of the second. The cause of that sinfulness is holding the truth in unrighteousness. All, more or less, do what they know to be wrong, and omit what they know to be right so that the plea of ignorance cannot be allowed from any.

Our Creator’s invisible power and Godhead are clearly shown in the works he has made, that even idolaters and wicked Gentiles are left without excuse. They foolishly followed idolatry; and rational creatures and changed the worship of the glorious Creator for that of brutes, reptiles, and senseless images.

They wandered from God, till all traces of true religion must have been lost, had not the revelation of the gospel prevented it. For whatever may be pretended, as to the sufficiency of man’s reason to discover Divine truth and moral obligation, or to govern the practice aright, facts cannot be denied.

These plainly show that men have dishonored God by the most absurd idolatries and superstitions and have degraded themselves by the vilest affections and most abominable deeds.

In this horrid depravity of the masses, the truth of our Lord’s words was shown: “Light was come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil; for he that doeth evil hateth the light” The truth was not to their taste.

Thus, has the glory and truth of God been removed and the normalization of sin being offered as our new normal within our functioning society.

I offer to those who discern the only path through these days of darkness is by walking 100% in faith and turning all over to God. Psalm 91:1-16.
