PRELUDE: It is my duty to bring forward this acknowledgment. Please note that the COMMENTARY’S being offered are quotes by Matthew Henry.
The OBSERVATIONS being offered are Robert’s commentary as Yeshua’s obedient Watchman (Ezekiel 33:9).
SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!
1 Peter 4:14 KJV
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
OBSERVATION!
While in this world, where there is so much corruption in our hearts, quarrels will sometimes arise. But it is our duty to forgive one another, imitating the forgiveness through which we are saved. Let the peace of God rule in your hearts; it is of his working in all who are his.
We must not only do no hurt to any, but do what good we can to all. Those who are the elect of God, holy and beloved, ought to be lowly and compassionate towards all.
COMMENTARY!
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts; it is of his working in all who are his. Thanksgiving to God helps to make us agreeable to all men. The gospel is the word of Christ. Many have the word, but it dwells in them poorly; it has no power over them.
The soul prospers when we are full of the Scriptures and of the grace of Christ.
OBSERVATION!
We should rest in no religion that does not make us fruitful in good works. Christ calls on us, from here forward to be praying in faith. It may be applied to our mighty faith with which all true Christians are endued and which does wonders in spiritual things.
Matthew 18:19
[19]Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Prayer justifies us and so removes mountains of guilt, never to rise up in judgment against us. It purifies the heart and so removes mountains of corruption and makes them plain before the grace of God.
COMMENTARY!
If a professed Christian is wronged by another, he ought not to complain of it to others, as is often done merely upon report, but to go to the offender privately, state the matter kindly, and show him his conduct.
This would generally have all the desired effect with a true Christian, and the parties would be reconciled. The principles of these rules may be practiced every where, and under all circumstances, though they are greatly neglected by all.
But how few try the method which Christ has expressly enjoined to all his disciples! In all our proceedings, we should seek direction in prayer; we can not too highly prize the promises of God.
Wherever and whenever we meet in the name of Christ, we should consider him as present in the midst of us.
Matthew 18:20 KJV
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
OBSERVATION!
You would receive it, if you understood it is good for you. And as goodwill to men was proclaimed from heaven, so goodwill to men, particularly to the brethren, must be in the hearts of those who go to God in prayer.
He who thus follows Christ dwells in Him as his ark, refuge, and rest, and in the Father through Yeshua. This union between Christ and the souls of believers is by the Spirit he has given unto us as He ascended.
John 14:26 KJV
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
A man may believe that God is gracious before he knows it; yet when faith has laid hold on the promises, it sets reason to work identifying the path you are following, and why!
Matthew 7:22-23
[22]Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23]And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
COMMENTARY!
Christ here shows that it will not be enough to own him for our Master, only in word and tongue. It is compulsory to our happiness that we believe in Christ, that we repent of sin, that we live a holy life, that we love one another. In our hearts, not in our minds.
This is his will, even our sanctification. Let us take heed of resting in outward privileges and doings, lest we deceive ourselves, and perish eternally, as multitudes are doing, with a lie in their right hand.
CLOSING OBSERVATION!
Matthew 7:14 KJV
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Narrow is the way! Have you pondered why it is only a few who travel it.
1 Peter 4:16,19 KJV
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. [19] Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
Many lack the strength and courage to suffer and endure the trials and tribulations which were brought against Yeshua, that you certainly will be inheriting when you step into Yeshua’s footprints left as part of the narrow path. It takes a 100% commitment and a 100% willingness to endure the trials and tribulations you will encounter, while following in our Lord’s footsteps that lead to eternal life.

Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
We are offered many weapons to be used against Satan and his minions who desire to divert us from the narrow path.
Our Lord Yeshua was taken into the desert and presented three temptations which he rebuked and called Satan to get behind him. His responses are one of our weapons we are able to draw on.
If you ponder these temptations, you will find the third temptation is the one many who proclaim to love Yeshua. However, fall victim, too.
Satan is subtle in his presentation in order to capture your worship at his altar, and eventually, your soul willingly given over.
He uses your ignorance of God’s laws and the desire of all men to be comfortable. If you ponder this verse
In pondering this verse, you will find what subtlety Satan used to have you bow your knee before his throne, thus willingly offering up your soul.
In desiring to be comfortable and not face the trials and tribulations brought against Yeshua, a compromise is accepted.
The belief that by using Yeshua’s name to accomplish many different tasks, that in your mind your walk is with Yeshua because of the accomplishments in his name. Not comprehending to walk with Yeshua, he must be in your heart in order to develop a personal relationship.
The lie swallowed is by using the power of Yeshua’s name. You in your mind, believe you are developing a relationship with Yeshua.
The fallacy of this lie is being dependent on the world for your needs and desires and believing it is all being done as service to Yeshua.
Christ here shows that it will not be enough to own him for our Master, only in word and tongue.
Romans 8:9,13 KJV
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
CLOSING COMMENTARY!
We may know our real state and character by inquiring whether we have the Spirit of God and Christ or not. Ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. Having the Spirit of Christ, means having a turn of mind in some degree like the mind that was in Christ Jesus, and is to be shown by a life and conversation suitable to his precepts and example. Bringing all our needs through prayer to our Father in heaven Yahewa.

[19]Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
