QUESTION! WHEN WE DIE DO WE GO TO HEAVEN OR HELL, OR WAIT FOR JUDGMENT?

Warning the content you are about to partake may offend some because in their wisdom, they refuse to heed  Jeremiah 33:3
[3]Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

To possess our Lord’s gifts and presence we must partake in his words being offered at the table he presents as his fare, and note: where two or more share his word our lord and Saviour is with us then in all situations where we share the word in prayer, spoken word or reading the shared word. He is always present.

SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Matthew 12:37
[37]For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

OBSERVATION!

I see the answer to the impending question as an  opportunity to bring a resolve which will bring forth sufficient knowledge and understanding to not only present an answer but also provide internal, strength, peace, and guidance to complete our journey to obtain an eternal life with Yeshua and our Heavenly Father Yahewa.

John 14:2 NLT
There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

What I am about to reveal, I see as one of Yeshua’s footprints for us to step into and understand how it plays an intricate role in our journey to an eternal life.

COMMENTARY!

Perhaps it was apparent in their looks it was said (John 13:22), They looked one upon the other with anxiety and concern, and Christ looked upon them all, and observed it at least, was intelligible to the Lord Jesus, who is acquainted with all our secret undiscovered sorrows, with the wound that bleeds inwardly he knows not only how we are afflicted, but how we stand affected under our afflictions, and how near they lie to our hearts he takes cognizance of all the trouble which his people, suffer, at any time, in danger of being overwhelmed with, he knows our souls in adversity.

Many things will occur to trouble his disciples. Showing our journey will not be an easy trek into an eternal life. We find examples laid out before us in the following.

That Yeshua should suffer and die. This is implied here when he says (Psalms 16:8), I shall not be moved he supposed that he should be struck at, and have a dreadful shock given him, as he had in his agony, when his soul was exceedingly sorrowful, and he prayed that the cup might pass from him.

When he says, “My flesh shall rest,” it is implied that he must put off the body, and therefore must go through the pains of death. It is likewise plainly intimated that his soul must go into a state of separation from the body, and that his body, so deserted, would be in imminent danger of seeing corruption–that he should not only die, but be buried, and abide for some time under the power of death.

It is in the aforementioned knowledge that we begin to formulate and answer to this question.

That Yeshua should be wonderfully borne up by the divine power in suffering and dying. That he should not be moved, should not be driven off from his undertaking nor sink under the weight of it, that he should not fail nor be discouraged (Isaiah 42:4), but should proceed and persevere in it, till he could say, It is finished.

The example has been set and presented for all to see, follow and perform.

(Matthew 12:37) By thy words thou shall be justified or condemned a common rule in men’s judgments, and here applied to God’s. Note, The constant tenour of our discourse, according as it is gracious or not gracious, will be an evidence for us, or against us, at the great day. Those who seemed to be religious, but bridled not their tongue, will then be found to have put a cheat upon themselves with a vain religion, James 1:26. Some think that Christ here refers to that of Eliphaz (Job 15:6), Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I or, rather, to that of Solomon (Proverbs 18:21), Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

OBSERVATION!

Psalms 23:4
[4]Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Because the saints have God’s gracious presence with them in their dying moments, he is then at their right hand, and therefore why should they be moved?

The good shepherd will not only conduct, but convoy, his sheep through the valley, where they are in danger of being set upon by the beasts of prey, the ravening wolves he will not only convoy them, but comfort them when they most need comfort. His presence shall comfort them: Thou art with me. His word and Spirit shall comfort them–his rod and staff, alluding to the shepherd’s crook, or the rod under which the sheep passed when they were counted (Leviticus 27:32), or the staff with which the shepherds drove away the dogs that would scatter or worry the sheep.

It is a comfort to the saints, when they come to die, that God takes cognizance of them (he knows those that are his), that he will rebuke the enemy, that he will guide them with his rod and sustain them with his staff.

The gospel is called the rod of Christ’s strength (Psalms 110:2), and there is enough in that to comfort the saints when they come to die, and underneath them are the everlasting arms.

Concerning our duty to God, We see what godliness is. It is to surrender ourselves to God and so to lay a good foundation.

We must first give our own selves unto the Lord, 2 Cor. 8:5. This is here pressed as the spring of all duty and obedience, Romans 12:1,2. Man consists of body and soul, Genesis 2:7; Ecclesiastes 12:7.

Here is a name given to the Creator which we have not yet met with, and that is Jehovah–the LORD, in capital letters, which are constantly used in our English translation to intimate that in the original it is Jehovah. All along, in the first chapter, he was called Elohim–a God of power but now Jehovah Elohim–a God of power and perfection, a finishing God.

As we find him known by his name Jehovah when he appeared to perform what he had promised (Exodus 6:3), so now we have him known by that name, when he had perfected what he had begun. Jehovah is that great and incommunicable name of God which denotes his having his being of himself, and his giving being to all things fitly therefore is he called by that name now that heaven and earth are finished.

Here is a call to young people to think of God, and mind their duty to him, when they are young: Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth.

This is, the royal preacher’s application of his sermon concerning the vanity of the world and every thing in it “You that are young flatter yourselves with expectations of great things from it, but believe those that have tried it it yields no solid satisfaction to a soul therefore, that you may not be deceived by this vanity, nor too much disturbed by it, remember your Creator, and so guard yourselves against the mischiefs that arise from the vanity of the creature.”

AIt is the royal physician’s antidote against the particular diseases of youth, the love of mirth, and the indulgence of sensual pleasures, the vanity which childhood and youth are subject to to prevent and cure this, remember thy Creator.

Matthew 13:43
[43]Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The disciples’ request to their Master was, Declare unto us the parable of the tares. This implied an acknowledgement of their ignorance, which they were not ashamed to make. It is probable they apprehended the general scope of the parable, but they desired to understand it more particularly and to be assured that they took it right. Note, Those are rightly disposed of for Christ’s teaching, that are sensible of their ignorance and sincerely desirous to be taught.

He will teach the humble (Psalms 25:8,9), but will for this be enquired of. If any man lacks instruction, let him ask it of God. Christ had expounded the foregoing parable unasked, but for the exposition of this, they ask him.

Note, the mercies we have received must be improved, both for direction, what to pray for, and our encouragement in prayer.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen in the name of Jehovah.
