ROBERT’S OPEN DECLARATION!”
My position in presenting these postings is done not as a pastor, minister, or teacher of God’s words. They are brought forward as messages to be discerned by those receiving them and choosing personally how to react. Scriptural foundation for their delivery Ezekiel 33:9
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
It is with great love for all given to me by Yeshua that you are receiving them. Luke 10:16
[16]He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION
Galatians 5:24 KJV
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
COMMENTARY!
If it be our care to act under the guidance and power of the blessed Spirit, though we may not be freed from the stirrings and oppositions of the corrupt nature which remains in us, it shall not have dominion over us.
Now, here is my question this verse states that the very things we have been called out of are not to have dominion over us. Question: How much effect does our definition of dominion over us have on our spiritual battle with that residue as it tugs at us?
Galatians 5:17 KJV
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Believers are engaged in a conflict in which they earnestly desire that grace may obtain full and speedy victory. And those who desire thus to give themselves up to be led by the Holy Spirit are not under the law as a covenant of works, nor exposed to its awful curse.
Simply put, the level of battle is not determined by man’s definition of what dominion over us is. The choice whether to heed or defeat those desires is determined by our choice of whether we submit to being guided by the Holy Spirit in all of our spiritual battles against the flesh.
What appears important here is whether or not a decision to accept that our soul (mind, will, and emotions) is at war with the desires our body is presenting as what we have defined as being acceptable pleasures! In other words, we are being tasked to set new levels of moral standards according to the teachings of the Holy Spirit to live by. Our task then is to design and continue to raise our standard of morality. Not periodically but daily as we are being bombarded daily as part of our walk.
The intensity of our battles will be determined by our definitions of what is pleasurable and whether sinful. This comes back to what should be recognized as “luxurious sin.” We are finding enough pleasure in the sin that we rationalize it, then justify it, thus no longer recognize it as being sinful.
The works of the flesh are many and manifest. And these sins will shut men out of heaven. Yet how many, calling themselves Christians, live in this form of sin and say they hope for heaven!
It is becoming clear our earlier learning of Satan taking advantage of man’s ignorance of God’s laws and how we define them as sin is very applicable here. It reveals our acceptance of “luxurious sins” as normal!
Galatians 5:19-21 KJV
[19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these ; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
The fruits of the Spirit, or of the renewed nature, which we are to do, are named. And as the apostle had chiefly named works of the flesh, not only hurtful to men themselves, but tending to make them so to one another, so here he chiefly notices the fruits of the Spirit, which tend to make Christians agreeable one to another, as well as to make them happy. The fruits of the Spirit plainly show, that such are led by the Spirit. By describing the works of the flesh and fruits of the Spirit, we are told what to avoid and oppose, and what we are to cherish and cultivate; and this is the sincere care and endeavour of all real Christians.
Sin does not now reign in their mortal bodies, so they obey it, Romans 6:12, for they seek to destroy it. Christ never will own those who yield themselves up to be the servants of sin. And it is not enough that we cease to do evil, but we must learn to do well. Our conversation will always be answerable to the principle which guides and governs us, Romans 8:5. We must set ourselves in earnest to mortify the deeds of the body and to walk in newness of life.
Not being desirous of vain-glory, or unduly wishing for the esteem and applause of men, not provoking or envying one another, but seeking to bring forth more abundantly those good fruits, which are, through Jesus Christ, to the praise and glory of God.
Believers may be chastened of the Lord, but will not be condemned with the world. By their union with Christ through faith, they are thus secured. What is the principle of their walk; the flesh or the Spirit, the old or the new nature, corruption or grace? For which of these do we make provision, by which are we governed?
The unrenewed will is unable to keep any commandment fully. The law, besides outward duties, requires inward obedience. God showed abhorrence of sin by the sufferings of his Son in the flesh, that the believer’s person might be pardoned and justified. Thus satisfaction was made to Divine justice, and the way of salvation opened for the sinner. By the Spirit the law of love is written upon the heart, and though the righteousness of the law is not fulfilled by us, yet, blessed be God, it is fulfilled in us; there is that in all true believers, which answers the intention of the law.
The favour of God, the welfare of the soul, the concerns of eternity, are the things of the Spirit, which those that are after the Spirit do mind. Which way do our thoughts move with most pleasure? Which way go our plans and contrivances? Are we most wise for the world or for our souls? This next paragraph should by those living in Luxurious sin pay particular attention to.
Those that live in pleasure are dead, 1 Timothy 5:6. A sanctified soul is a living soul; and that life is peace. The carnal mind is not only an enemy to God but enmity itself. The carnal man may, by the power of Divine grace, be made subject to the law of God, but the carnal mind never can; that must be broken and driven out. We may know our real state and character by inquiring whether we have the Spirit of God and Christ, or not, 1 Timothy 5:9. Ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. Having the Spirit of Christ, means having a turn of mind in some degree like the mind that was in Christ Jesus, and is to be shown by a life and conversation suitable to his precepts and example.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
