WHAT GOOD IS IT TO HEAR YESHUA’S TEACHINGS? IF WE DON’T APPLY THEM TO OUR WALK?

PRELUDE: It is my desire to bring forward this information. Please note that the Commentary offered are quotes by Matthew Henry.

The Observations offered are from Robert offering his commentary as Yeshua’s obedient servant, a Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).

AN APPEAL TO THE BRETHREN!

I make this plea as a victim of vindictive so-called believers, commenting they are offended by my posts, causing Facebook to prevent my future posts from being shared. My call to you if you agree with the posts content, please, in Yeshua’s name, share it far and wide! Blessings and peace be with you and your family!

SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Luke 6:42 KJV
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

OBSERVATION!

Question: What does having received the gift of discernment mean to you personally? Many will quote me this verse.

John 14:26 KJV
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

And that is where they stop discerning. Overlooking a very important action that accompanied Yahewa’s gift of discernment.

Which our Lord is pointing out in Luke 6:42. As I read this verse, a question formulated in my spirit. What good is gifting us with this ability if we are unwilling to use it as a tool to better our walk and relationships, with our Father in heaven and His Son, Yeshua?

Then, the next question appeared! What does receiving this gift mean to me personally? Was it just meant to be able to hear our Lord and learn?

If this were true, then what benefit does having the ability to learn God’s word and warnings and not apply them to my journey as a spiritual rudder to steer me through all the pitfalls and tribulations to be encountered during my journey unto eternity? It would appear as none which Satan wants you to believe!

COMMENTARY!

If we are of a giving and forgiving spirit, we shall ourselves reap the benefit. Though full and exact returns are made in another world, not in this world, yet Providence does what should encourage us in doing good.

Those who follow the multitude to do evil follow in the broad way that leads to destruction.

The tree is known by its fruits; may the word of Christ be so grafted in our hearts that we may be fruitful in every good word and work. And what the mouth commonly speaks, generally agrees with what is most in the heart.

Those only make sure work for their souls and eternity, and take the course that will profit in a trying time, who think, speak, and act according to the words of Christ.

Those who take pains in religion found their hope upon Christ, who is the Rock of Ages, and other foundation can no man lay. In death and judgment they are safe, being kept by the power of Christ through faith unto salvation, and they shall never perish.

OBSERVATION!

“IT IS WRITTEN!”

Philippians 2:12 KJV
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

We recognize these were Apostle Paul’s words, but when discerned, they should be applied as Yeshua’s as well.

Here, it becomes clear that discernment has many levels to study and apply to our lives! Perhaps a deeper look at the gift of discernment should be an urgent assignment to begin.

Where to start? It then became clear why men are not using this tool to deepen their faith, trust, and patience.

If in any way you are still connected to the world and the comforts that this presents in your life. To reveal it would mean to remove it. And for many, that becomes a mountain that looms menacing, and it becomes easier to avoid as the comforts are there to be applied, however on the other side due to your weak faith, in your mind the unknown looms large, along with this question in your heart: Will God replace these comforts? Is being whispered to you by one of Satan’s minions to hold you in the bondage of sin by being separated from Yahewa and Yeshua! Remember, Satan’s goal is to separate us from our Father in heaven.

It is here where knowing how to exercise discernment as a personal tool brings you closer to how Yeshua handled this situation when he was being tempted. He used three words “It Is Written!” Then proceeded to relate what our Father in heaven has taught us. Then these three words apply here “It Is Written!”

Those committed to abiding with the Lord use discernment to purge all moments of temptations which may exist as seeds of temptations in the mind.

Previously, we learned a temptation is not a sin until we act upon it, which would then move it into our heart to be acted upon.

Matthew 17:20 KJV
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

The following is a quote of Matthew Henry on Satan’s attack as temptations.

Satan aimed in all his temptations, to bring Christ to sin against God.

1. He tempted him to despair of his Father’s goodness, and to distrust his Father’s care concerning him. It is one of the wiles of Satan to take advantage of our outward condition; and those who are brought into straits need to double their guard.

Christ answered all the temptations of Satan with “It is written;” to set us an example, he appealed to what was written in the Scriptures. This method we must take, when at any time we are tempted to sin.

Let us learn not to take any wrong courses for our supply, when our wants are ever so pressing: in some way or other the Lord will provide.

2. Satan tempted Christ to presume upon his Father’s power and protection, in a point of safety.

Nor are any extremes more dangerous than despair and presumption, especially in the affairs of our souls. Satan has no objection to holy places as the scene of his assaults. Let us not, in any place, be off our watch.

OBSERVATION!

“OK!” This the moment when like an onion I peel back one layer and expose one of the deep purposes of discernment in our lives.

Our Father in heaven brought this tool into our lives as a method of deep reflection on the condition of our hearts, which we know is the source of all sin in our lives.

Discernment is the tool Yahewa placed in our lives to be used as a human scanner to locate what seeds of sin are present and remove them before they become appealing and are acted upon.

This knowledge comes from Yeshua’s actions while facing his three temptations. The three words “It Is Written!” Reveals which teachings of Yeshua through  discernment become our weapons against all forms of temptations that are present with us.

Our actions by using our discernment becomes the light needed to expose the seeds that have been planted within our minds.

By using discernment, we are not only removing temptations, but also increasing our presence with the Lord and developing, and deepening our relationship.

Always having in mind that Yeshua is our interceder and the deeper our relationship the more presentable to the Father we become. Here is how these three words, when combined with discernment, reveal the benefits of Yahewa’s truth.

IT IS WRITTEN!”

Psalms 91:1-2
[1]He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2]I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
