PRELUDE: It is my duty to bring forward this information. Please note that the Commentary offered are quotes by Matthew Henry (1662-1714) from his Book of Commentary.

The Observations offered are from Robert (1945 – current), offering his commentary through research and guidance of the Holy Spirit as Yeshua’s Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).

SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Acts 1:2,9-11
[2]Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost, had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
[9]And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
[10]And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
[11]Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

OBSERVATION!

This message is going to raise deep questions among those who profess to love our Lord and maintain a grasp on the wisdoms of the world!

This statement brought forward the following questions. Can those professing love for Yeshua and the Father in heaven maintain a grasp on the world’s universal wisdom and actually possess the Holy Spirit? Will the Holy Spirit function where there is enmity? Can that individual claim salvation and claim to be a newborn spirit? The importance of these questions and the answers will play a significant role in the walks and personal relationships of multitudes within the Ecclesia!

For those who believe we all receive salvation, yes, it is obtained by faith and repentance. However, ponder Matthew 13:3‐9

The other point is our names can be blotted out of the Book of Life. Consider our Heavenly Father’s words in

Revelation 3:5
[5]He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. If he won’t blot their names here, there are others he will blot out of the Book of Life.

Who is our Lord returning to meet in the clouds the righteous or the compromised?

Acts 1:11 [11]Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

As my research unfolded deeper into Scripture, the true significance of the Ecclesia returning to walking within Yahewa’s laws (Ten Commandments) is becoming ultra significant about the Lord’s call to return to fully walking with him, with all of our hearts, love, souls, snd strengths and definitely be pondering and fully discerning our position with Yahewa.

The revealing of how Elijah conducted his final day, similarly spent as Enoch’s, just prior to being lifted out, as was Yeshua’s. All three were actively sharing God’s words and love. What you are about to receive  in the Commentary is a template of Enoch’s position with God even though he walked in the world and it was unique as was Elijah’s and Yeshua’s and I pray those discerning this article will be maintaining a similar walk, as their template that all believers must maintain while we wait for our Lord’s return and found fulfilling our Lords command to be 

Matthew 10:6-8
[6]But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[7]And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[8]Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

This is the position believers should be involved in when the Trumpet sounds of our Lords return to gather his righteous flocks.

COMMENTARY!Genesis 5:22
[22]And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

The nature of Enoch’s religion and the scope and tenour of his conversation: he walked with God, which denotes, (1) True religion which is godliness, while walking with God?

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: The ungodly and profane are without God in the world, they walk contrary to him: but the godly walk with God, Romans 12:2 but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. which presupposes reconciliation to God, for two cannot walk together except they be in agreement (Amos 3:3), and includes all the parts and instances of a godly, righteous, and sober life.

To walk with God is to set God always before us and to act as those that are always under his eye. It is to live a life of communion with God both in ordinances and providences.

It is to make God’s word our rule and his glory our end in all our actions. It is to make it our constant care and endeavor in everything to please God and nothing to offend him.

It is to comply with his will, to concur with his designs, and to be workers together with him. It is to be followers of him as dear children

(2) Eminent religion. Enoch was entirely dead to this world and did not only walk after God, as all good men do, but he walked with God, as if he were in heaven already.

Enoch lived above the rate, not only of other men, but of other saints: not only good in bad times, but the best in good times

(3) Activity in promoting religion among others. Executing the priest’s office is called walking before God, 1Sam 2:30,35, and see Zechariah 3:7.

Enoch, it would seem, was a priest of the most high God, and like Noah, who is likewise said to have walked with God, he was a preacher of righteousness, and prophesied of Christ’s second coming. Jude 1:14,

Behold, the Lord cometh with his holy myriads. Now the Holy Spirit, instead of saying, Enoch lived, says, Enoch walked with God for it is the life of a good man to walk with God. This was, [1] The business of Enoch’s life, his constant care and work while others lived to themselves and the world, he lived to God [2] It was the joy and support of his life. Communion with God was to him better than life itself. Philippians 1:21 To me, to live is Christ,

OBSERVATION

Elisha, having this fair opportunity to enrich himself with the best riches, prays for a double portion of his spirit. He asks not for wealth, nor honour, nor exemption from trouble, but to be qualified for the service of God and his generation, he asks,

(1) For the Spirit, not that the gifts and graces of the Spirit were in Elijah’s power to give, therefore he says not, “Give me the Spirit” (he knew very well it was God’s gift), but “Let it be upon me, intercede with God for this for me”

Christ bade his disciples ask what they would, not one, but all, and promised to send the Spirit, with much more authority and assurance than Elijah could

(2) For his spirit, because he was to be a prophet in his room, to carry on his work, to father the sons of the prophets and face their enemies, because he had the same perverse generation to deal with that Elijah had, so that, if he have not his spirit, he has not strength according to the day

(3) For a double portion of his spirit; he does not mean double to what Elijah had, but double to what the rest of the prophets had, from whom so much would not be expected as from Elisha, who had been brought up under Elijah.

It is a holy ambition to covet earnestly the best gifts and those which will render us most serviceable to God and our brethren.

Note: We all ought, both ministers and people, to set before us the example of our predecessors, to labour after their spirit, and to be earnest with God for that grace which carried them through their work and enabled them to finish well.

Elijah promised him that which he asked, but under two provisos, 2 Kings 2:10 (1) Provided he put a due value upon it and esteem it highly: this he teaches him to do by calling it a hard thing, not too hard for God to do, but too great for him to expect.

Those are best prepared for spiritual blessings that are most sensible of their worth and their own unworthiness to receive them

(2) Provided he kept close to his master, even to the last, and was observant of him: If thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so, otherwise not.

A diligent attendance upon his master’s instructions and a careful observance of his example, particularly now in his last scene, were the condition and would be a proper means of obtaining much of his spirit.

Taking strict notice of the manner of his ascension would likewise be of great use to him. The comforts of departing saints and their experiences will mightily help both to gild our comforts and to steel our resolutions.

Or, perhaps, this was intended only as a sign: “If God favour thee so far as to give thee a sight of me when I ascend, take that for a token that he will do this for thee, and depend upon it” Christ’s disciples saw him ascend, and were thereupon assured that they should, in a little time, be filled with his Spirit, Acts 1:8.

Elisha, we may suppose, hereupon prayed earnestly, Lord, show me this token for good.  Elijah is carried up to heaven in a fiery chariot, 2 Kings 2:11. Like Enoch, he was translated that he should not see death.

The above are the conditions those desiring to meet our Lord in the clouds must meet. These will be the ones Yeshua has returned for, the ones who are walking with God sight unseen and will be transformed to meet in the clouds.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 NLT
Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.

Recognize that there is no death for all that are lifted out of this world to be Yeshua’s heavenly army, which will return to do battle at Armageddon. This same heavenly army will abide with Yeshua during his thousand year reign.
