PRAYER!

Heavenly Father, hear this petition before your throne. I place your flocks before you, Lord! The times are perilous and filled with temptations, deceptions, and trials of the Spirit towards your children. Place the blood of the Lamb over these flocks Heavenly Father as your covering to maintain clear minds, so the Holy Spirit can bring teachings to deepen their faith, trust and patience to maintain there position on the narrow path you have set for them. Lord, strengthen their fervor to serve and deepen their determination to share your word and bring further light into this darkening world. Sharpen their two edged swords that all of Satan’s bindings are severed and destroyed bringing freedom forward for those who were bound, that we might raise our praise into you and sing hallelujah with your angels for all the souls freed and returned to your service of sharing your LIGHT! In all of this Heavenly Father, we pray in your name Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.

CLOSING OBSERVATION!

Would that this were not a true description of many baptized in the name of Christ. Who can, without trembling, reflect upon the misery of a person, separated for ever from the people of God, cut off from the body of Christ, fallen from the covenant of promise, having no hope, no Saviour, and without any God but a God of vengeance, to all eternity?

To have no part in Christ! What true Christian can hear this without horror? Salvation is far from the wicked; but God is a help at hand to his people; and this is by the sufferings and death of Christ.

CLOSING COMMENTARY!

The promise is the same to all, who call on the name of the Lord Jesus as the Son of God, as God manifests in the flesh. All believers thus call upon the Lord Jesus, and none else will do so humbly or sincerely. But how should any call on the Lord Jesus, the Divine Saviour, who had not heard of him?

And what is the life of a Christian but a life of prayer? It shows that we feel our dependence on him, and are ready to give up ourselves to him, and have a believing expectation of our all from him. It was necessary that the gospel should be preached to the Gentiles.

Somebody must show them what they are to believe. How welcome the gospel ought to be to those to whom it was preached! The gospel is given, not only to be known and believed, but to be obeyed.

It is not a system of notions but a rule of practice. The beginning, progress, and strength of faith is by hearing. But it is only hearing the word, as the word of God that will strengthen faith.
