OUR PRAYER!

Heavenly Father, in humility, we come before your throne, asking for you to search our hearts and reveal the true state of our journey. The true position we hold with Yeshua within our personal relationship. Bring our weaknesses forward to be identified, show us our vulnerabilities to temptations, and fill us with humility so we might accept your findings. Bring forward the depth of our integrity and wisdom of our determination in demonstrating ourselves as humble, meek, and servants committed to your service. Bring into our lives the secrets of heaven, that we might be emboldened to serve with all of our hearts, our minds, and most of all, our Spirit and Soul. This we pray in your name, Yeshua, and all of God’s children said Amen and Amen.

COMMENTARY!

We are not a match for our spiritual enemies, in our own strength; but in the Lord, and in the power of his might, we shall be able to stand against them, though there are legions of them. When the vilest transgressor is delivered by the power of Jesus from the bondage of Satan, he will gladly sit at the feet of his Deliverer, and hear his word, who delivers the wretched slaves of Satan, and numbers them among his saints and servants.

Long-suffering and mercy may be seen, even in the corrections by which men lose their property while their lives are saved, and the warning given them to seek salvation of their souls. The man joyfully proclaimed what great things Jesus had done for him. All men marveledl, but few followed him. Many who cannot but wonder at the works of Christ, yet do not, as they ought, wonder after him.

Thus, many love good preaching if it keep far away from their beloved sin. But it is better that sinners persecute ministers now for faithfulness than curse them eternally for unfaithfulness. The ways of God are unsearchable; but we may be sure he never can be at a loss to repay his servants for what they endure or lose for his sake. Death could not come so as to surprise this holy man; and the triumph of the wicked was short.
