Many who profess they walk with Yeshua are unable to answer this question as they are too busy looking after their worldly concerns and affairs.

We are shown it is through carelessness that many fall away or stray from the narrow path. It is not easy to answer the question. It takes courage to look into life’s mirror and see our shortfalls. However, to answer the question and understand what level of determination we must demonstrate, it is essential to do so.

The key to our success is being honest about what we recognize reflecting back to us. I am not alluding to the worldly aspects of our being, but what we recognize is being offered to Yeshua as our spiritual contribution within our personal relationship with him.

The imputed righteousness of Christ and the sanctification of the Spirit are both alike necessary. No man has the wedding-garment by nature or can form it for himself. The day is coming when hypocrites will be called to account for all their presumptuous intruding into gospel ordinances and usurpation of gospel privileges.

Hypocrites go by the light of the gospel itself down to utter darkness. Many are called to the wedding-feast, that is, to salvation, but few have the wedding-garment, the righteousness of Christ, the sanctification of the Spirit. Then let us examine ourselves whether we are in the faith and seek to be approved by the King.

Those who abound in any grace need to abound more. Try things that differ; we may approve the things that are excellent. The truths and laws of Christ are excellent; and they recommend themselves as such to any attentive mind. Sincerity is that in which we should have our conversation in the world, and it is the glory of all our graces.

Christians should not be apt to take offense and should be very careful not to offend God or the brethren. The things that most honor God will most benefit us. Let us not leave it doubtful whether any good fruit is found in us or not. A small measure of Christian love, knowledge, and fruitfulness should not satisfy any.
