SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION
Philippians 2:8 KJV
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
OUR PRAYER!
Heavenly Father, hear this declaration unto your greatness and mercies within our lives. Lord, we know our days are growing shorter for your return. We bring our thanks before your throne and plead for additional strength and courage to face those who have strayed. Place within us the words to cut the cords of delusion from their minds and words to remove the sheaths from their eyes that your light may shine before them again embellishing your narrow path to follow. Be with us, Lord, as you draw these lost souls across our path that we might place before them your words for them to hear your truth and return to your welcoming bosom. In all that you have tasked us to perform, bring unto us your discernment, filling us with your understanding and knowledge required to utilize your heavenly wisdom, to distribute your living water to those desiring to be at your well. In all of this I pray in Yeshua’s name and all of God’s children said Amen and Amen.
COMMENTARY!
The example of our Lord Jesus Christ is set before us. We must resemble him in his life, if we would have the benefit of his death. Notice the two natures of Christ; his Divine nature, and human nature. Who being in the form of God, partaking the Divine nature, as the eternal and only-begotten Son of God, John 1:1, had not thought it a robbery to be equal with God, and to receive Divine worship from men.
His human nature; herein he became like us in all things except sin. Thus low, of his own will, he stooped from the glory he had with the Father before the world was. Christ’s two states, of humiliation and exaltation, are noticed. Christ not only took upon him the likeness and fashion, or form of a man, but of one in a low state; not appearing in splendor. His whole life was a life of poverty and suffering. But the lowest step was his dying, the death of the cross, the death of a malefactor and a slave; exposed to public hatred and scorn.
The exaltation was of Christ’s human nature, in union with the Divine. At the name of Jesus, not the mere sound of the word, but the authority of Jesus, all should pay solemn homage. It is to the glory of God the Father, to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord; for it is his will, that all men should honour the Son as they honour the Father, John 5:23.
Here, we see such motives to self-denying love as nothing else can supply. Do we thus love and obey the Son of God?
But all things now, and at the final judgment, are committed to the Son, purposely that all men might honour the Son, as they honour the Father; and every one who does not thus honour the Son, whatever he may think or pretend, does not honour the Father who sent him.

[4]In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen
