PRELUDE: It is my desire to bring forward this information. Please note that the Commentary offered are quotes by Matthew Henry (1662-1714).
The Observations offered are from Robert (1945 – current), offering his commentary as Yeshua’s Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).
SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!
Luke 18:13-14
[13]And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
[14]I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
OBSERVATION!
COMMENTARY!
And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others.
Two men went up into the temple to pray the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
As our days draw closer to the Asencion of Yeshua’s righteous followers, it becomes more and more imperative that we bring our walk and personal relationship into spiritual order with Yeshua as spoken of in Romans 12:2
[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

For every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
