CONTENTION IS THE SEEDS OF PRIDE, UNBELIEF, VAIN YEARNINGS,  DOUBT, AND DISLIKE!

“ROBERT’S OPEN DECLARATION!”
My position in presenting these articles is done not as a Pastor, Minister, or Teacher of God’s words. They are brought forward as messages to be discerned by those receiving them and choosing personally how to react. Scriptural foundation for their delivery Ezekiel 33:9
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
It is with great love for all given to me by Yeshua that you are receiving them. Luke 10:16
[16]He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.  And all of God’s children say Amen and Amen

SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION!

Philippians 4:11 KJV
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

COMMENTARY!

The nature of true Christian sympathy is not only to feel concern for our friends in their troubles but to do what we can to help them. The apostle was often in bonds, imprisonments, and necessities; but in all, he learned to be content, to bring his mind to his condition, and to make the best of it.

Pride, unbelief, vain hankering after something we have not, and dislike of present things make men discontented even under favorable circumstances. Let us pray for patient submission and hope when we are abased; for humility and a heavenly mind when exalted. It is a special grace to have an equal temper of mind always. And in a low state not to lose our comfort in God, nor distrust his providence, nor take any wrong course for our own supply.

In a prosperous condition, not to be proud, or secure, or worldly. This is a harder lesson than the other; for the temptations of fulness and prosperity are more than those of affliction and want.

When brought into the greatest straits, we cannot be poorer than when we came into this world; a shroud, a coffin, and a grave, are all that the richest man in the world can have from all his wealth. If nature should be content with a little, grace should be content with less.

The necessaries of life bound a true Christian’s desires, and with these, he will endeavour to be content. We see here the evil of covetousness.

It is not said, they that are rich, but they will be rich; who place their happiness in wealth, and are eager and determined in the pursuit. Those that are such give Satan the opportunity of tempting them, leading them to use dishonest means, and other bad practices, to add to their gains.

Also, leading into so many employments, and such a hurry of business, as leave no time or inclination for spiritual religion; leading to connections that draw into sin and folly. What sins will not men be drawn into by the love of money!

People may have money, and yet not love it; but if they love it, this will push them on to all evil. Every sort of wickedness and vice, in one way or another, grows from the love of money. We can not look around without perceiving many proofs of this, especially in a day of outward prosperity, great expenses, and a loose profession.

Daily, I receive requests from declared men and women of God, asking for monetary support for care of orphans and widows, who are in their care. All I have to offer is prayer and bringing them to the knowledge revealed in

1 Timothy 6:10
[10]For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

A harsh reality bolstered by the tactics many are prepared to utilize in order to fulfill what they believe is God’s work.

1 Timothy 6:11
[11]But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

It ill becomes any men, but especially men of God, to set their hearts upon the things of this world; men of God should be taken up with the things of God. There must be a conflict with corruption, temptations, and the powers of darkness. Eternal life is the crown proposed for our encouragement. We are called to lay hold thereon.

The line to becoming content through faith, is very fine. Our human needs of food, clothing, and housing are front and center. These are the very tools Satan uses to draw believers from their faith. Drawing us into stepping away from our Lord’s wisdom 1 Timothy 4:8 KJV
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Our days ahead for all believers are opening up to deep contentions amongst the Ecclesia. There are many who have either forgotten or choose to ignore. No diligence in mere outward things could be of much use.

The gain of godliness lies much in the promise; and the promises to godly people relate partly to the life that now is, but especially to the life which is to come: though we lose for Christ, we shall not lose by him. If Christ be thus the Saviour of all men, then much more will he be the Rewarder of those who seek and serve him; he will provide well for those whom he has made new creatures.

There is much to be garnered as knowledge of God in our lives to support our standing on faith and trusting in God’s promises.

To all his precepts, warnings, and prophecies, Moses added a solemn blessing. He begins with a description of the glorious appearances of God in giving the law. His law works like fire. If received, it is melting, warming, purifying, and burns up the dross of corruption; if rejected, it hardens, sears, pains, and destroys. The Holy Spirit came down in cloven tongues as of fire; for the gospel, which is also a fiery law. The law of God written in the heart is a certain proof of the love of God shed abroad there: we must reckon His law one of the gifts of his grace.

As we prepare for the days ahead, keep in mind the subtle tools that will be placed before you to draw you away from faith and into sowing the seeds of contention.

Those who would learn the things of God and be assured of them must know the Holy Scriptures, for they are the Divine revelation. The age of children is the age to learn; and those who would get true learning must get it out of the Scriptures.

They must not lie by us neglected, seldom, or never looked into. The Bible is a sure guide to eternal life. The prophets and apostles did not speak from themselves but delivered what they received of God, 2 Peter 1:21.

It is profitable for all purposes of the Christian life. It is of use to all, for all need to be taught, corrected, and reproved. There is something in the Scriptures suitable for every case. Oh, that we may love our Bibles more, and keep closer to them! then shall we find benefit, and at last gain the happiness therein promised by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the main subject of both Testaments. We best oppose error by promoting a solid knowledge of the word of truth; and the greatest kindness we can do to children, is to make them early to know the Bible.

2 Peter 2:9 KJV
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Robert a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa. And all of God’s children said Amen and Amen.
