There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

OBSERVATION!

As I pondered the condition of those swept up by the Spirit of the season, Solomons observation kept echoing in my mind. That all festivals were filled with vanity.

For me, this meant Solomon found they were created to satisfy fleshly needs.

When I researched the commentaries Matthew Henry relates on Romans 8:1, believers may be chastened of the Lord but will not be condemned with the world.

By their union with Christ through faith, they are thus secured. What is the principle of their walk; the flesh or the Spirit, the old or the new nature, corruption or grace?

For which of these do we make provision, by which are we governed? The unrenewed will is unable to keep any commandment fully. And the law, besides outward duties, requires inward obedience.

God showed abhorrence of sin by the sufferings of his Son in the flesh, that the believer’s person might be pardoned and justified.

A deep sincere question formulated in my heart. Where in scripture does it call on the children of God to celebrate the birth of our Saviour? After extensive research, none was found!

As I pondered this fact this Festival which insnares millions annually, has no scriptural foundation. As you go through this information you may desire to pay particular attention to the Victorian Era as it appears our modern celebration is modeled after this Era.

COMMENTARY!

Now I understand the depth of Solomon’s frustration with the truth he was uncovering as he searched out man’s wisdom. In their vain ways, man over centuries created what they were able to call a Holy day. This celebration had no significance to our Saviour’s birth other than it applied a facial appearance of being Holy for the world to see is as such.

Matthew Henry related: By the Spirit the law of love is written upon the heart, and though the righteousness of the law is not fulfilled by us, yet, blessed be God, it is fulfilled in us; there is that in all true believers, which answers the intention of the law.

The favor of God, the welfare of the soul, the concerns of eternity, are the things of the Spirit, which those that are after the Spirit do mind.

Which way do our thoughts move with most pleasure? Which way go our plans and contrivances? Are we most wise for the world or for our souls?

Those that live in pleasure are dead, 1 Timothy 5:6. A sanctified soul is a living soul; and that life is peace. The carnal mind is not only an enemy to God but enmity itself.

The carnal man may, by the power of Divine grace, be made subject to the law of God, but the carnal mind never can; that must be broken and driven out. We may know our real state and character by inquiring whether we have the Spirit of God and Christ, or not, 1 Timothy 5:9. Ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. Having the Spirit of Christ, means having a turn of mind in some degree like the mind that was in Christ Jesus, and is to be shown by a life and conversation suitable to his precepts and example.

I believe this research proves without a doubt what Solomon stated about festivals being exercises of vanity no matter how you paint it, especially when you note there is no scriptural foundation to support it. And when you investigate it find the evidence Solomon did that even the acts of caring and kindness serve the individual as a short term front.

What is the object of this message and all messages from Yeshua’s Watchman.

We are to honour our saviours’ birth and sacrifice, not as an annual feast conjured up in man’s mind. But daily by first giving thanks for our lives, secondly the gift of His Son as our way to our Father in heaven and the Holy Spirit along with the discernment he brings so each can hear the teachings of Yeshua and apply them daily, so we become his avenue for those seeking his gift of eternal life.

To me, this is truly showing the ultimate respect and thanks to Yahewa our Father in heaven for the greatest gift ever provided Salvation, offering eternal life.

I had an individual challenge my writings stating they wanted an explanation of what they were doing wrong scripture showing their mistake, four times I provided this scripture Exodus 32:9 KJV
And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

And encouraged them to discern the message four times they rejected this verse, stating it was not scripture.

My refusal to debate their position is explained in Ezekiel 33:9 and providing this verse were indications of an unwillingness to listen or learn.
