Leviticus 26:41 KJV
And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity.

COMMENTARY!

In todays world, the Ecclesia is facing an oncoming scourge leveled at believers dependent on the luxuries, comforts, possessions, and monetary power of that world. Those who will continue in this way will find the world turning against them and bringing great tribulations into their lives and those affiliated with them.

You must turn to prayer hear the Lord’s leading back into walking with faith. These times of peace are for the flock to turn to God for His caring as promised. This warning now is likened to exercising a muscle. The more you exercise your faith, the stronger it becomes the more knowledge and understanding will be gained, leading you to a Godly wisdom. A wisdom arming you on how to deal with the troubled times ahead. But more so how to maintain your journey on the narrow path.

After God has set a blessing before them which would make them a happy people if they would be obedient, he here sets the curse before them, the evils which would make them miserable, if they were disobedient.

Two things would bring ruin 1. A contempt of God’s commandments. They that reject the precept will come at last to renounce the covenant

2. A contempt of his corrections. If they will not learn obedience by the things they suffer, God himself would be against them; and this is the root and cause of all their misery. Also, The whole creation would be at war with them. All God’s sore judgments would be sent against them.

The threatenings here are very particular, they were prophecies, and He that foresaw all their rebellions knew they would prove so. TEMPORAL judgments are threatened. Those who will not be parted from their sins by the commands of God, shall be parted from them by judgments.

Those wedded to their lusts will have enough of them. SPIRITUAL judgments are threatened, which should seize the mind. They should find no acceptance with God. A guilty conscience would be their continual terror. It is righteous with God to leave those to despair of pardon, who presume to sin; and it is owing to free grace, if we are not left to pine away in the iniquity we were born in, and have lived in.

The wisdom gathered in exercising your faith will bring forward the strength to discern your surroundings and those within them. It will offer an understanding of the moods of that gathering.

When plain arguments and truths provoke the opposers of the gospel, they should be shown their guilt and danger. They, like their fathers, were stubborn and wilful. There is that in our sinful hearts, which always resists the Holy Ghost, a flesh that lusts against the Spirit, and wars against his motions; but in the hearts of God’s elect, when the fulness of time comes, this resistance is overcome. The gospel was offered now, not by angels, but from the Holy Ghost; yet they did not embrace it, for they were resolved not to comply with God, either in his law or in his gospel. Their guilt stung them to the heart, and they sought relief in murdering their reprover instead of sorrow and supplication for mercy. Therefore brake off, and by the Spirit of wisdom, courage, and power, sharply rebuked your persecutors.

Know that in times when the multitude is greatly suffering; your peace and physical abundance will become a point of contention and attack. This then is where having exercised your faith and separated from the dependency on the world will reap this protection Psalms 91:1,4

[4]He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

No greater reward is there than being obedient as a humble servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa.
