SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION!

Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

OUR PRAYER!

Heavenly Father, I come before your throne, placing a petition for wisdom before you. It is with a repentant heart that this request is revealed. In your service, Father you have revealed the state of many hearts who claim service in your name. Through this wisdom, Lord, my call to you is to search the hearts of those who unwittingly err in their service. Lift from their eyes the scales of delusion and from their hearts the dart of self righteousness. Loose a deepening upon their discernment to strengthen their understanding of their position within worldly compassion and bring conquering knowledge to  the forefront of their walk that your wisdom may prevail to make a change in their choice of paths to follow. Brighten your light Lord that it will shine on the way needed to once again travel the narrow path and that many of the flocks will return to your light, forgiveness, love, and peace. Then in their return, you will answer their prayers to have the needs of their flocks met Heavenly Father. In all of this I pray in the name of Yeshua. And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen.

COMMENTARY

The parable of the lost sheep is very applicable to the great work of man’s redemption. The lost sheep represents the sinner as departed from God and exposed to certain ruin if not brought back to him, yet not desirous to return. Christ is earnest in bringing sinners home. In the parable of the lost piece of silver, that which is lost, is one piece of small value compared with the rest. Yet the woman seeks diligently till she finds it. This represents the various means and methods God makes use of to bring lost souls home to himself and the Saviour’s joy on their return to him. How careful then should we be that our repentance is unto salvation!
