COMMENTARY!

What the Holy Spirit brought to me today not only opened my whole being to note who is present but whose voice is being discerned through the words of Scripture.

It is readily acceptable that as followers of Yahewa through his Son Yeshua we are being prepared by the Holy Spirit to know our Father in heaven Yahewa before we join him Eternally.

I have quoted my dear brother in Yeshua Robert  Woodward’s postings in the past. However, this particular posting awoke my spirit to its valuable sustenance it held for my soul and where my souls desire to be fed spiritually  was being presented and how as well whose voice my soul was hearing as it was being fed.

Here’s pastor Woodward’s posting. Good morning in Yeshua on this day that He has made, let us rejoice and be glad for in Him we are more than conquerors. The temperature is 72 and the forecast high is 96.

“How then shall they call upon him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not HEARD? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”  Romans 10:14.

To receive Christ hearing is imperative, to receive knowledge of any kind hearing is imperative. I am more and more convinced that God the Father has put us in the natural state in order for us to learn the spiritual.

“How be it that which is not first is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterwards that which is spiritual.”                              1 Corinthians 15:4

A baby learns to speak by hearing the words of the parents. This is so strongly applicable for our spiritual health. It is apparent that the first steps to life is that of hearing rather natural or spiritual, and yet if we are not careful after we have excepted Christ we take the attitude, I have learned, I have heard, and spend our time assuming we know more than we know.

“For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, (ordinances of the LAW) lest any man shall boast.”   Ephesians 2:8-9
It is THROUGH faith that we come to salvation, but how do we come to faith.
“Faith comes by HEARING and HEARING by the WORD OF GOD.”    Romans 10:17
So then if we have faith for a pie in the sky in the sweet by and by only, how do we aquire a greater faith?  …. By hearing the word of God.
(Caution, there are a lot of watered down versions, take care to choose one that contains meat of the word)
I have been amazed by watching someone read silently, often their lips form the words they are reading …. reading is a form of hearing. The term hearing is indicative of the intake of knowledge, this is also inclusive of “hearing” that which is contrary to faith and detrimental to our walk with God. And hearing that which is not of faith does in fact deminish and destroy faith.

The process of hearing needs to be habitual and continue increasingly as we mature in our faith. Let us remember the Acts 17:11 mandate, to hear, to receive, and then take what we have heard to the Lord in study and prayer prior to making it a part of our arsenal.

THE FIRST STEP “HEARING” let us go on to greatness in our God, Yeshua HaMassiah  …

As I pondered Pastor Woodward’s posting, it was becoming clear of what the Holy Spirit was offering as a new insight towards the real importance of the accuracy of the written and translated word, (today’s Bible) and why. Genesis 2:7 KJV
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

In this action, man was not only separated from the beasts but as well given the knowledge of who created him, and within that knowledge, a spiritual memory of the creator along with the ability to recognize His voice through those written words.

Man was made of the small dust, such as is on the surface of the earth. The soul was not made of the earth, as the body: pity then that it should cleave to the earth, and mind earthly things.

At this point, I was awakened to whose table we are spiritually being summoned to when we open our Bibles. Psalms 23:5
[5]Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

What comes to mind is this fact, accepted throughout Christianity that the words of scripture are the words of God given unto man by the Holy Spirit to be heard and shared. John 3:34 KJV
For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. Renewed hearts bid this light welcome. A good man acts truly and sincerely in all he does. He desires to know what the will of God is and to do it, though against his own worldly interest. Psalms 23:3,
[3]He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. A change in his whole character and conduct has taken place. The love of God is shed abroad in his heart by the Holy Spirit, and any is become the commanding principle of his actions.

It was becoming clear that what our soul was hearing was the voice of God being spoken by either the disciples of Yeshua or the Holy Spirit when we opened our Bibles either to confirm what we heard from the disciples or desired to study. We are presenting ourselves at Yeshua’s table to partake in what his father, Yahweh, is  offering as spiritual sustenance for our soul.

Psalms 23:5

Our soul is able to recognize our Father’s voice by being the living spirit Yahewa once shared with us.

Amen and Amen let us all hear the spoken words of God gifted to us in scripture to be heard thousands of years later as we sit at God’s table and satisfy our souls yearning and hungering desire to once again hear our Lord’s voice through the spoken words at his table through those captured words of our BIBLES now being offered as God’s banquet.

Blessings, man of God for bringing us to the table to once again hear God’s voice through your spoken message in our minds. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.
