SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!
Ephesians 1:18 KJV
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Mark 10:24 KJV
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
OBSERVATION!
Are not the best of us unwilling to come under God’s yoke, though there is no other way to find rest for the soul? Do we not for a little pleasure or a morsel of food often part with our peace?
Genesis 25:33-34 KJV
And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. [34] Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
What we must recognize, these moments of seeking a little pleasure, become the seeds to desire a little bit more and ultimately a prize which offers it permanently.
Those who thus eagerly seek the luxuries comforts and wealth of the world will never rightly appreciate Christ and his grace. This reality is part of the inticement drawing many from the true riches found in Yeshua’s teachings, which bring a heavenly peace to our souls.
COMMENTARY!
What is it, that is powerful enough to intice man away from obtaining heavenly riches?
The greatest trial of a good man’s constancy is when love for Yeshua calls him to give up love to friends and relatives.
Let us learn contentment in a low state and to watch against the love of riches in a high one.
Let us pray to be enabled to part with all, if required, in Christ’s service and to use all we are allowed to keep in his service.
1 Timothy 6:6 KJV
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
It is desirable to feel the mighty power of Divine grace, beginning and carrying on the work of faith in our souls. But it is difficult to bring a soul to believe fully in Christ and to venture its all, and the hope of eternal life, upon his righteousness.
Hebrews 13:5 KJV
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Those who would come to Jesus, must cast away the garment of their own sufficiency, must free themselves from every weight, and the sin that, like long garments, most easily besets them, In coming to Christ for help and healing, we should look to him as the promised Messiah.
If we dispute less and prayed more with and for each other, we should daily see more and more what is the hope of our calling and the riches of the Divine glory in this inheritance.
We see here it is signified that Christ, the Saviour, supplies all the necessities of those who trust in him and gives them all blessings in the richest abundance.
And by being partakers of Christ himself, we come to be filled with the fulness of grace and glory in him. How then do those forget themselves who seek righteousness without Yeshua!
This counsels us to come to Christ. And we will discern what we are called to, and what we might find in him?
Surely we should come and be suitors to him. When feeling our weakness and the power of our enemies, we most perceive the greatness of that mighty power that affects the conversion of the believer and is engaged to perfect his salvation. Surely, this will constrain us by love to live to our Redeemer’s glory.
And in comparison, what future promises do the world’s luxuries, comforts and riches offer?
Who can, without trembling, reflect upon the misery of a person, separated for ever from the people of God, cut off from the body of Christ, fallen from the covenant of promise, having no hope, no Saviour, and without any God but a God of vengeance, to all eternity? To have no part in Christ! What true Christian can hear this without suffering compassion?
Worldly honour is a glittering thing, with which the eyes of Christ’s own disciples have many times been dazzled. Our care must be, that we may have wisdom and grace to know how to suffer with him; and we may trust him to provide what the degrees of our glory shall be.
Christ shows that dominion is generally abused in the world. If Yeshua would gratify all our wants, it would soon appear that we desire fame or authority, and are unwilling to taste of his cup, or to have his baptism; and should often be ruined by having our prayers answered. But he loves us, and will only give his people what is good for them.
In coming to Christ for help and healing, we should look to him as the promised Messiah. The calls Christ gives to come to him, encourage our hope that if we come to him, we shall have what we came for.
Matthew 18:19
[19]Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
CLOSING OBSERVATION!
The fate for those who turn from God is described in.
Luke 16:23-25 KJV
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. [24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. [25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
There is a day coming, when those who now hate and despise the people of God, would gladly receive kindness from them. But the damned in hell shall not have the least abatement of their torment.
Sinners are now called upon to remember; but they do not, they will not, they find ways to avoid it. As wicked people have good things only in this life, and at death are for ever separated from all good, so godly people have evil things only in this life, and at death they are for ever put from them. In this world, blessed be God, there is no gulf between a state of nature and grace, we may pass from sin to God; but if we die in our sins, there is no coming out.
Bottom line is do as our Father in heaven has called us to do assess your walk daily take nothing for granted know the truth and riches revealed by it and give thanks daily for it.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
