SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION

James 4:13-16 NKJV
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; [14] whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. [15] Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” [16] But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

COMMENTARY!

Our days are drawing closer to the Lord’s returning to lift His righteous children into the clouds to join Him.    1 Thessalonians 4:17 NKJV Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Now it becomes important that the Ecclesia be informed and I am adding this, at the urging of the Holy Spirit, WARNED!

Some will say warned about what? Why would the Holy Spirit bring forward a message of warning to God’s people.

“Go to now,” is a call to anyone to consider his conduct as being wrong. How apt worldly and contriving men are to leave God out of their plans! How vain it is to look for anything good without God’s blessing and guidance! The frailty, shortness, and uncertainty of life ought to check the vanity and presumptuous confidence of all projects for futurity.

We can fix the hour and minute of the sun’s rising and setting tomorrow, but we can not fix the certain time of a vapor being scattered. So short, unreal, and fading is human life, and all the prosperity or enjoyment that attends it; though bliss or woe forever must be according to our conduct during this fleeting moment. We are always to depend on the will of God.

Our times are not in our own hands but at the disposal of God. Our heads may be filled with care and contrivances for ourselves, or our families, or our friends; but Providence often throws our plans into confusion. All we design, and all we do, should be with submissive dependence on God.

It is foolish, and it is hurtful to boast of worldly things and aspiring projects; it will bring great disappointment and will prove destruction in the end. Omissions are sins that will be brought into judgment, as well as commissions.

He that does not do good he knows should be done, as well as he who does the evil he knows should not be done, will be condemned. Oh, that we were as careful not to omit prayer and not to neglect to meditate and examine our consciences, as we are not to commit gross outward vices against light!

“OH,” I am hearing so many laying plans for their lifting out and joining Yeshua and his angels in the clouds. I listen to them laying prayers before Yeshua’s feet asking intercession to speed up His return , as they languish in their hearts to be with our Lord. What comes to mind James 4:14, whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Then what comes to mind is this question: Who are these who do not have compassion for those remaining in darkness who are seeking freedom. Why having received what is related in 1 Peter 1:22-23 NLT
You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. [23] For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

Would pray for our Lord’s quick return, potentially abandoning those whom Yahewa has chosen and placed under His Grace and yet to be offered a new life in 1Peter 1:23 [23] For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. When you pray to be lifted from the trials and tribulations of the days while waiting. The imminent return of Christ should motivate us to live for him. This means being mentally alert (“prepare your minds”), disciplined (“exercise self-control”), and focused (“put all your hope in”). Are you ready to meet Christ, living as God’s obedient child?

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold, though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.

So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Don’t let Satan fill your heads with, you won’t be able to endure his trials and tribulations. Turn your prayers into pleas to Yeshua for strength, and endurance supported by determination and perseverance supported by the knowledge and understanding the gift of discernment offers as wisdom to know when, where, who to, and how to place your demonstration of God’s love and compassion is real and that God is alive and abiding with us as he did for Ezekiel.

Nothing creates confusion and dismay than misplaced prayer stimulated by doubt and fear bolstered by too much information not pondered on and discerned.

I am going to close with sharing this scripture in hopes you will discern it and use its points of truth as template to measure your walk because in my eyes these verses describe the spirit of arrogance which may be abiding in some Assemblies and their Ecclesia. Remember it’s not given as judgment but as a template to measure and compare in order to discover and root out ARROGANCE!

James 3:13-18 NLT
If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. [14] But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. [15] For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. [16] For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. [17] But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. [18] And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
