Mark 7:20-23 KJV
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. [21] For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, [22] Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: [23] All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

OUR PRAYER!

Heavenly Father in humility, we come before your throne, asking for you to search our hearts and reveal the true state of our journey. The true position we hold with Yeshua within our personal relationship. Bring our weaknesses forward to be identified, show us our vulnerabilities to temptations, fill us with humility so we might accept your findings. Bring forward the depth of our integrity and wisdom of our determination in demonstrating ourselves as humble, meek, servants committed to your service. Bring into our lives the secrets of heaven, that we might be emboldened to serve with all of our hearts, our minds, and most of all, our Spirit and Soul. This we pray in your name Yeshua, and all of God’s children said Amen and Amen.

COMMENTARY!

Our wicked thoughts and affections, words and actions, defile us, and these only. As a corrupt fountain sends forth corrupt streams, so does a corrupt heart send forth corrupt reasonings, corrupt appetites and passions, and all the wicked words and actions that come from them.

A spiritual understanding of the law of God, and a sense of the evil of sin, will cause a man to seek for the grace of the Holy Spirit, to keep down the evil thoughts and affections that work within.

Christ shows that the defilement they ought to fear was not from what entered their mouths as food but from what came out of their mouths, which showed the wickedness of their hearts.

Nothing will last in the soul but the regenerating graces of the Holy Spirit; and nothing should be admitted into the church but what is from above; therefore, whoever is offended by a plain, seasonable declaration of the truth, we should not be troubled at it. The disciples ask to be better taught as to this matter. Where a weak head doubts concerning any word of Christ, an upright heart and a willing mind seek for instruction. It is the heart that is desperately wicked, Jeremiah 17:9, for there is no sin in word or deed, which was not first in the heart.

Jeremiah 17:9
[9]The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
