HOW FAR DOES YOUR ACT OF CHARITY REACH?

Luke 10:30-36 KJV
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. [31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. [32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. [33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, [34] And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. [36] Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

Faith (14) and Mary (16) needs are not great! Their desire is simple to be cared for and educated! Is their situation unique perhaps, however, most likely not.

Were they robbed and wounded, certainly of a dad who should be caring, loving, and providing for their needs. How then do we know they are wounded and are suffering as victims. In two ways, emotionally, through the rejection and breaking of trust, their parents would be there too provide. The other is the feeling of rejection by those who their appeal went out to for support.

Question: Can you use distance as an excuse not to know your neighbor in need? Question: How far should the act of charity reach? I believe Yeshua provided an answer! And possibly few want to hear His answer as it may overcome their rationalizations and justifications to consider a neighbor may exist thousands of miles away. Yes, there is need locally as well. However, it should not be used as an excuse to ignore the needs of others.

Matthew 25:35-40 NKJV
for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; [36] I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ [37] “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? [38] When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? [39] Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ [40] And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

As I stated, the need for these sisters is not great. To complete their needs 14 individuals with 10 dollars each will fulfill their need at this time. Or if there is one individual able to provide $140C.
