[16]Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? Many believer’s state, I am attempting to take Yeshua (Jesus) out of their lives! This is far from the truth, and I ask you to remember Ephesians 33:9 you will remain in your iniquity living with your choice till your demise. And now, having made that choice being reminded of your position spiritually by Luke 10:16 KJV.

SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Galatians 4:9 KJV
[9]But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

OBSERVATION!

There are many forms within the Assemblies for Brothers and sisters to turn Our Lord’s messages into a merchandising tool. The one most horrendous is the flagrant one, where the appeals are based on guilting the victims through the use of scripture and visual aids showing mans miseries and sufferings!

How is it that you, who have been taught and are teaching to worship God in the gospel way, are not within yourselves persuaded to comply with the ceremonial way of worship?

That you, having been acquainted with a dispensation of light, liberty, and love, as that of the gospel is (remember there are many different ways to merchandise God’s teachings), should now submit to a dispensation of darkness, bondage, and terror, while now abiding in Satan’s domain?”

Besides, what you suffered yourself to be brought into bondage is but weak and beggarly elements, such things as have no power in them to cleanse the soul, nor to afford any solid satisfaction to the mind.

Is it possible for those who have made great professions of belief, to be afterward drawn into very great defections and from the purity and simplicity of it, for this is the case of these believers. 

Ezekiel 33:19-20
[19]But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
[20]Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

The more mercy God has shown to any, in bringing them into an acquaintance with the gospel, and the liberties and privileges of it, the greater is their sin and folly in suffering themselves to be deprived of them for this the apostle lays a special stress upon, that after they had known God, or rather were known of him, they desired to be in bondage under the weak and beggarly elements of the law.

1 Corinthians 3:18-19 KJV
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [19] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Like Paul who grieved about his labour in vain. Today, a great deal of the labour of faithful ministers is labour in vain, and when it is so, it cannot but be a great grief to those who desire the salvation of souls. Romans 12:2 KJV
[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The labour of ministers is in vain upon those who begin in the Spirit and end in the flesh, who, though they seem to set out well, yet afterwards turn aside from the way of the gospel.

1 Corinthians 3:20 KJV
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Those will have a great deal to answer upon whom the faithful ministers of Jesus Christ bestow labour in vain.

1 Corinthians 3:21 KJV
Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

Paul relates their previous pleasure’s and peace  and then asks! What has become of that pleasure they used to take in communion with God, and in the company of his servants? To impress upon them he places before them a just shame of their present conduct, he again asks (Galatians 4:16), “Am I become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
