PRELUDE: It is my duty to bring forward this information. Please note that the commentary offered are quotes by Matthew Henry (1662-1714).
The OBSERVATIONS offered are from Robert (1945 – current), offering his commentary as Yeshua’s Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).
Warning the content you are about to partake in may offend some, because in their wisdom, they refuse to heed Jeremiah 33:3
[3]Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!
1 Corinthians 3:18-19 KJV
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [19] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
MATTHEW HENRY (1662-1714) COMMENTARY!
Do not be led away from the truth and simplicity of the gospel by pretenders to science and eloquence, by a show of deep learning, or a flourish of words, by rabbis, orators, or philosophers. Note, “We are in great danger of deceiving ourselves when we have too high an opinion of human wisdom and arts; plain and pure Christianity will likely be despised by those who can suit their doctrines to the corrupt taste of their hearers, and set them off with fine language, or support them with a show of deep and strong reasoning.
But he who seems to be wise must become a fool that he may be wise. He must be sensible of his own ignorance and lament it; he must distrust his own understanding, and not lean on it.
To have a high opinion of our wisdom is but to flatter ourselves, and self-flattery is the very next step to self-deceit. The way to true wisdom is to sink our opinion of our own to a due level and be willing to be taught of God.
He must become a fool who would be truly and thoroughly wise. The person who resigns his own understanding, that he may follow the instruction of God, is on the way to true and everlasting wisdom.
The meek will he guide in judgment, the meek will he teach his way, Psalms 25:9. He that has a low opinion of his own knowledge and powers will submit to better information; such a person may be informed and improved by revelation.
OBSERVATION!
People, you may not like what you are about to receive as a position many are taking against Yeshua our Lord and the way back to Yahewa, our Heavenly Father!
It appears that multitudes in the Ecclesia believe they are wiser than Yeshua, who warns in the first sentence in 1 Corinthians 3:18 KJV
Let no man deceive himself.
Matthew Henry (1662-1714) pointed out in his commentary what weapons a spirit filled servant of Yeshua must, like it or not, incorporate into their walk. It is here that we find who is coping with life and those willing to deal with life! Those willing to deflect responsibility or those willing to take responsibility even if it stinks to high heaven.
Many are going to state one of the more acceptable rationales. “How can you say that?” “Yeshua works with doctors. ” We see it every day! Ponder this line in 1 Corinthians 3:19 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
“OH.” Wait, are you not taking this out of context? I refer you to Matthew Henry’s utterance of what to avoid so you would not be taken in your own craftiness. He goes on to reveal, just how you would stumble your way into this sin! “To have a high opinion of our wisdom is but to flatter ourselves, and self-flattery is the very next step to self-deceit.”
Using our rationale, in order to fill the gap created by “doubt” in Yeshua fulfilling his promises, you turn to the one who is before you as a learned individual in the world’s sciences, and wisdom and place your trust in them and their knowledge.
As I pondered what Yeshua meant by in their own craftiness, it became clear Yahewa was using the same method of dealing with the modern-day stiff necked, as he did with the original Israelites who exited Egypt. They wandered the desert till all the generations of stiff necked believers were eliminated in their own craftiness. Not one of them crossed into the promised land.
So take note you are being given an opportunity to remove that stigma of being stiffed necked and return to what our Lord Yeshua is offering through this process. He must become a fool who would be truly and thoroughly wise. The person who resigns his own understanding, that he may follow the instruction of God, is on the way to true and everlasting wisdom.
However, this step takes a huge amount of courage, faith, and strength to admit the errors of your ways. Years of building your own kingdom, whether Carnal or Spiritual is not easily relinquished.
You have built your walk around this luxurious delusion, and vacating it will not be easy. As a lifetime of living in this comfort zone, where you have rationalized and justified your position and mindset, will be required, you will be facing truths that have been avoided by rationalized and justified thinking.
My prayers go up as a Watchman bringing this warning to our Heavenly Father Yahweh, pleading as Moses did in Exodus 32:11 KJV
And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen in the name of Yeshua.
Flash to today to understand the similarity to the Exodus. Our Exodus is from the slavery of sin and death. The Lord has brought forward Grace and forgiveness through his son, Yeshua.
The desert those walking as stiffnecked people in today’s world is a journey through the valley of death our world of today.
Our promised land is finding Yeshua, our only way back to being reconnected to our Heavenly Father Yahweh.
It is here where a very sincere choice has to be made by those off track and walking in a delusion. Here, where Ezekiel 33:9 is applicable,
[9]Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
You can choose to relinquish your wisdom and understanding and turn to Yeshua to lead you out of your kingdom and into God’s grace, forgiveness, and His kingdom.
The meek will he guide in judgment, the meek will he teach his way, Psalms 25:9. He that has a low opinion of his own knowledge and powers will submit to better information; such a person may be informed and improved by revelation.

But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 7:14 KJV
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen in the name of Yeshua.
