Luke 18:22-23 KJV
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. [23] And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
ROBERT’S OPEN DECLARATION!”
My position in presenting these postings is done not as a pastor, minister, or teacher of God’s words. They are brought forward as messages to be discerned by those receiving them and choosing personally how to react. Scriptural foundation for their delivery Ezekiel 33:9
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
It is with great love for all given to me by Yeshua that you are receiving them. Luke 10:16
[16]He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen
COMMENTARY!
When you discern Luke 18:23, you will be able to ascertain one of the main reasons many people fall into this category. Plain and simple truth or as those in the world like to put it, getting down to the real nitty-gritty of what Yeshua is talking about.
Yeshua’s asking me to give up all my luxuries and comforts and give it to others to enjoy. To follow him (Yeshua and His teachings) into constant turmoil, trials, tribulations, being persecuted, hated, rejected, and seen as a fool.
So here we are in our walk and are hearing all of Satan’s objections of why we shouldn’t give up what leisure and luxury our current life is presenting to us.
I am able today with dedicated work to obtain like this young man the comforts of my time and, like this young man, continue worshipping Yeshua and being what I see as being obedient.
Here is my question: Do you believe that our Lord is offering you greater comforts and luxuries as a part of our next life? Second, part of that question, then does our Lord set any conditions in this life for us to receive those comforts and luxuries to come?
Luke 18:29-30 KJV
And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, [30] Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
So, as we continue forward with your thought process that you can continue enjoying your leisure and luxuries while worshipping God and see no problem with your walk. Matthew Henry, in his commentary about Luke 18: 29 and 30, related this information. Many who are loth to leave Christ, yet do leave him. After a long struggle between their convictions and their corruptions, their corruptions carry the day. They are very sorry that they cannot serve both; but if one must be quitted, it shall be their God, not their wordly gain. Their boasted obedience will be found in a mere outside show; the love of the world in some form or other lies at the root.
Perhaps in that commentary, we find the mindset of many today on why they are not fully committed to God.
Now my question to this group and apparently it consists of multitudes within the Ecclesia. What part of Luke 18:29-30 do you doubt will occur? Or are you under the prosperity teaching? When we again look at Luke 18:22 KJV
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
And use our discernment it becomes clear the condition set out for us to obtain his promised gifts stems on our actions in this life. Luke 16:25 KJV
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Sinners are now called upon to remember; but they do not, they will not, they find ways to avoid it. As wicked people have good things only in this life, and at death are for ever separated from all good, so godly people have suffered through trials, tribulations and evil things in this life, and at death they are for ever separated from them. In this world, blessed be God, there is no gulf between a state of nature and grace, we may pass from sin to God; but if we die in our sins, there is no coming out. There really is only a choice being presented. How we respond is the determining factor. You can choose now to enjoy or commit to pay the price and enjoy later it comes down to how you decide.
Heavenly wisdom has been uncovered in the previous statement. That what is presented as trials and tribulations to shape and mold us in this life, at death disappears. But in eternity, our suffering through our commitment now has value and becomes our payment in full to receive the promised treasures so dearly paid for through our days of sufferings, as did Yeshua during his walk in the flesh.
Here, we find the reasoning for sharing with the poor because it is what Yeshua did when he was in the flesh. His sharing of all. Because he had no physical attachment to the world. Is an example how we, when we follow his teaching, have as Yeshua did, the Love and compassion Yahewa our Father in heaven has for all.
Now, we are able to reason, Yeshua blesses us with necessities, sustenance, and accommodation, all of which as Paul described in Philippians 4:11 KJV
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Now, discern through prayer what actions the Lord desires for you to take when you choose to take up this mantel of full commitment. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in all of this.
It is important that you commit to the Lord, and the Holy Spirit guides you in this commitment. As you will find, initially, it is difficult to separate from the grasp the world holds on your heart.
What this boils down to is choosing one of two things. Comfort and leisure or turmoils through trials and tribulations to gain one of God’s eternal gifts.
Many when faced with this choice react as the rich young man did Luke 18:23
[23]And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa.
