2 Peter 2:9-10 KJV
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: [10] But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
Take heed what you do. His wisdom and power will surely effect the purposes of his love, and the engagements of his truth; while wicked men often escape suffering here, because they are kept to the day of judgment, to be punished with the devil and his angels.
Impure seducers and their abandoned followers, give themselves up to their own fleshly minds. Refusing to bring every thought to the obedience of Christ, they act against God’s righteous precepts.
They walk after the flesh, they go on in sinful courses, and increase to greater degrees of impurity and wickedness. They also despise those whom God has set in authority over them and require them to honour.
Outward temporal good things are the wages sinners expect and promise themselves. And none have more cause to tremble than those who are bold to gratify their sinful lusts by presuming on the Divine grace and mercy. Many such there have been, and are, who speak lightly of the restraints of God’s law and deem themselves freed from obligations to obey it. Let Christians stand at a distance from such.
False teachers are dreamers; they greatly defile and grievously wound the soul. These teachers are of a disturbed mind and a seditious spirit; forgetting that the powers that be are ordained of God, Romans 13:1.
The grace of the gospel teaches us submission and quiet, where pride and the carnal mind only see causes for murmuring and discontent. Whatever the persons in authority over us themselves may be, yet the just power they have, must be submitted to and obeyed.
In the general course of human affairs, rulers are not a terror to honest, quiet, and good subjects, but to evil-doers. Such is the power of sin and corruption, and many will be kept back from crimes only by the fear of punishment. Thou hast the benefit of the government, therefore do what you can to preserve it, and nothing to disturb it. This directs private persons to behave quietly and peaceably where God has set them, 1 Timothy 2:1, 1 Timothy 2:2.
The disciples of Christ must be praying people; all, without distinction of nation, sect, rank, or party. Our duty as Christians is summed up in two words; godliness, that is, the right worshipping of God; and honesty, that is, good conduct toward all men.
These must go together: we are not truly honest, if we are not godly, and do not render to God his due; and we are not truly godly, if not honest. What is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, we should abound in. There is one mediator, and that mediator gave himself a ransom for all.

Robert, a humble obedient servant to Yeshua and his Father in heaven Yahewa.
